  1. Buick and Saturn could really make a killing if they take advantage the Camcord mishaps lately. Come On GM! Wake up! Mr. Opportunity is knocking on your door. Aura v. Accord Regal v. Camry
  2. Buick must get rid of the LaCrosse name, I've hated it since the cioncept car. Regal is sooo much better and it goes better with the Enclave in the kind of impression it gives you. This Buick must be a Camcord beater.
  3. Clearly Chevy intends the Impala to remain their top seller. Although the Malibu will catch another 100k due to the styling drive/equipment upgrades. Here's my prediction, Malibu LS $18k Malibu LT $19k Malibu LT V-6 $21k Malibu Hybrid $22k(Hybrid equipped to replace needed LTZ I-4) Malibu LTZ V-6 $24k Oh by the way if you were shocked that this car is not intended to defeat the Camry. Well, not to brag but, I knew that months ago. GM's Camcord is coming from the brand without an Epsilon, drumroll please......... Buick!
  4. Yes, Chevy is a mainstream brand but, so is Ford and I believe that if Chevy does sell Malibus at $28k that many will no longer see the point of Saturn, Pontiac, or Buick. You cannot have 3 niche brands in the price ranges covered by Chevy and Caddy. No, I argue that the Malibu will be no more than $24k. At $24k they can be equipped to compete with a Camry XLE V-6. Chevy can boost volume by being value priced compared to an equivalent Camry. Also, the next Impala will target the Chrysler 300 which starts around $24k. Ex. A Buick Camcord would be priced $20-28k, but remember the base car will be equipped to take on the Camry XLE I-4 and the top CXL V-6 will be targeted against the ES350. Again its all hypothetical until we get some concrete info.
  5. The new Malibu is designed to compete against the Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata, and Chrysler Sebring. Expect Pricing to be set betweeen $18-24k. Leave it to either Saturn or Buick to build GM's Camcord.
  6. I believe that this should be GM's last Toyota. The Delta 2 platform will be superior to the new Corolla.
  7. What purpose does Saab serve in North America?
  8. Well, I'm holding my breath to see this confirmed by a genuine source but, rumor has it that the Malibu will only target the Hyundai Sonata, Ford Fusion, and the Chrysler Sebring. Why? Buick and its P-B-GMC dealer network want a true Camry, Accord, and Altima fighter in the new 2009 Buick Regal. The Regal is likely to target specifically the Camry LE/LE V-6 and the Camry XLE/XLE V-6. Which is not bad at $20-28k. It goes far more upscale than any current Epsilon I know of yet. Where this leaves the Aura and G6? Who Knows? Meanwhile it's nice to see the Aura is getting more practical in its line-up.
  9. Well, I honestly believe that Buick is here to stay thanks to China. If there is a problem. I'd expect Pontiac to be shut down and Buick to gobble up GMC. Buick would then become the white-collar Chevrolet. I'm really looking forward to the new Regal. The ES350 is everything I need but, I refuse to buy a fancy Camry to get a V-6 FWD luxury sedan in a mid size package. Please Buick this car cannot come soon enough.
  10. And Saturn steps up to take Euro-centric costumers from VW dealers. Add 200k in sales to Saturn.

    Lexus LS600hL

Why didn't they just take the 306hp V-6 from the IS and add the hybrid system then they would be the Prius of big luxury cars. Wow, Toyota is literally repeating GM's mistakes one by one, lol. Who cares about a car company whom thrived while GM and Ford were sleeping for 40 years. Wow, It's like saying I'm the hardest working person in a room in which everybody is sound asleep. Big deal!
  12. The new Altima coupe sheds a tear.
  13. Cadillac hybrid should be full-priced. Luxury buyers will pay more for the Hybrid status symbol and the extra MPG.
  14. My 2000 Buick Regal LS has Dual Zone Climate Control, however, recently the system stopped working properly. When I have the A/C on in the regular mode only heat comes out. When the Dual mode is on, only the passenger side is cold, and again the driver's side comes out hot. Does anybody know what is going on with my car and ,if possible, how to fix it? I just got off my warantee so I'd prefer to know what's wrong before I pay somebody to fix if its beyond my ability to fix it. Well, any and all suggestons will be appreciated.
  15. Expect the Democrat Congress to unionize the autoworkers of all US plants regardless of whether or not they are domestic or foreign. This just means jobs will leave US soil to Canada and Mexico just like the domestics have done. Don't get too happy about that because, the proposed EPA fleet requirements will keep Detriot reeling for decades to come.
  16. When's the Buick version coming,its awesome!
  17. Sounds Fishy, I doubt its coming any earlier than Fall 2008 or Spring 2009. Besides its totally generic on the outside, we need a Buick not another Avalon
  18. Pray Pray for North Korea to Nuke Toyo city, of course with no human casualities. Without its base, it will be set back 10 years. LOL!
  19. I think that this a coming of age moment for GM Shanghai. Although Bentley-esque Buicks would be nice to see here in he States.
  20. E85 Ladies and Gents. Yes, E85. Lower CO2 output and no current standards for fuel economy. We just need a greater supply to meet the potential demand. Answer: Deregulate the agrictural industry. As crop prices drop corporate farmers will be forced to turn to ethanol production to make a profit. E85 will get so cheap that demand will e forced to increase. As E85 increases in popularity, its lower price will force oil to compete resulting in both cheaper E85 and cheaper G85(conventional grade gasoline). Ultimately, V-8 powered cars will become the hottest segment. I'm talking E85 or G85 at less than $0.50 per gallon excluding taxes. The fact is nobody is currently willing or thinking of doing this anytime soon. May be Guiliani. Only Eco-Capitalism will solve our enviromental problems. Eco-socialism has failed us and the working man again and again. Halogen bulbs have enough mercury in them to kill most dogs a nd children if eatened or breathed in. Plastic bags now cause more pollution than any other object that we depose of on a regular basis. Hybrids as they age will cause massive polltuion as their batteries decay and are disposed of. Even recycling prodced toxic air pollution. In fact more pollution than a conventional car produces in its lifetime. In other words, a 1982 Cavalier is better than a 2007 Prius for the enviroment. As for Zetas, they will be built, GM just willl need more economy cars to balance things out.
  21. The Beat and Groove are definitely production worthy. I like the Groove. It beats the xB or even the xA hands down. I think Chevy is finally serious about assaulting Toyota's dominance in the car market. Aveo v. Yaris. Aveo wins, despite outdated engine. Beat v. Scion xA. Beat wins. Groove v. Scion xB. Groove wins. 2010 Volt v. 2010 Prius. Volt wins. 2009 Cobalt v. 2009 Corolla. Cobalt wins. Cobalt SS v. Scion tC. Cobalt SS wins. 2008 Malibu v. 2008 Camry. Malibu wins on style, substance, value, loses on MPG with V-6(may be? unless the Camry's V-6 takes a big hit from the EPA) 2009/2010 Impala v. Avalon. Impala wins. 2009 Equinox v. 2009 Rav4, Equinox wins. 2009 Nomad v. 2009 Highlander. Nomad wins. 2009 Nomad v. 2009 Sienna. Nomad wins. 2010 Colorado v. 2010 Tacoma. Colorado wins. Silverado v. Tundra. Silverado wins. 2009 Express v. "nothing" Express wins. Chevy looks to be on a roll over the next 3-4 years. Can't wait for Pontiac & Buick to do the same.
  22. The Malibu will sell well because, it will suck up Impala sales of those looking for V-6 power in a smaller package. The new Malibu will likely be the third best-selling midsizer out of the gate. As the car starts to appear in neighborhoods around the nation. Comcord buyers that are sick of Toyota and Honda will give Chevy a look.
