  1. Has Hyundai heard of the VW Phaeton? Hyundai should wait and launch a real luxury brand, they are only going to discredit their reputation as a luxury automaker when they are successful in selling luxury cars.
  2. Toyota is going back to being ugly just as GM's getting stylish. Japanese automakers are either really arrogant or really stupid.
  3. Well, here comes the turn-around! Retail Sales up 11%! Without Incentives! These are Toyota-like numbers. Imagine when the new Malibu, G8, Enclave, etc. come out. GM,Keep it up! Great Job,GM!
  4. ultra luxury means something like the S-Class
  5. Aren't the Brits the only major automotive power that actually is dependent of foreign makes for 90 % or more of their new cars. Thats sad. lol Thank God for 7/4/1776!
  6. There's one Mopar fan that can buy Chrysler cash. Bill Gates
  7. I'm artistically challenged but, I didn't like any of these. No offense.
  8. Perhaps GM should just buy Chrysler and Jeep and sell off Dodge & Saab. Oh yeah, and replace Saturn with Chrysler.
  9. We could afford it by killing Dodge, replace Saturn with Chrysler, and selling off Saab. This would restre GM's orginal 5 brand liine-up. Chevrolet Pontiac Chrysler(Oldsmobile) Buick Cadillac I'd rather have Chrysler between Pontiac & Buick than Saturn. At least Chrysler is a decent replacement of Olds. Chrysler sells 500k per year, thats a good boost in GM's sales, even while chopping off Dodge and Saturn. GM better buy it or Toyota might to jump ahead of GM in the US and globally. If GM could benefit from a Chrysler buyout, I'm for, otherwise it can only delay GM's rebirth.
  10. Actually Petra, I knew it was the name of the car the Camry replaced back in the early 80s.
  11. It would be nice if Toyota would follow the ingenius marketing model of Ford. Ford 500=Ford Taurus Mercury Montego=Mercury Sable Toyota Camry=Toyota Blandry Honda Accord=Honda Imbored LOL!
  12. I love it. I like how its about as roomy as the LX sedans yet with a smaller wheelbase. This car is big enough to be the next Impala. My Idea for the SWB Zetas. Chevrolet Impala Pontiac G8 Buick Invicta? & the LWB Zetas Buick Electra Cadillac DTS?
  13. Imagine the complaining that went on by 50 year olds in the 60s whom missed their Pontiac Fire Chiefs. Well, this car is for the upcoming generation of car buyers not the the boomers. I certainly can't wait for the G8 to hit the streets.
  14. Astra v. Civic Comparos likely! 1.8L 140hp 126lb/ft I-4 v. 1.8L 140hp 128lb/ft I-4 Sounds interesting. Now if the Cobalt can match the Corolla

    Camaro V8

I'd say the Camaro should have the 3.6L 252hp V-6 from the Malibu, a 5.3L 320hp V-8 from the Tahoe, a 7.0L 505hp V-8 from the Corvette for the SS model.(or a blown 6.0L) This allows the Camaro to lead te hp wars with the V-6 and V-8 and to mach the Shelby Mustang in horsepower.
  16. Hey, when you got an infection you gotta clean out the wound to heal. GM is cleaning its wounds and it will soon heal. but, there will be scares. I've owned two W-body sedans, they are great cars. However, as much as they will be missed there will be people happy to see them go.

    Two for One

It seems dumb for GM to build two LWB Zetas (Impala & Lucerne) and only one SWB Zeta(G8). May be Saturn might get one then. I have no idea. An Epsilon 2 Buick seems like a AARP car of the year, considering that the G8 will be sold right by it. I understand that Buick's AARP custumers want FWD but, if they really need a FWD conservatively styled sedan buy a freakin 2008 Malibu. The last thing Buick needs is another Century, even if its styled like the Enclave.

    Two for One

The Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick Regal/LaCrosse have shared the same platform for 20 years. With the SWB Zeta G8 replacing the GP. The LaCrosse will likely be replaced by a SWB Zeta as well. Naturally the LWB Zeta would replace the Lucerne. The best part is that both Zetas could be here in 18 months. I can't wait! If anybody has proof that my speculation is correct. PLEASE! Post it!

    Saab Story

I give Saab 3 years of life in the US. Beyond that its stupid to continue putting resources into it at least in the US.
  20. While the EPA set guidelines for MPG ratings, automakers may choose to report them at or below the vehicle's actually EPA rating. Since Asian automakers overstate HP is does not surprise me that MPG is also overstated. I hope that they realize they will get sued or worse if they continue this illegal practice. The 2007 Honda Accord V-6 gets 20/29 chop off 4% and you get 19/28 the Saturn Aura gets 20/28, interesting isn't it? I can't wait to see the REAL ratings for the Japanese automakers when the new EPA MPG system comes out.
  21. MPG like HP is generally overstated by Japanese and Korean automakers, Europeans state them accurately, and typically Americans especially GM understate them.
