  1. Also, I don't get the Silverado....it only sold 49,000 and is down 26% vs. the F-150 selling 65,000 and remaining fairly flat. The F-series outsold both the Silverado and Sierra in June...that doesn't make sense.
  2. I'm a little worried with June's sales...what happened? Even a lot of the recent models are down such as the Tahoe. Just a quick skim down the page and I'm seeing a lot of 25-50% drops. I know some of it is decreasing fleet sales, but 25% is pretty substantial. There are some bright spots like the Enclave, Acadia, and Outlook, but some like the Aura are pretty puzzling. The new 'Bu, CTS, and G8 can't come soon enough.
  3. Actually, the fit has stayed pretty steady at that 5K level for a few months now. CR-V and Civic are doing well, though...the Civic seems to be doing much better compared to what it was doing when it was first released.
  4. FULL CHART: http://pressroom.toyota.com/Releases/View?...YT2007070389166 http://www.toyota.com/about/news/corporate...03-1-sales.html
  5. Damn, looks like the CR-V is still on top....19700 CR-V sales for June vs. 19,100 Escape sales.
  6. http://media.ford.com/newsroom/release_dis...m?release=26284 Last month I predicted Edge sales would be 12500 for June...they came out to be 12470. Escape sold over 19,000....I can't wait to see what the sales figures are for Toyota and Honda's small SUVs / crossovers. The Taurus sold 5800 for only its second month on sale. I'm going to bet it will be over 10,000 by August. Ford car sales are doing very well; the Fusion is down a little but still selling strong. The F-Series sales are flat over June '06 which is good to see. No real stinkers besides the obvious declines by the Explorer / Mountaineer, Ranger, and Panthers...pretty much all the old timers.
  7. My past girlfriends have all been the same way.
  8. That girl holding up and pointing to the 50 kmh sign was hot!
  9. I know, I was joking :AH-HA_wink:
  10. I hope they don't leave the PC fans out of this one...the great thing about GTA has always been the modding community. Plus, the graphics are usually better.
  11. It's definitely the Bugatti Veyron
  12. No kidding, I remember when we got older (like 11 or so) it would be a whole group of us going around with these huge bags filled with candy, so much that you'd still be eating it at Easter. Even though we had Nintendo and Sega and stuff like that growing up, kids still went outside and played. It's too bad, it's been proven that going outside and exploring at an early age really improves your sense of direction later in life.
  13. Another reason I'll never buy a Scion, and I'm in the target market.
  14. I saw some 11 year old girl texting the other day at the baseball game...holy cow are they fast! She was writing a freakin book too...probably 10 minutes straight of just punch punch punch space punch punch punch. My little cousin who added me on Myspace is always posting "txt me plz" bulletins, and she's like 12. When I was that age, I was outside playing with the other kids.
  15. Figures...EG coupe on Google reveals a lame ass Civic. Only ricer boyz would use obscure mfr. coding for a Civic.
  16. Remind me never to live in Virginia...'ol TJ (Thomas Jefferson) is probably shaking his head right now. And their speed limit on interstate highways is only 55! Talk about torture! http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/18/1818.asp
  17. I'm getting so tired of the greenies that have no f'ing clue. They peruse CNN for any global warming scraps they can find and start spitting at anything Detroit-related, even though a little five minute search shows that the Tahoe has the best fuel mileage of the full-sizers. It's because they're too god damn lazy and they have an axe to grind, so they find the easy targets like the make your own Tahoe commercial. I'm still not fully convinced how much we as humans have caused global warming. The technology we have now isn't advanced enough to predict what will happen in the next ten days, let alone ten years. Considering how much $$ certain enviro organizations are making off the hysteria, the rampant hypocrisy within (Gore), and the plays for political power...to say I'm skeptical is a bit of an understatement.
  18. Great band, one of the ones from the 90s that I think will be still be remembered long after the fact. It's one of the few bands where they have changed their style throughout the years yet I still enjoy it all. My favorite album is Siamese Dream. My favorites on it are Soma, Disarm, Cherub Rock, and Mayonnaise. Soma is just a kick ass song, one of the best ones put out by SP IMHO. People complained about Adore's change of direction but I like it. And even though Machina didn't sell well, it's a great album with a lot of good songs. One thing SP never seemed to do was sell out their sound to become more mainstream. They always did their own thing and a lot of their songs are very introspective and just have a sound that is entirely unique to them. I'm hoping the new album lives up to the rest of them...the cover is very interesting; Lady Liberty sinking with a setting sun in the background, quite symbolic of the state of America today. 19. Does Canada have the telephone and aeroplane, yet? :AH-HA_wink:
  20. I like the "Classique" 4-4-2...
  21. My little hometown of 5,000 people has a Charger as kind of the "show car" for parades and stuff. Most of the fleet is still Crown Vics and Impalas, though. Iowa Highway Patrol has traditionally used soley Crown Vics, but about a month ago I was driving on I-80 and saw a IHP Charger in white (which is odd, because they are usually brown or black). It really threw me off because it didn't have a lightbar either...just the badge on the side. Good thing I was only doing 5 over! Does anyone else's state patrol wear goofy hats?
  22. Here's a rusty "modded" Cavalier that prowls the streets around ISU, known as the "Redneck ricer" This gives you an idea of the rust these cars see, but it can be found much, much worse (like 6"-8" rust holes in the doors).
  23. Awesome! Glad to hear they played mostly off the first five albums...they have a few good tunes on later ones but lots of filler too. Does James still have that goat beard (I wish he'd get rid of that)? Here is the set list they played in 2004: August 30, 2004: Ames, Iowa, Hilton Coliseum Blackened Fuel No Leaf Clover Creeping Death Frantic The Thing That Should Not Be I Disappear St. Anger Fade To Black Master of Puppets Battery - - - - Wherever I May Roam Nothing Else Matters Sad But True One Enter Sandman - - - - Disposable Heroes Seek And Destroy I was glad they played something a little more rare like Disposable Heroes...apparently they hadn't played that one live since the 80s. I could have done without the St. Anger crap and No Leaf Clover, but some of the other newer ones they picked out weren't too bad. I was so glad they played Fade to Black...it's one of my favorite songs.
  24. GM and Ford have a much stronger hold on the large SUV market than Toyota has. For Toyota to make this thing bigger and heavier is just digging itself an earlier grave with the way gas prices are. GM has sold 59,000 Tahoes and Ford has sold 60,000 Expeditions through May. Meanwhile, Toyota has sold 11,000 Sequoias. And here they are making the pig even thirstier. Unless they have some surprise under the rug like a hybrid, I expect sales to tick up a little when first released and then it'll be piles of rebates on the hood like the Tundra. Just wait and see.
  25. That pretty much sums it up. It amazes me that in this day and age with the internet and more information than ever available at our fingertips, people are becoming more gullible and using less common sense. You can spend five minutes reading on the internet how deceitful Quixtar is, yet millions of newbies are sucked into its grasp each year. I just don't understand people sometimes.
