  1. BrewS: Sorry dude, I like the Quest, the curvy beltline, interesting but elegant interior and out of the box details appeal to me a lot more than these pseudo-1997 "new" vans from Chrysler. There's not ONE line of styling feature on this wan that strays from the 1st and 2nd generation. This is more boring than vanilla, it's like "stale sugar cookie" boring! Chrysler should be ashamed. Very true. Is the Aztek ugly? YES. but once it was stripped of th gray platic it was not all that bad looking. As a matter of fact it looks less hideous than the Dodge Nitro, Scion lineup, (esp. xA) and it certainly looks better than so many of those Korean cute-utes like the Santa Fe. How about the Mitsubishi Endevour? That "suv" could give lessons on UGLY. And last but not least, the Element. How does that piece of crap not get crucified by the media? The quote above summarises it nicely.

Oh don;t be such a stick in the mud. Screw the interior, it's a truck. I for one am thrilled about this. Now when will the Atlas I6 be available in the Silverado & Sierra?
  3. Right. R&D alone will not be offset in the first model year unless they had 1964.5 Mustang style sales on a 1964.5 Mustang style prouct. But Toyota has more of a 1988 Regal style product and the sales are not stellar.
  4. What a great looking G-body! I love these Cutlasses. Uh, what did you change? Did you photoshop something?
  5. CArve that into stone, it's true on SO may levels.
  6. The fit is gross... looks like a dustmite. Those headlights are so bulbous and the whole nose is awkward.
  7. Good luck dude, mind over matter. I know it's very tough. Smoking really is a gross habit.
  8. Anyone over THERE slap elCamino badges on a ute? There's more than a few GTOs here with Holden emblems.
  9. Let's see some photos od the Bonneville!
  10. Wow, sorry to hear about all that trouble.
  11. The perfect Tight Whip$ roadtrip means at least two Bustleback "for sale" spottings, in the SAME driveway.
  12. I only ever had two qualifications for a dealership: 1. GM 2. Geography (close to home)
  13. I'd love to have an 1981 Bonneville. And I beleive every 1980s car had retarded something, usually timing.
  14. D.F. The Liberty appeals to me a little, it's not all that bad of an "suv" but Julie hates its styling. As far as the Nitro:
  15. NIce photos... That Buick absolutely dwarfs that poor little Catera Touring Sedan. As far as the whole hood ornament usd for a bombsight, you ever see that Disney Public Service cartoon about road rage from like 1962? It was about a Dr. Jekel & Mr. Hyde (Mr. Wheeler) the evil motorist who uses his hood ornament to aim his car at pedestrians!
  16. DO NOT GET ME STARTED.............
  17. DF: Cool, good to hear you're making progress....................... finally. Now I wonder what I can get out of GM for my B-59. "Prizm Restoration Kit"
  18. Ever since you and SP met me I've been a bad influence. I remmebr when you were a nice, functioning member of society who drove a respectable FWD V6 powered Buick that averaged 26 MPG. Now look at you, brings a tear to my eye. Now the next step is to get SP out of that FWD Mopar and into a DONK Caprice!
  19. Wow, I wish more Hondas crahsed into MORE HONDAS!
  20. Yup, with better valvecover gaskets (to prevent oil leaks & oil starvation) these old tank would have a much better survival rate. 95% of them end up in a junkyard after someone leaks 4 quarts of 10W30 all over their exhaust manifold, starves the oil pump and blows the motor's valvetrain, rings & bearings.
  21. Here you go... @ Sweet Caroline's house in Rhode Island: And back in L-town. Some people like Chocolate, some like Vanilla, but in typical T!GHT WH1P$ fashion you gotta have both. The only thing cooler than driving this brown bucket of bolts home w/ Julie sound asleep with her head on my shoulder while we averaged close to 85mph is the cars' immediate "nickname". Brown Note Not sure how many of you know the SOuth Park referance but on the way down we were discussing the Chapelle Show and other dumb crap and I thought of the Brown Note episode of South Park, then when we saw this tripple-brown Chocolate Suprise the nickname "Brown Note" just kind of stuck. I mean that in the nicest way possible.
  22. Plus Fly, have you seen those PATHETIC 10" long tire irons in some modern cars? I'm with Moltar... they're pathetic.
  23. I'd rather have my lugnuts on too tight than too loose! Next time use a BIG wrench to leverage the tire iron.
  24. Yup... gotta love those FWD boats with Northstar motors. That's 90% of the reason I got rid of the STS. Good job on the "quick fix".
  25. That G-body B.V. picked up gives up about 2000 lbs. in weight & about HALF of its cu. in. Think about it. 231 vs. 455 So yeah, it's a little more condusive to daily driving. Our "new" F.B. averaged 16 mpg for the previous owner... he has 7 years worth of records proving it. (still in glovebox)
