Zoom?
I've known about the Wankel's whacky way of burning oil between changes, but I don't know to what extent it does ... define "copious" in this instance. Other than that, I don't see much to hate about one of these. Peppy 1.3L engine, better practicality, maybe a touch better on fuel than what I'm used to, six-speed row your own, attractively styled, great handling, forgiving when you want to have some fun, rear-wheel drive, limited slip diff, plenty of standard equipment ... now that these are sub-10k, I'm really paying more attention to them.

missing somebody
I have one foot in Mr. Nimoy's camp and the other foot in the bitter and slightly immature "give me just one chance to make you feel like $h! about it" camp.

What's That I See?
Okay, it's a safe bet that Rod Hatfield Chevy in Lexington, KY paid to rip off the melody of some popular rap song for their annoying jingle ... but I wonder if they paid Mr. Loizou of GM Inside News to use his nifty old 'chop of a future Malibu in their local ad spot here? I didn't record this video, so don't blame me for the shoddy camera work. Anyway, pause the video at the 1 to 2 second mark. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VA8DNt4kKWg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Yep. It's this: What's even more hilarious besides the fact that there could be a potential, small shiitstorm brew up over this is that no one cared to realize that this isn't an actual GM product.

Fisker Karma first drive reviews
This thread makes my ass hurt, so out of spite, I'm going to ruin everything for all of you and tell you those HVAC vents are from a GMC Envoy. You're welcome. I think the Fisker is a great car, simply put. Every line and detail of it oozes soul and considering this is the very first effort from a very young firm, I can forgive any of its shortcomings and hope the car makes this new AMERICAN car company successful.

GM launches Mylink System to compete with Ford's Sync and Toyota's Entune
When I take a drive through my local Amish country and hear "Bitches Ain't Shit" booming from a horse-and-buggy, that's when I know I'm going to have the best. Day. Of. My. Life. EVAR.

Quit stealing the words out of my mouth, thanks. You forgot to mention the Genesis Coupe looks great (on paper).

Acura Shrinks the Beak On TL
Even GM didn't use that many plastic filler panels on the front of a '76 Nova. This gives me a '90s Grand Am sort of vibe. Freaky.

2011 Buick Regal Turbo Manual reviews
I'd like to bet that a.) weather conditions affected the outcome of the review and b.) this was a pre-production car that needed a bug or two plucked out of it.

ICE!
It was 56 degrees yesterday and it was a fricking monsoon all day long; 45 mph winds and pouring rain that continued up until early in the morning before the temperature dropped to today's high of 40 or 30-something degrees and changed to very heavy snow showers that didn't amount to any accumulation at all. I remember that I was driving home at 2 am last night and the rain would pour for five miles, let up two miles down the road, and then continue pouring buckets for the next five. The wind never let up, though. Just wild. This bodes well for Spring ... I hate February. I hate Al Gore. You posted this quote from Al Gore from the first day February on the second day of February. Wow. My month is now officially miserable, thanks.

Winter Blues
About three to four inches hit us this morning around seven. Before that it was just piss-pouring rain. When it finally started snowing, it was almost as if someone hit a switch. Not much of a sleet/freezing rain mix to speak of. So they essentially changed it back to what it was in the first place. Now I'm not a climatologist or anything buttttttt .... Just sayin', ya know?

Neither one. I'm not bald nor worrisome and I'm proud to be the complete polar opposite of the both of them.

SPORTY
It appears that the cab and dash is shared with the NA full-sized trucks of the period, however it has an eerie '80s F-150-ish undertone about it.

Winter Blues
Snow. Not enough to make winter worthy and just enough to cause headaches. That and it's cold. I think the windchill factor constantly stays around levels of THO and shrink-wrapped nuts. February's coming too ... I hate that month. Frigging terrible time of the year; it's bitterly cold, gray 70 percent of the time, and then there's Valentine's Day just to top it all off. Fuck winter. Now ask me how I really feel.

B-J auction item
Regarding the Firehawk, I'm not surprised. There's a dealer somewhere in Tennessee I think that has a '94 Trans Am with 1,200 miles with an asking price of $27k.

NAIAS 2011 - All New Volkswagen Passat - Our Thoughts
Blake Noble replied to Cory Wolfe's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Let me make a few guesses as to what makes this new Passat so much cheaper. So long gas-charged hood struts, hello prop-rod. Same goes for the trunk. Meet gooseneck hinges. The dashboard probably follows the same persuasion as the Saturn Aura: the grain is uniform and nice and the upper dash is plush enough for dry-humping, but the lower dash feels like Tupperware. Halogen bulbs in all exterior lighting. Powertrains are one-generation old. Read-outs are housed in a black hole. So-long ornate detailing. Cloth is probably of a Jo-Ann caliber and the leather is little better than spandex. The stitching and patterns are taken from a few of Mr. Rodgers' sweaters. Pretty much, right?
