  1. The new Malibu better be nice. The new Camry might be impressive, but how much will it cost to get the V-6 version, cause the L-4 is weak. GM's 2.4L has better numbers.
  2. I suppose that all the new cars are finally picking up a bit. Lucerne, DTS, Impala, HHR. If only GM could keep 25% market share.
  3. Wagoner has to go, he's never been a car guy anyway. Lutz should be named. I'm sure the day right after, we would see a real GM emerge.
  4. Pontiac/Buick/GMC are one brand now. Why not merge Saab and Saturn dealers like in Canada?
  5. I thought the Camaro would be on a stretched Kappa.
  6. Can someone tell me what will replace the Impala/GP/Lacrosse if the plant close? And where they will be built?
  7. I finally bought a Cobalt in october (traded in the Cavalier) Or I should say lease.
  8. Is it another bean counter decision that will cost more sales?
  9. No fuel economy improvement. What a shame. It will be tough against the Yaris and Fit. <_< Everytime GM releases a new car, there is something I really don't like about it.
  10. That's the problem, GM 's wonderful cost cut made them save 200$ with the interior material, now they have to give 1000$ rebates to compensate.
  11. You're right, just spend a couple hundreds more for better interior material and you will sell the car for more easily. GM does not get it. I'm surprised they have not learned their lessons.
  12. Being third for the month behind Toyota and Ford in retail sales, GM has to do something. Rebates, here we go again. Value pricing does not work.
  13. I'm afraid GM is overproducing.
  14. I really think you shop drop the GM card and give the rebates to every buyer. The pricing would be more attractive. And stop all the loyalty rebates, not very interesting for a potential new buyer with a non GM car.
  15. I just read a review about the G6. I came to the conclusion that GM still do not understand how to make a very good car. They lifted the car and realized that there was no antirust treatment underneath the car. What a shame, talk about a costcut. The interior is a big letdown. Just compare it side by side to a Honda Accord interior and you'll see that the G6 screams cheap. My guess is that Lutz is having a hard time to change people's mind about putting more money into the car, so it will look more quality. So people will pay more for the car, need less rebate, have a better resale value and improve the sales number and market share for the brand. I think we all know that. But GM don't, How many lost market share it's gonna take to see a real GM turnaround.
  16. This is bad, GM is third in retail sales in october behind Toyota and Ford. DCX and Honda are really close.
  17. Sad, but I have not seen an interior that I'm really proud of. <_< That is why GM is losing so many sales right now. Too many bean counters in the house.
  18. So far in october, sales are down 57%.
  19. I'd say solstice, the car is simply too nice.
  20. Time for a clean-up. Unions must be under stress!
  21. Yes, I know. They want to boost the Cobalt sales.
  22. Hey, Kerkorian just bought more GM shares, he is now at 9.9 percent. :o :o At this price, it's a deal. Do you smell the coffee?
  23. I think it will be sold. Saab is losing money, so it is not a tough decision.
  24. Maybe some sales rep can tell about october sales so far. What is frustrating is that Japanese will post double digit increase for the month.
  25. I think it's nice. Not groundbreaking, but that's how Lutz likes cars. It's a non-aggressive look, unlike DCX and Nissan SUVs.
