Here ya go Fly!
I kinda like the way, I like the way she dips cause shes FlyBrian's LeSabre Well shes Fly's new big Buick And she used to be mine Shes so fine All joking aside I am happy to know that this Landyacht will be well taken care of by Fly & will never see a demolition derby. It's a shame that I do not have the space or $$$ to keep her but knowing she will stay in the C&G community is the next best thing, and besides, it's pretty cool that this car has gone Nebraska (bought new in 1976) to Massachusetts (late 1990?) and will now be retiring in Florida. Best of Luck with her Fly, I gotta call Camino soon and arrange a time to drive this big 455 powered hardtop to his domiscile.

Do you hold back?
I do not hold back much... esp. on here.

Less-than-Brillance - China's BS6 collapses in crash test
I think my 1984 Datsun would break this car in half before my rubber bumper covers got scuffed.

Fly, you remember how I said I wanted that `76 LeSabre?
For those who have no idea what the heck is going on: My landlord got a bit upset with me the other day & wrote me a letter saying I have to get rid of some of the Automotive clutter. His daughter is having a graduation party this weekend and my back yard will become a temporary parking lot for the guests. Mean time he decided he would rather NOT look out over his giant fenced in pool at the shell of a 1997 Cadillac STS, the Starsky & Hutch 1976 LeSabre & a scummy, war-torn 1994 Roadmaster Estate with 30% of its woodgrain peeled off. So the LeSabre is hiding out in a safehouse a few miles away @ Dodgefan's house.... if Camino still is willing it will make the journey to his house and I can pick up a certain Datsun on the way back. Word!!!

2010 Pontiac Firebird or GTO?
I vote for both... but either way I want to see both/either as HARDTOPS. The GTO was never given a real chance in it's last resurection attempt. GTO... then if Pontiac can build a business case for it the Firebird/TA too!

Thinking of selling The Riv...
Keep the Delta... dump the Rivi. XP715 finally listened to reason and sold his "Egg".

Death of a Park Avenue
I wish my buddy Tall Paul would do a similar review of his newly acquired 1972 Triumph Spitfire. He bought the car for a few hundred bucks to flip & make money with, now he has been working on it while he daily drives it and his 1973 Oldsmobile 98 2dr ht sits under a car cover. Pauls' descriptions of the Triumph's crappiness are much more funny than Clarkson's of the LeSabre. "Lord Lucas Prince of Darkness"

Happy 100th Birthday to tmp
You probably went to school with the gentleman who bought my 1964 Oldsmobile brand new. He was born in 1896.

Life update
2007 seems to be the year of break-ups & effed up relationships. I bet I could get into a pretty big pissing contest with you over who's life is more messed up right now. I'm sorry to hear this. Best of luck. That which does not kill us makes us stronger, right?

Tulsa Plymouth Sunk?
I think Miss. Belvedere IS very special and now after hearing many of the negative remarks about this car I'd love to buy it just to park it in my living room and stare at it. And yes I'd wash it off first. The dirt/mud/rust need to come off the car. I hope I can return to Tulsa & this Belvedere someday soon in at least semi-clean condition. I think the car is priceless... 95% rotted & all.

Death of a Park Avenue
I'm not sure what's more stupid... Crushing a Park Ave. because it sucks while pretending that somehow European cars are better... esp. if you're from the U.K., a country that has made some of the biggest pieces of $h! ever and then priced them to compete with Mercedes. OR Racing a Dodge RAm crew cab against an Ariel Atom. He's such a pompous duechebag. How about we race a DC-10 against his grandmother? Fantastic point!

Belvedere's aren't the only Plymouths buried in OK
Yes... I know about this one too. A 1998 Prowler is cool but it can not hold a candle to a 1957 Plymouth. I'd gladly crush this thing to save Miss Belvedere.

Tulsa Plymouth Sunk?
I think many of you are not seeing the forest for the trees. Yes, we al hoped the car would be MINT, but we all knew the chances of that were slim, in reality the car would only be mint if it was kept in a climate controled garage in AZ and the fluids were drained etc... The car is a priceless treasure, rusty or not it is a national heirloom and should not be F***ed with. Boyd Coddington, a guy who is famous for cutting up and messing with cars that should be left original, a guy who has made his living by screwing up classic cars for reality TV and celebrities said: "She's beautiful just the way she is, leave her just like that" If I won the car, I'd clean her up but in such a way as to keep her original and park the car right in my living room!

Tulsa Plymouth Sunk?
Have faith... Wait till I get home, you guys KNOW how I am about photos. So far I have a 512 & 1G memory card FULL of photos from our roadtrip! Met up with a gentleman from Buick-59.com and saw TWO 1959 Buicks in Tulsa, the first one was the first classic car that we saw as we pulled into down town Tulsa. I beleive in fate, I guess my B-59 did not feel up to the trip, or perhaps if we had taken it we would have fared worse in that 10 car pile up we almost got caught up in by Dallas TX. We cheated death that night, and still got to see TWO 1959 Buicks in Tulsa.

::Road Trip Update::
Sixty8 again... Ahhh well... it's all good. The 1959 Buick would have gotten about 14 on the highway... give or take. We're getting EXACTLY double that in the Intrepid. Plus the whole Datsun camper sage will alow me to "nose up the 59" to Balthazar's Invicta soon enough. I tried EVERYTHING I possibly could to take the Buick... but in the end when th car still overheated and the waterpump was pissing dexcool like a faucet we had to think of a plan B. In the end it's all working out great. Having a great time, the conversation & sight seeing makes up for the vintage iron feel of the B-59 which is loud as a *#&$% right now since the exhaus lacks ANY muffler... long story. Hello from Virginia... we're about to cross over into Tenn & very shortly after into Georgia. Perhaps it was meant to be, we're rockin' a Mopar to go see a 50 year old Mopar get ecavated & see the light of day for the first time in 50 years. For those who wish to call us my cell # is 978-621-6795. Right now the plan is to head to New Orleans... since we are ahead of schedule all in all.

::Road Trip Update::
This is Dodgefan btw So we're still here, the car is finally about ready to go. Basically it's been an ongoing saga with the B-59 and it's water pump. JB Weld didn't work, Teflon Tape didn't work, so in the end we ended up drilling and threading holes for the impeller and the shaft, then after Paul, Jessica and I went to Sears for screws, we threaded them into the shaft to keep the impeller on, and cut the bolt heads off so they wouldn't hit anything. After that the 3 of us (while Sixty8 worked on the car), went on another trip to AutoZone and then Advanced Auto Parts for a belt that would fit the water pump/generator. Sixty8 managed to fit one on by the time we got back but it's good to have a spare. So now the car runs like a champ, but the water pump leaks a bit. That's what adding coolant is for though! Other fun stuff includes a 4th gen Camaro fan (from speedingpenguin) mounted reverse to help keep the engine cool when the car isn't moving. It makes a lotta noise but hey it works...and probably won't be heard over the sound of the car's non-existant exhaust. We have it packed up and sagging already but that's half the fun. It's also got a boom box rigged up for superior sound quality. So...yeah...it's almost 9 and and we're still here! But we'l be leaving soon, so I hope you're ready for a midnight doorbell ing Baltazar. We'll be bringing the laptop, so expect to see a post every now and then. Wish us luck!
