  1. Man, I thought I was the only one that was bothered by the STSs led rear lights when they light up. So many tail lights when lit, look all wonky. The current CTS is a case in point...a total mess. I often wonder why designers and car makers don't do rear tail lights with the end result in mind. I'm really liking the latest BMWs rear lenses...they gave it some consideration. I notice they are on during the daytime using LED lighting rods...very subtle, cool look.
  2. ...and I totally forgot, saw a new Maserati Quattroporte while driving....that car just looks so good in motion, beautiful.
  3. Been seeing more than a few new Corvette Z06s around....a real treat on the street. Seen a few of the new Bentley coupes and sedans. Couple days ago saw a new Rolls Royce, now that car has street presence...phew. Numerous Ferraris roaming...I never tire of the sound of their engines. Recent Lambo Diablo sighting....pure unbridled lustful car...I think I'm a bit damp still. And there are so many new Corvettes, Porsches happening here, they almost seem common. Lotus is being seen as well. It's been a great summer for hot car sightings. The very hot weather has been good too.
  4. I like this car alot, but was hoping for a better rearview. The 3/4 view is still slightly ungainly. With the new led bulbs you would think they could do something real minimal with the tailights, just a sliver of vertical red. Think the early Eldos....that very elegant vertical tailight. Still the sexiest element on Cadillacs when done right.
  5. The American gov't sure seems to have it in for their automobile manufacturers. I think they actually want them to go under. The new mpg standards will have profound effects...Chrysler will be the first to go out of business. I guess the Detroit haters are finally starting to win the battle. We will be left with fewer cars to choose from and costing much, much more. Are Americans increasingly becoming self-loathing? It appears that way. I don't get it.
  6. I found the name: OPEL MANTA RALLYE
  7. What did they call the Manta with the blacked out hood?
  8. One of my favorite Opels from the past. Really nice little coupe.
  9. Rekord?
  10. Calibra?
  11. Opel Commodore?
  12. Oh I forgot, the current CTS's butt is, well, butt-ugly. Thankfully the next generation addressed this.
  13. And while I'm at it: ...bring back names for your models and we'll forgive you this silly flirting with letters, they are meaningless, boring. you have Escalade, so just do it for the others.
  14. Audi shouldn't be doing hatchback 4 cyl models either. They have VW for that. Audi/VW hasn't cornered the market on marketing wisdom. VW is a prime example of bizarre model lineups. And they will pay dearly for it long into the future. And Saab is no Audi. Not even close.
  15. Saab needs to finally decide what it wants to be. Either be the eccentric, quirky car it used to be. Or, go flatout and become a luxury brand...sorry, but hatchback, turbo 4's just don't cut it if you are going after the BMW crowd. And while at it, stop cost cutting on interiors. And stop insulting everyone with stupid 9-2s and 9-7s. And stop building such unreliable cars.
  16. The DTS looks perfectly fine, even good looking. A perfectly good looking geriatric car. It's from another era and it was old then. Everytime I see one, I get so pissed off at GM and Cadillac. It should never have existed. It ain't no Cadillac. It's masquarading as one. I dream of the day when Cadillac will break out and make people wet themselves at the sight of their cars. And not settle for the mediocrity that is the DTS and STS. Cadillac is iconic, it's more than just a car. Cadillac used to uber cool. Ultra hip. The Escalade brought that back a bit. They have a ways to go yet. Please come back, Cadillac. I'm waiting for you.
  17. The day that Buick becomes a Lexus clone, or in other words, souless, listless, dull and no driver involvement, is the day I'd never buy one. Buick needs to compete with it's own incredible past, not some deluxe Toyota.
  18. on one Camaro: on the other:
  19. I like everything about this car....stylish, dynamic, especially the rearend. The only thing I'm not hot on is the steering wheel, this design has been used a bit too much across GM carlines.
  20. !. get top notch photographers and present GM vehicles better in advance reveals, ads, websites and brochures...most are so bad....and choose the best body color for that particular vehicle so it shows for maximum effect 2. actually show the vehicle in ads rather than some abstract concept...example the Cadillac ads, one photo shows up close some lame actor in the window of an Escalade, see nothing of the vehicle...dumbest thing I've seen. 3. create some mystery in the ads, not so many words, keep it simple, minimal, make consumers lust after the vehicle...example, a Corvette ad, just the word 'LUST' and the sexiest photo of this car, all dark and moody 4. maybe do a throwback to times when ads were done by illustrators and showed an upbeat, optimistic view of American life 5. use humor sometimes, nothing catches my eye more than humor in ads. Most ads from most manufacturers are so boring, including GM.
