My Drug Delivery Car!
american_revolution_2005 replied to capriceman's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Go and buy rims then lol or leave the steelies showing. I get the idea of having those wheel covers but they do not suit the car. My grandma's Sundance had nicer hubcaps then those lol. -
My Drug Delivery Car!

Nice car. Beautiful colour. Dump the cheesy rims though. I would suggest these Caprice hubcaps. I have always liked them for some reason. They are from a 94 I believe and are 15". -
My Grandma Goes To The Dark Side

That's nice. I am not a big fan of imports but I do like Hyundais. I appreciate them for the effort they went to to become what they are instead of what they were in the 90s. Hyundai deserves more appreciation than it gets. The cars are excellent quality and extremely reliable. I really like the new Santa Fe and Veracruz. -
At this time I am glad the Monte Carlo is going to be dead. The car wasn't all that great and it was bound to be beaten by the Camaro anyways. As for Nascar, they should go back to their original roots. I liked the watching the old races with the aerodynamics race with the Superbirds and Daytonas. The 80s was good as well but ever since Dale Sr. passed it hasn't been the same. He was what I looked forward to in a race. He was the Intimidator and there was a reason for that. Now most racers are a bunch of pussies with the exception of a few. What's next, NASCAR being sponsored by Meow Mix? These Cars of Tomorrow are ugly as well. NASCAR is just going to be ignored by me now. Rallies are better.

The Silverado I sat in was nice and was excellent quality just like the GMT-900 SUVS. Acuras may seem better quality but that is because they are. They are also more expensive and in a different class so that would be liek comparing this to an Escalade or Mercedes or something. They are good quality because they are meant to be. Chevrolet isn't luxury, quality is good but it isn't the best and it shouldn't be. That would raise the price quite a bit.

I would love to go on road trips unfortunately the time isn't there and Murphy's Law prevents us. We can't go anywhere without something happening. Going to go to Ohio and we were in St.Catharines going to go over the Welland Canal and someone decides to sit on the ledge so they shut the whole QEW and bridge down. There were about 200 cars forced onto a one lane service road.

Spied: 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe [updated 11/21]
american_revolution_2005 replied to Variance's topic in Nissan
This car is just plain beautiful. I hate Japanese cars except for Nissan and newer Mazdas. I was always a fan for the G35C but this flows better to my liking. The G6 coupe is going to have a good run against this. I think this will prevail in the end compared to the G6 coupe. I am not that big of a fan of it but the Nissan is unbelieveable. I never even heard any rumours about an Altima Coupe. Nissan can keep things quiet. -
Sketch Competition #10 - GM Supercar
american_revolution_2005 replied to Flybrian's topic in Sketch Competitions
Here is the Mako Shark's rear-view. I will post the interior up later out of the comp. The front view and rear view are only what is necessary for now. Here it is. Just add it with the front view. -
used Jeep Liberty? Equinox/Torrent Pacifica (earlier models cheap) Xterra XTrail (oh ya you guys dont get that lol)

It was kind of an accident and kind of out of stupidity. The video showed him leaning over to look at my art closely and he must have forgot he had the Pepsi so the Pepsi leaned with him and spilled. He tried to clean it up quickly then he ran back into his office and never came back. He only admitted to it once we had watched the videos. I do not like him and I think he should've at least told me. I still would've been mad but just leaving it and not telling anyone is worse.
-
Here are the pics of the Silverado. Sorry for the quality. My camera screwed up or something plus it wasn't a nice day. This was when someone else was pulling away in it. I didnt get pics of the interior because it looks similar to the Tahoe and I should've brought my camera on the test drive but I would've left it in there. I have done that many times lol.

Paolino, that's not totally true. I know quite a few respectful people and my friends are generally respectful to people unless that person pisses them off. But then again we're Canadians lol. However, some of the youth are extremely disrespectful. Especially when we have our art displays. No respect for most artwork. Mine had pop spilled all over it but it turned out it wasn't a kid. We watched the surveillance videos and it turned out it was my principal. I have gained respect by my knowledge of cars and how I can draw them. Most respect that because they can't do it or they may like cars. Some are still disrespectful but they are the ones who don't really know me.

Chevrolet!!!! BUILD THIS IN BLACK!!!!
american_revolution_2005 replied to american_revolution_2005's topic in The Lounge
I actually don't mind the bodywork. I think it works for the vehicle and I am not a big fan of body kits, etc. but I could live with this. -
I beg of Chevrolet to be daring and build the SIlverado 427 Concept in balck. I beg of Chevrolet to do this. It would be like the 454 Silverado agian. This would be a great SS replacement. The 427 would bring in buyers as well.
-
True Yellow Dart. Captainbooyah I see you have the OCC SIlveraod in your sig. i need to put the 427 Silveraod in mine sometime. I want to keep the Mako Shark a while longer.
-
I got that drawing from GM wieck site. Search Silverado. It is one of 3 Silverado SEMA drawings. This one is the 427 Silverado, there is an OCC Silveraod drawing and a Dal JR. edition Silverado drawing. All are sweet and concepts...for now.

Well I didn't test drive it but my dad did. Our dealer had a Grand Re-Opening becasue it was renovated and they had a 2007 Silverado LTZ on loan from GM Canada. I was surprised they let some drive it. It set a very good impression. Everything was good about it except for the dash. It was a fully loaded LTZ with Nav and DVD. I am not a fan of the dash. i like the work truck set up much better. This had the 5.3L and when we fired up I couldn't believe it. I thought it had the Vortec Max in it because it sounded so powerful. It was loud and aggressive. I was surprised when we opened the hood. It was the 5.3L so I assumed the exhaust was just changed or something. It sounded different than the Tahoe for some reason. It was louder. The Silverado drove like a dream. You would never think you were driving a truck. The seats were plushy and the handling was extremely responsive and it didn't roll a lot on turns. We have winding valley roads in our area so we took it out on there. It handing nicely and extremely responsive. The bed wasn't shaky or anything. The cab is extremely quiet with little wind noise but some. The engine was excellent. It accelerated quickly and sounded nice. You could hear the engine was a V8. It wasn't a quiet engine but rather to my liking. I like the sound of V8s and it sounds so prominent and intimidating. We compared to our 04 Tahoe and it was much nicer. I like the sound of our Tahoe but we have a Magnaflow exhaust system on it so it is aftermarket. The Silverado however is much more responsive. Braking is also fast and responsive. This truck beats the crap out of any other in the segment. I am impressed and give it a 4 out of 5. The work truck dash looks nicer in my poinion but this truck is much more plushier than any other. It rides smoothly as well. I will post pics later but if you are in the GTA region and can get up to Orangeville in about half an hour then you could drive it yourself. It is located just off of HWY.10 North of Orangeville about 2 minutes north. Orangeville is located at the junction of Hwy.9 and 10. The dealer is Royal Chevrolet Cadillac.

G-O-L-F ... the sport, not the car
american_revolution_2005 replied to trinacriabob's topic in The Lounge
All I can say is I play like Happy Gilmore lol. My grandpa also died while golfing. And no it wasn't from me golfing lol. Sadly it was before I was born and I never met him. No man on my dad's side makes it pass age 60 or 65 if you are lucky. It is in the genes and it has carried down to me as well probably. Well, that's just great. Our family just isn't a golfing family. -
Thinking of abuying a new car in the future
american_revolution_2005 replied to Intrepidation's topic in The Lounge
LH cars are excellent. We had a 99 Concorde LXi, bought it used 3 years old with 45000kms on it and we did not have any troubles except for a parking brake which was part of a recall anyways. The only problem I saw was that it wouldn't shift into park sometimes but that was easily fixed, and the trim around the headlights was falling out but it was fixed easily with no concerns. We got rid of our Concorde a year and a half ago with 108,000 kms and had no problems. We jsut got rid of it because we needed another SUV for the winters up here. That is where we ended up with our Tahoe. -
I went to look at cars today and I checked out the S10. Turns out it has a 350 V8, Edelbrock parts, 1997 Sonoma rims, updated gauges and it is a 93. It is $2800 and has fair bit of rust. it look to bit going to start rusting around the rear wheel well as I have seen that on many older S10s. The $2800 is pretty much paying for the engine and tranny and rims. The car needs new paint and is a little bit rusty on the rockers and frame. WOuld this be a good deal or would I negotiate lower. It needs paint pretty badly as it is actually purple. I like that it has the 350 though because I really wanted to put one in an S10. What do think and can the rust be fixed? I really like it but my dad wants me to get a car with no rust. I told him that all cars have rust but he cant get it through his head. The frames always rust. If I got this I would probably repaint it black, fix the rust, find some IROC-Z rims or Rally rims like from the older Corvettes, etc, keep the Sonoma rims for winter since they are pretty beat up, and I would tint the rear lights. I would also have to check out brakes, etc. I dont know exact kms but the 350 is maybe 2 or 3 years old so it shouldn't have too much on the engine. The truck looked to be a base model at first. It has the grille surround being all plastic. I would probably want to try to paint that the same as the truck. What do you think?

Happy Birthday YJ!!!!!
american_revolution_2005 replied to american_revolution_2005's topic in The Lounge
That just makes me want to get an early 90s S10 even more Capriceman lol. The one I found is much nicer and all blacked out. -
When I see this I think of... ...well, I dont think anyhting is that ugly haha.
