  1. Is that manifold gasket a big cost if it needs to be replaced? It would probably last longer than the Cavalier even if it is older.
  2. How reliable is an Oldsmobile 88 Royale from 1994? I believe it has the 3.8L. The car has 170,000kms and it is in excellent condition. There is not much rust or any rust at all. My grandparents' friend from church is selling it for about $2000 or so. Yes they are over 60 lol.
  3. This is a definite home run for Chevy and it is centuries ahead of the Malibu out now.
  4. I tried it under my dad's name and it was still $4500. The Cavalier is a better bet for me to be driving.
  5. I think something might be wrong under Allstates system. It said my dad would only have to pay $2500 a year to insure his Expedition.
  6. I just did a Cavalier to see how much it would be under my dad's name and it said $950 a year lol.
  7. Well I just turned 16 so insurance rates will be higher because of me being a new driver, plus a large car with a supercharger. I got a quote from Allstate and it said $9000.
  8. I am not going to get the Aries. Unless I decide to enter a demolition derby lol. I may just go for that 1996 Cavalier I saw a couple of weeks ago. It was a good car.
  9. I loved that car so much but insurance would kill me in the long run.
  10. It is official now. I am not getting the Bonneville. The insurance for me was over $5 grand a year so that is way too much. A Cavalier like the one I was looking at is about 4 times cheaper.
  11. I can take out my parents' vehicles when I get my learner's which will probably be next weekend when I dont work. About burning rubber, only in my mom's Tahoe, my dads is 4wd but if I put it in 2wd and he needs new tires any time now so maybe a burnout in an Expy will be a first lol.
  12. Cool. If you have had any problems MRMonte with it please mention them. My friend told me the Supercharged models had electrical problems.
  13. Thanks!!!! I am 16 and I can go for my beginner's at any time. Unfortunately I dont think that lets me test drive cars myself at the moment. I am hoping for the Bonneville to be sitting in my garage on Christmas lol.
  14. This all depends on insurance now or the fact if they have sold it but they told me they would keep it til Saturday.
  15. Some cars may be lower because of the age here. Can you tell me some companies for insurance would have low rates for something like that so I can see if those companies are up here in Canada.
  16. Sadly that robot can skate better than me lol.
  17. My teacher just bought an RDX. She likes it but her MDX is better on gas than it is.
  18. I will get some pictures tomorrow if it is still bright out when I go.
  19. I am going to try my hardest to get it. With insurance as it is I am not too sure on my chances of getting it but I absolutely loved it. THe car is so ahead of its time with the technology.
  20. Happy birthday! Mine is tomorrow lol.
  21. I need to figure out something before Saturday or this deal isn't going to happen and the car will go to a wholesaler. It was actually traded with a wholesaler today but I am friends with one of the salesperson's son so she turned down the wholesaler to give me a chance.
  22. Honestly I don't see the beauty in these cars. Earliest ones were prbably the 36 Cord and the 48 Tucker. The 50s to present I can respect much more.
  23. I know it is really cheap. Even if I wanted to make money I could buy it at this price and sell it for half as much. My dad doesn't know how much of a deal it is.
  24. Would this be a good reliable car then. The insurance look up if it has a supercharger anyways. My dad might put it under his name to save me money. I really trust the 3800 V6 and this car is just too good for $900 in my eyes.
  25. I saw this trade-in sitting behind my local Chevrolet dealer and I decided to check it out. It is fully loaded, with the supercharger, auto transmission with normal or perform shift and it is As Is. It doesn't look to have any rust on the body and the paint is in good condition except for some normal chipping. The seats aren't ripped as they are leather and tend to in older GMs. They are selling it for $900 and it has only 209,000kms which is about 127,000 miles. What do you think? Should I go for it? My dad really likes it as well but we need to make sure how it would be on insurance. It will be more expensive because of the supercharger. It is black on beige, has CD and heads-up display, etc.
