  1. I know exactly what you are talking about. I get constantly reminded of everything and it has been especially worse this year with my parents' divorce, my 2 relatives that lost their life to Leukemia this year and an uncle that is third, now in the hospital for Leukemia. Honestly, I always reflect on who has influenced me and I definitely look back on things I regret. Right now, things are tough but I have never really lost it. I have a couple times but that is because I box up all my emotions. When I lose control of my emotions, I go car shopping or at least look at cars to take my mind off of things. My love for cars is probably why I am still alive and me knowing that I have a goal I want to make. I have had it since I was 6 or 7 and I have never shyed away from it. Unfortunately, life has come at me hard lately. It has been affecting my drawing too. All the leukemia cases came within weeks of each other and that took a lot away. My grandma also lost 2 brothers in 2 months early this year which has definitely taken its toll.
  2. I wish I could get rid of all my headaches. Unfortunately my parents won't let me sell my sister. Anyways, I usually just sleep it off and drink some water or Ginger Ale or 7 Up. Some orange juice or something usually helps but I don't know if it Vitamin C that will do that.
  3. I see why NOS has a point. This could be an advantage in a way for finding people involved in kidnappings but I would be against it. It probably would be an invasion of privacy in some ways. They could also find any more missing babies involved in Intrepid sales!!!! Thanks Canada probably wouldn't do this. The Governor General is too busy remodeling her kitchen and taking 50 or so friends on world trips to even consider this.
  4. The thing is, I asked them if they were clipped by another vehicle and they denied it. They said it just fell off while they were driving or while the car was parked. Weak adhesive maybe?
  5. That Olds is in great condition. Hey, Norwalk, Ohio, I have been there for the drag strip. It was the Ford Nationals. Anyways I am going to do a drawing of this too. I am also off to a local wrecking yard this Thursday. I'll let you know if I find anything.
  6. Did the Astro and Safari vans have a lot of issues with build quality. I was at work at Canadian Tire and in 4 hours, 3 people called to ask if we carried a replacement mirror for an Astro. First one I thought was a coincidence, then the second one was on the phone and it started to get me wondering. I had about 2 cases of that last Tuesday I worked. I asked everybody if they had already been in or sent somebody in looking for that but they said no. This is kind of odd because that was just 5 cases in 2 weeks or technically 2 work days. But we didn't carry them so I told everybody to go to the dealer for the new mirror. Has anyone else heard of this happening? The driver's side mirror falling off or glass falling out?
  7. Good job Zulehan!! I have always loved those cars too unfortunately I can't find one that would be in good enough condition for me. I was actually going to do a redo of the Beretta so I guess we are almost on the same boat of being original. I would buy that. Keep up the good work.
  8. Our Tahoe has it but luckily we hadn't renewed the service. It did come on one time when we accidentally hit a button and the thing was so annoying. It took us about 12 minutes to get the Onstar voice to shut up and we were all yelling at it and it would always say, Pardon me. That was before our free service had ended. As to whether it can track that, don't all new cars have black boxes that track this information for a crash anyways? I know the 2004 Ford Taurus has one.
  9. Ok. I have seen many Dakotas with the 360 anyways so there may even be a tutorial. It is a 5.9L so that could work. I just need to convince my teacher somehow. Our Mustang is a year or so from being finished but he should think about ideas and maybe get new parts or track down the parts.
  10. I was doubting the HEMI but I really am looking to telling him about a 383 or 360. It depends on what one could be found. The budget for these isn't too much. Our Mustang project and Chevelle projects were quite a bit and they required a lot of bodywork. This one may need some but is overall in better condition. It is mostly paint needed. The interior could be done cheaply with not much work. Most of the budget would go to powertrain. My teacher rebuilt a 351 Windsor with new performance parts from Ford Racing. It puts out about 350+ hp now and it originally came from a Grand Marquis. I have seen a 360 done before but I think a 383 would be more interesting.
  11. The wagon idea is kind of cool but the lambo doors and huge rims are over the top.
  12. I was thinking 318 but that is the same motor as the Shelby so now I am going towards a 360 or maybe something bigger like a 383. If I had the money, I would buy it and do this but I would try to fit a 6.1L HEMI which there is one on EBAY, but unfortunately it is $5200 US and the truck itself is about $400 but they would go less. As for my teacher, he would try to find something from the junkyard.
  13. Not really the Shelby Dakota. A little more interesting than them. A 318 would be really easy to find and a newer 5.9 V8 would be nice as well. Other than that, I was thinking of a 5.7L Hemi crate.
  14. What Mopar crate would you recommend as well as tranny?
  15. I was wondering what would be an interesting small-block or big-block to drop into an 89 Dodge Dakota? It is that old Dakota Sport I found a while a go. It needs work but I am trying to give my teacher ideas for a custom Dakota. For our next school project, he wants to rice up a Civic so I need something that could turn him away from that. What motors would fit? I was thinking something bigger than a 350. A 454 would be interesting but would it fit? One could be easily pulled from an older pickup around here. Just give me suggestions as to what may fit or what would work nicely. GM motors as well as Mopar suggestions would both work. My idea is to lower it, rear disc brake conversion, new engine, more sporty interior which refers to getting rid of the bench seat, creating a console if possible, and recolouring the interior which I believe Vinyl can be painted. Overall, drivetrain would probably be the biggest part of this project, new engine and tranny conversion to a manual. I was also thinking a Viper blue with the white racing stripes and SRT Magnum or Charger rims. This project would be pretty costly but involves lest bodywork than our Mustang needed. What do you think?
  16. I have seen a couple of Acadias and Sierras on the road now. My neighbour also picked up a Trailblazer SS in black. It looks sweet.
  17. Those twin cam Swifts are popular with the tuners around here and most don't rice them up a lot. They just end up like that one above with just new rims and possibly a lowered suspension.
  18. I used to get Motor Trend but I just buy it now. It is a really good magazine I find.
  19. I saw a 2003 Dodge Caravan pulling a Ford Ranger using nothing other than 2 narrow tie down straps. I saw them when they were being pulled over. Once the van stopped, the truck didn't and it hit the Caravan.
  20. Ok thanks. I am guessing the 3.5L wont be Flexfuel? Also Northstar, Laser Blue was a very popular colour up here too. I see it everywhere.
  21. I have yet to go back to see it but maybe sometime this weekend or next week since it is the March break. I also don't know if it is owned by somebody but I will find out soon enough.
  22. I have been in a Lumina. Does that count??
  23. I love those new G5 wheels. What is the base engine in these. Is it still the 3.5L or is the 3.9 the base engine now? If not, then what model has the 3.9L Flex Fuel. My grandparents would like FlexFuel but they want a lower end Impala like the LS or LT.
  24. I will get pictures as soon as I head out that way. It is about 20 minutes but our Ford dealer screwed over my dad and now he needs to get a new interior door handle for our Expedition. The dealer tried to blame it on us but it wasn't like that before we brought it in to get the Door Ajar fixed. Now it will be $300 or so. Also, I have yet to get a first car. My college plans have changed so now I need a vehicle that will do the 120 km commute daily (that is there and back). I may buy a lower mileage J-body when they get cheaper. I may also wait until the end of the year to buy my grandparents' Lumina. It is a 99 Lumina LS with the 3.1 and it has 135,000 kms. They haven't had any problems and they have always serviced it. They just feel like getting a newer car because it will be 8 years old. They are either going to buy an 07 or 08 Impala or the NG Malibu.
