  1. Ya its to bad GM doesn't own Alfa Romeo any more, your winner shows that the Brera would have made a great replacement for the Vibe.
  2. That maybe true but it sure reminds me of the Camaro everytime I see it.
  3. Anyways the good news is that the gods of common sense over at Car and Driver which had nominated the Camry for their 10 Best could NOT find enough to make it a winner. I another words for the Toyota cognocenti THE CAMRY FAILED!!!!!
  4. NA NA NAAA NA NA NA NA NAAA NA HEY HEY GOOD-BYE........AND KIRK MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN YOUR EVIL OLD A S.
  5. The above picture is a hoax by Winding Road Magazine, they display all how they did it in their current issue. It is a free internet magazine ran by David E. Davis (of Car and Driver and Automobile Magazine fame) its pretty good and its issues can be downloaded for free.
  6. I am glad to see that NCM is still going strong 15 years later and helping the passion stay alive, and as a Corvette fan my personal thanks to the Schrodt's for their very generous donation to the museum.
  7. Actually in many cases turbos are faster with automatics because you don't have to let off of the gas (loosing precious boost) to shift gears, I read this in the Road & Track Sky Redline review also, I seem to remember that the old Buick Grand National (and T-Type) benefited from this also.
  8. I had a 98 Malibu had lot of problems (esp. with the brakes), even though I love GM I feared the Malibu because of my past experience, this pic. of the new 2008 interior has gone along way to help me overcome that fear and I am now very eager to see this new car.
  9. You don't know crap about Earnhardt he did'nt do what any other drivers were doing at that time and still doing to this day, the only reason he his called "dirty" was he was constantly winning so the spotlight was on him most of the time, but if you look back you will see the same stuff from the other drivers except for guys like Bill Elliott (except when he throws a tantrum) and Mark Martin (no Daytona 500 victories, no championships) and even Martin has been known to "slip" just look at this years All Star Race at the Lowes Motor Speedway, and before you say I am just saying this because I am an Earnhardt fan (you would be correct) look at the 79 Daytona 500 the race that put NASCAR on the map the one with the fight at the end between Allison and Cale Y., Petty has done it, Waltrip has done it, Pearson has done it, Stewart yep, Jr. sure, Jeff Gordon knows for a fact he does it (though he won't admit it), they all have done it and of course in this day in age since Dale Sr. has died they all cry like babies when it is done to them when the microphone is shoved in their faces.
  10. Did'nt do to bad (I was hoping for a Vette no such luck though) but my selections were as follows: Primary: 2007 Cadillac CTS (would prefer a V series) Secondary choices: 2007 Buick Lucerne (must be black with the V8) 2006 Saab 9-3 SportCombi (A SAAB !!!???!!!) 2007 Grand Prix (no question here must be a GXP) 2007 Malibu Maxx SS (not sure about this one had a 98 LS was not happy with it there were alot of problems I am very gun shy with the FWD Malibu's) 2007 GMC Envoy Denali (I could see this I currently own a 06 Chevy Trailblazer LS {it replaced a 02 Trailblazer} and I am very happy with it)
  11. As he stated the fire sale was over, GM had a terrible Sept (2005) and Sept 06 showed no improvement, well that's bad news. September 2005/2004 http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayServlet...n=6&docid=19171 Tahoe September 2004 - 20,905 September 2005 - 9,151 September 2006 - 10,146 C/K Suburban(Chevy) September 2004 - 12,987 September 2005 - 5,640 September 2006 - 5,837 Avalanche September 2004 - 8,147 September 2005 - 4,131 September 2006 - 6,206 Yukon September 2004 - 9,510 September 2005 - 5,094 September 2006 - 5,451 Yukon XL September 2004 - 7,338 September 2005 - 3,689 September 2006 - 4,145 Escalade September 2004 - 3,169 September 2005 - 2,449 September 2006 - 2,985 Escalade ESV September 2004 - 1,521 September 2005 - 920 September 2006 - 1,892 Escalade EXT September 2004 - 734 September 2005 - 495 September 2006 - 851 outside the Escalade (competing w/the old Navigator) the GMT-900's aren't all that hot. And I distinctly remember that jackass Lutz saying we are selling every GMT900 we can build, obviously we aren't. Fargo is right on the money, the managment at GM which worked in the old days is completely wrong in today's enviroment. It's time Lutz and GM's managment are held responsible for GM's failings, and I mean they need to be fired. 201419[/snapback] It looks like the numbers are all up from the previous year even with the outrageous gas prices that we have had to pay and the only reason why 04 was better than 05 and 06 was because gas prices were lower and there was more demand for SUV's so don't make this look like this is GM's failure because these are market factors that affected EVERYBODY!!!!! and you will see similar decreases with all other SUV manufacturers, remember the 2004 and 2005 model years were essentially the same vehicle where 2006 was the transition from the GMT800 to GMT900, with all this in consideration GM is doing very well.
  12. Ya and use this as an excuse to cry for more tax breaks.
  13. A sterial car for a sterial person?
  14. I think this just means GM is doing somthing that it should have done a very long time ago and that is get rid of one of the (many) worst memories of the Roger Smith era and that is the W (GM-10) platform which has caused GM so much problems and cost them so much money, they are just now taking that platform to a level to were it should have been 20 years ago when it first came out. All I can say is good by and good riddance, the sooner GM can correct the damage that was done during the Roger Smith era (and before) and move to new products like the Zeta, Epslon II, etc. the better off it will be.
  15. Kill em, Kill em all, the Ba ard's.
  16. Chevy is trying. I will give them that, but they have alot of work to do just to be competitive with other makes on the same level, I feel that the real revolution will happen at Saturn in the next year or two as the Sky, Aura, and the new Ion start to roll into the showrooms.
  17. Definatley a Saturn, the grill gives it away, the only company that I have seen that has any brightwork even remotely similar is the new Honda Civic Sedan, I would guess it is the new ION.
  18. Thank You your assistance on this matter has been greatly appreciated.
  19. Oh and I probably spend more time doing research than any two of your insiders here, that is the disadvantage of not being an insider I have to dig for my information.
  20. This is the whole point I have been trying to make 91z, so instead of patting yourself on your back about your precious insiders, like you said PM Josh or whoever you said it was, get them some i.d. so this problem can be avoided in the future, that would most certainly shut my mouth.
  21. I don't mind being corrected but when I am I EXPECT AN EXPLINATION, someone who is an supposed insider who just says "no your wrong" or "I am stopping your spread of misinformation" without an explination is just stepping out of bounds, when I made my posts I did not know evok from Adam and there is nothing saying that he is an admistrator or an insider or someone who has special privildges and rights, it just looks like he is just another joe off of the street, so then I have to ask what is the proof, what is evok's credibility, because if this is how this forum is going to be ran I am pretty sure other people will get sick of this b.s. and run this forum right into the ground.
  22. This is supposed to be a nice guy come on this is b.s., this is some posuer who is taking advantage of his postion on this site, this is one hell of a way of discoraging people from joining this site.
  23. If they are insiders what are they doing leaking obviously secret information, I myself I am a enthusiast who happens to work for a supplier. Most of my information though, comes from the internet, car magazines, etc., granted I am the new guy here but when someone so rudely says that I am wrong with no explination, then I find out that they are some sort of insider, I am forced to question the accuracy of the information they are giving out, and that this is an attempt to spread some disinformation.
