  1. Typical GM quality. Come on Bob, show us that u can make a world class interior. Why don't you teach your workers to be more careful with parts adjustments.
  2. I'm not surprised, they practically gave away their cars this summer. They do not have the products to compete.
  3. It would have been great to get a 4/50 BTB warranty. Too bad. I'm not sure it will increase sales.

That's funny. To be serious, since the departure of Lutz, designs have been suffering at Chrysler. I don't think this car is nice.
  5. A 5 years/60K bumper to bumper warranty would be great.
  6. Nothing is said about fleet vs retail. I suspect a lot of those sales are fleet.
  7. At least the Lucerne outsold the Avalon with 10K units.
  8. No, it's really sad but not surprising. Honda is the king of retail.
  9. Based on what I read on the net, the Camry is a big disappointment to many new owners. Transmissions issues, rattles, poor fit and finish... and the list goes on.
  10. The only thing I would change is the engine. Why not using a small Ecotec 1.6 or 1.8?

    camry craze

Nowadays, Toshiba and Hitachi are pretty much dead.
  12. Wow! GM is getting it. Can't wait to see the car in person.
  13. 3.6L+6speed with the more complex hybrid option is definitely a great combo. It should be offered in the new Lambdas, Malibu, Aura...
  14. Hey '68, I've always liked GM's pushrod V-8. My problem is with the V6, there is no way GM can have a solid contender in the FWD midsized market with a pushrod 3.5 or 3.9L engine. Not going to work. As for the interiors, Honda uses high quality materials. Their designs are sometimes ugly, but never look or feel cheap.
  15. 08 Cobalt receives just a minor facelift!! What, no interior upgrade, no VVT for the 2.2L. Damn GM, is it another Cavalier?
  16. At the same time, we can not say that GM cars are attractive. Why GM, in 2006, can't build a car like the Accord? There is still some cheap interiors or pushrod engines....always something wrong. The president was a bit right, if you build the best products, you won't have problems selling them. Too many businessmen run GM, not enough car passionates.

    Bonus Dollars

Is august so bad? GM has too many half-baked products. Cars like the Cobalt should have been better.
  18. The Optra is more a 30 MPG car. I mean US gallon. Very far from the Vibe/Matrix.
  19. You'll be getting a brand new and awesome Malibu in second quarter+ a mild hybrid version.
  20. Jeep should be a low volume division.

    terraza,

You're right. I'm in Quebec city and I can say is that what you are saying about the Canadian market and GM is true. A family needs a really good income to be able to afford a 35K $ Odyssey vs a 18K $ Uplander. Here I haven't seen many new Civic, but Toyota is bleeding the market right now. GM is heading toward 25% market share vs 29% two years ago.
  22. The new Malibu is great. When will it be on sale? june 07?
  23. Unless it looks good in person, but what were they thinking?
  24. Gas price was not an issue 5 years ago. I have to admit that if you can get over the strange styling of the Yaris, it's damn good on the fuel. Heard it GM? Aveo?We never know, it might be my next car, after being a long time GM fan.
