  1. James Hetfield's coming to kick you ass. http://youtube.com/watch?v=oCE1NnvonF0 So is Dave Mustaine
  2. I saw the movie a second time with a couple friends who hadn't seen it yet and wanted to go. One thing I noticed the first time and especially the second time that really pissed me off were the kids in the range of middle school up through high school (basically the ones who don't remember the original Transformers because they weren't born yet) were in the theater digging at the movie every chance they could get. We had four high school girls behind us that sounded like your stereotypical valley girl mall rats going "gawd, what a retarded movie," especially during the parts when Optimus Prime was speaking at the beginning and end. They would giggle every time one of the autobots said something. I don't get why people pay to see movies just to sit there and make fun of them.
  3. You want weird $h! off YouTube...well, here ya go!
  4. Heavier stuff recently Warrant (Germany) - The Enforcer / First Strike Sanctuary - Refuge Denied Pantera - Cowboys from Hell Testament - The Legacy Metallica - No Life 'Til Leather demo
  5. Albums listened to today (while at work): The Cult - Dreamtime The Cult - Love The Cult - Electric The Cult - Sonic Temple The Cult - Ceremony Ratt - Invasion of Your Privacy Ozzy - Diary of a Madman
  6. Yep, except it was some punk in a Cadillac Catera. I was at a "T" intersection outside of Polk City which has heavy traffic coming from Saylorville Lake that doesn't have to stop, so you really have to wait for the right opportunity to make a left turn. Well, I had been sitting there for about 2 minutes waiting for a break in traffic and finally one came...I took it. As I was picking up speed, some dick kid behind me (looked about my age) in a Catera who was probably doing 70 got up on my bumper as I was picking up speed; he didn't like the fact that he had to slow down. He rode my bumper for about two miles (traffic was heavy from the other direction so he couldn't pass)...keep in mind that I was doing 65 in a 55 zone. Well, I started getting tired of it so I lightly tapped my brakes and scared the $h! out of him, he backed off my bumper and started honking his horn and flashing his lights like an idiot. I rolled my window down and gave him the finger. That pissed him off even more so he started riding my bumper again, then found an opportunity to pass me and laid on his horn as I gave him the finger a second time. The guy was a real dickhead...and his Catera was all riced out with stickers and Altezzas; figures that a tool was behind the wheel.
  7. Apparently Gore's utility bill last year was $30,000. As much as I don't like Bush, his house uses geothermal heat pump (utilizing the consistent 55 F temp of the earth to reduce heating requirements), therefore making it a "greener" home than Gore's.
  8. Earthshaker is pretty good, but for some reason I've always liked the later stuff better. I recently bought a used copy of In Rock We Trust...good music but it has to be one of the cheesiest album covers I have ever seen.
  9. Last 5: Y&T - City Y&T - Come in from the Rain Y&T - Let It Out Y&T - Ten Lovers Y&T - Surrender all off the '90 album Ten...my second favorite Y&T album after Contagious

  11. Likewise, by the time the Camaro and Challenger are out, the Mustang will be getting a refresh. Who knows what Ford has in store...but they know they have to shake things up with two more competitors coming in the fray.
  12. Huh? I see a Cadillac XLR commercial.
  13. IMO, the Camaro is just as retro as the Mustang and Challenger. All three of them are modernized updates of the originals. I would argue that the Mustang and Camaro are on the same level of "retroness" due to the fact that the new Mustang's greenhouse isn't a fastback like the original and they left out the rear-quarter hump...two major elements that defined the '68. Either way, I'm happy that all three are coming out...and if I had the money I would buy all three!
  14. Agreed 'blu. I don't understand why some get so worked up of the styling...I'm just happy to see the Pony Car Trio back in business!
  15. Weirdos.
  16. So the next Ram will have a gun rack I take it? Might as well make a "Confederacy" package with gun rack, KC HiLites, stars and bars vinyl decals, and a pair of truck nuts.
  17. Good Camino, I say go for it. I have a credit card but haven't used it yet and don't really have the desire to. I know so many people with deep credit card debt and yet they still keep charging to it like an addiction. I'm going to be in debt enough paying off college, I don't need a credit card adding to that. And I'm able to save my money, unlike my sister. I'm actually worried for her financial future because she just blows all of her money as soon as she gets the paycheck. She used to have a decent amount in savings in high school and then at college spent 95% of it clothes, shoes, and other crap she doesn't need. Now she's being forced to work 2 jobs so that she'll have enough money saved up to be able to pay her apartment rent this fall, but I can't help but think she is going to have it hard once she gets out of college and finds out she has no financial buffer because she spent it all.
  18. Right as election season is beginning, how quaint.
  19. Check out their older catalog (pre-Adore). I haven't heard the songs you are talking about yet, but SP's older stuff is very good.
  20. Happy birthday!
  21. It's not that small...it looks about the same size as the "Cinquecentos" (500s) they have on the streets now. The 500s from the 60s...now those are small! I don't think I would fit in one.
  22. I saw it too...my roomates hated it though (one is from Mexico and one is from Egypt, so I guess they just didn't get in on the whole Transformers thing as a kid). It was awesome I thought! The Camaros kicked some serious butt, lots of rubber and smoke for burnout junkies like me. GM had some prime placements in the movie...especially the Camaros, GMC, Hummer, and the Solstice. There was also a Saleen Mustang used as an antagonist cop car. Lots of action and things getting destroyed and thrown around. The CG was spectacular...especially the scenes where you fly around LA between the skyscrapers.
  23. Happy birthday to all!
  24. Happy 4th! Today is also my sister's birthday.
  25. If I owned that, it would be reaallly reaallly hard not to drive it....but I would almost feel obligated NOT to.
