  1. Ditto. I was getting excited till Ah-Ha shot it down... now I'm wondering, was the original speculation of it being a Zeta based product (originally shown with an Opel badge) possible? I wonder? Care to chime in, Ah-Ha.

    Buick & Pontiac

I've got to say, I disagree with the plan 100%. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, ofcourse.
  3. Though I was never impressed with that concept, I idea of a 200SX successor is a great idea. I hope Nissan follows through with it. I wouldn't be suprised if Infiniti used the lightweight, RWD plaform to underpin a fun, compact RWD car possitioned under the G. Ideally, it would combat the 1-Series directly, but also compete with the Volvo C30, Audi A3, and Acura TSX.
  4. Ofcourse, this is all speculation... like toni said, we don't even know what platform that's on for sure. Hopefully, though, it's a Zeta. If it is, I see that exact car, with a Velite waterfall grill, ventiports, and the word Lucerne on the rear. Make it happen, GM. Saturn shouldn't get RWD cars, IMHO.
  5. This is great news. I sincerely hope that the inital launch of whatever versions they bring over are a success, so that they're encouraged to bring over the other versions. The Astra is kicks ass.
  6. I think this looks awesome; class leading.
  7. I agree 100%! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one thinking this way... Bring the Caprice as the Buick flagship with standard V8 and it'll be the perfect competitor to the LS460; the other Zeta could have both V6 and V8 options and could become the next Gen Lucerne to kill the GS.
  8. To many vehicles, IMO. Buick aims to be a value luxury brand. That means, no FWD vehicles. If any, it should a next gen LaCrosse on EPII, and marketed as a direct competitor to the ES350. Also, dropping the much loved 3800 is the righ decision. Buick's engines should include the 3.6L HFV6 @ 290-300HP and a V8 at around 350HP. Buick's should have a 6sp transmission in every vehicle. The next Gen Lucerne and flagship Roadmaster (or whatever it's called) should be on Zeta. In addition, there should be a grand touring Velite, the Enclave, and the croosover Buick positioned under the Enclave. All should be positioned as ultra quiet with it's "Quiet Tuning" technology, with plenty of power and good materials. So, that's LaCrosse - FWD, 3.6L HFV6 @ 290HP / 6spd - Alternative to ES350 Lucerne - RWD, 3.6L HFV6 @ 290HP / 6sp; opt. V8 @ 350HP Flagship - RWD, V8 @ 350HP - alternative to LS Velite Enclave next gen Theta Buick Why can't Buick be a luxury brand with an eye towards value? Buicks should be powerful, quiet, refined, and understated. There's still plenty of room for Caddy to shine with the V-Series, niche models to battle MB directly (like a CLS compeitor), etc.
  9. I still like the car. I don't see to much cheap looking about it, besides the color. Worst color possible for that car, no matter how fun it's supposed to be.
  10. To much chrome on the bumper, but it's a nice upgrade. Looks "truckier."
  11. I like it. Both front and (especiall) the back. I love that they have the 6sp mated to both engines, along with the I4. The V6 6Spd version should be alot of fun to fling around.
  12. I'll take a CXL on 20's, thankyou.
  13. An absolute home run. I love this SUV, period. NOTE... The Enclave will only be offered in CX and CXL trims to start... something tells me that a certain special V8 is coming soon the CXS trim. P.S. Oh, flybrian beat me too that little note... still though, cool.
  14. I love the interior of this car. It should atleast be an option. Also, the 4inch stretch should be standard here also.
  15. I agree with the notion that the Acadia is redundant because of the existence of the Enclave. A "Professional Grade" Lambda wasn't really needed, IMHO.
  16. I loved them both! They couldn't have done better with those spots.
  17. Yep. Look at cars like the Camry, Sonata, and ML460. All cars made in the U.S. One can ask, what's Japanese, Korean, and German about those cars? Respective designs and branding.
  18. I see your point, and I agree 100%. Caddy's, at the least, should be RWD.
  19. I disagree. Every luxury segment is rushing to get into the compact lux crossover segment. The RDX and X3 are the only two the segment. Infiniti is coming with the CX, Mercedes is coming with the MLK(tenative name), and Lexus is coming with one also. IMO, Buick, Saab, and Caddy should all have seperate and distinct offerings in that segment.
  20. I see your point, and agree with most of it. Though the next Malibu won't shake the segment to it's core, it's seems that it will finally, finally be a true competitor to the bread and butter leaders of the segment. If it can finally put real dent in Camry's sales, then Chevy's got a success. The next Impala, from all the rumors and CGI's I've seen will be absolutely awesome. I think the Impala and Malibu will both draw customers into the showroom, and sales will feed off each other, and help elevate the entire lineup. In esscence, the Malibu WILL do for Chevy what the Fusion DIDN'T do for Ford... not say the Fusion's a sub-par product, because it's not. But it (nor the 500) were the saviors of Ford that Ford thought they would be.
  21. Looks good. I can't wait to see more of it, and the Caddy version. This segment will be red hot in another few years as every lux maker gets in it.
  22. Agreed. That's the point I was trying to make. For instance, the Infiniti M's LEDs look beautiful when turn on (two touching led circles, one larger than the other) at night. Those are my favorite taillamps on the market one time.
  23. It would have been nice to have LEDs. Not necessary though. The interior looks great.
  24. Le Mans is a great comeback name. I like Tempest too. I think an all RWD lineup is in the not to distant future; Solstice Torana based Sedan - 2.4 Ecotec w/ the 3.6L HFV6 option @ 280HP Same for the Torana based Coupe Commodore based Sedan - 3.6L HFV6 @280HP w/ V8 option @ atleast 350HP (to beat the 300C's 340HP Hemi) GTO returns as a coupe version of the Commodore Sedan - V8 only Throw in a possible hot hatch version of either sedan, and you've got a great lineup. 1 roadster, 2 coupes, 2 sedans, and a possibe hot hatch (Magnum killer, anyone)
