  1. At this rate in a decade or two only pickups will have BOF architectire. Why does every freekin truck have to go unibody? I hate crossovers & I despise unibody trucks. Granted the "unibody" of the typical Jeep is at least MUCH beefier than the "nuibody" of a typical Japanese SUV or crossover.
  2. I saw this video and laughed my @$$ off. For a sec. there I thought this was my former car (now XPs) you know the one I call the Banana Hamock or the Banana Boat. The real T.W.C.C. Hand-me-down Special is a 1977 not 1978 like this one but I still stopped breating for a sec. =Enjoy. P.S. Under 11 in a 5000 lbs. car... Impressive!
  3. What... is this for real? If it is it's ANOTHER ^$#$&*%@ reason why the SIXTEEN should have been put into production in like 2004. ----- EDIT ------ What a freekin ripoff of the SIXTEEN. I don't hate it but I;d rather have the original. (Cadillac SIXTEEN) GM is justb plain retarded for not producing gthe SIXTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. When those 4 windows drop on this hardtop it's like the pearly gates opening.
  5. Yes... my late teen years are full of memories involving S.P. songs. I love 1979, I was born in 1979 so it fits.
  6. I got a flyer in the mail about it. Seems like I'm on every mailing list for useless automotive junk.
  7. Speaking of Razorbacks XP715 now owns TWO of them. He dragged a parts car to his dad's shop last night and statred tearing it up. The car is rough but not absolutely past the point of restoration, still better XP strips it and saves/stockpiles parts off it then it sit & rot undrivable.
  8. DodgeFan got it right. The Mass State Troopers have gotten a few Chargers... the Trooper who lives 1/8 of a mile away from me was the first in the state to get a HEMI Charger. Also my buddy Tall Paul's girlfriend's parents are BOTH troopers. And everyone agrees: the unibody Charger may be much better suited for high speed pursuits but it can not hold up to the Body On Frame Crown Vic/Iterceptor in terms of durability.
  9. If you have to have a FWD car might as well be: 1. a Cadillac 2. powered by 500 cubic inches 3. white leather interior 4. the size of a Peterbilt 379 You have a gorgeous Caddy there... still can't hold a candle to a 1967-70 Razorback though, YES you should... please.
  10. Dude, even if they cost $500,000 it would sell. Every Rap Star, Japanese Billionare, Shiek, Wall Street Mogul, .com-er & millionare Football/Basketball player would buy one!
  11. Yeah.... and THAT's why GM will remain stuck in semi-mediocrity. No one has a pair of ballls anymore. If Bugatti can have a W16 and Maybach can make a giant twin-turbo V12 than WTF is a production SIXTEEN so unreasonable??? This puts me in a foul mood. It's 100% Bullsh!t.
  12. You guys make some good points.... still the general rule remains. The Fusion, McZephyr & Milan are the worst by far. At least the G6 is handsome from other angles.
  13. Quad square sealed-beams make for great lighting in high-heam mode! Don't knock it till you've driven a Cadillac with 'em. AND These days silver star sealed beams are like HIDs for thinking people.
  14. TOP (green) modified by pushing front wheel forward BOTTOM (silver/blue) production 2007 DTS The wheelbase is the only thing I modified, the overall length and all else is unchanged. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about when I say that in profile FWD cars (with transverse mounted motors esp.) are awkward, ungainly & in many cases look just plain dumb to my eyes. The front wheels look like they've been pushed back 4" to 10" and the wheelbase looks way too short as a direct result. I think the green (modified) car looks a million times better. THOUGHTS!?
  15. Yup... now how about the last RWD Oldsmobile with a clutch? I'm guessing late 1970s?
  16. Click the link provided in the first post...
  17. Datsun has the typical rocker panel rot... not terminal though. Dodgefan: Sorry, I have not even had time to go to the bank with Julie to cash her check, that tells you how busy I've been since obviously money is HIGH on the list of priorities.
  18. The 2002 was cooler.
  19. uhhh-gly!
  20. Happy Birthday Moltar. Do you still have your Altezza? You should trade up to a new CTS to celebrate your arrival in this world.
  21. Awsome! I'd love to own that, so long as it was preserved right & mechanically sound $8K is a great deal for what is a MINT, as new semi-classic. My buddy Mike had a 350 powered '79 Regal 2dr as his first car. He power-slid it into a 6" tall granite curbstone at about 70mph and that was the end of that poor G-body coupe. The front suspension was more effed up than Rosie O'Donnell at an all-you-can-eat Buffet.
  22. I know, RIGHT? I see about two dozen of them on my way to work every day. Most of them 1970/1971s. God damn Mopar for going retro, I would much rather see ANOTHER Camry Solara LE than some RWD, Mustang-stomping, asphalt ripping musclke car. :AH-HA_wink:
  23. DOdgefan and I were just discussing the possibility of the B-pillars on the "production ready" chassis being just another way to get press & generate excitement over this car... now with the disguised C/B pillar area I think that might be a possibility. If this car, same as the Camaro, are not hardtops I just might stick to my "nothing newer than 1979" rule for many years to come.
  24. Smart guy. Holland's Junkyard will give me $175.00 even if I keep half the interior, the air-suspension pump, tail lights, rear bumper cover & the trunklid
  25. So yes, I've been busy. Sorry I have been absent on here. I'm not "back" either, you probably will see very little of me in the next few weeks. Installing a water pump on my 1959 Buick for the 8th time the other day I cracked the timing chain cover so I can drive the car about 20 miles & or 30 minutes between 2 gallons fillups of H20. My STS is still not sold, it just might have to go to the junkyard tomorrow if the landlord is still having a cow. The Datsun sits in the mini-carport. Untouched, not roadworthy but still together. As far as my personal life, well I think I will keep my personal life "personal" for now, but a LOT has/is happening. Some good, some bad, some absolutely depressing and some AWSOME too. Julie is my sanity. I love that girl. She is my best friend, my lover & my future happiness is 100% certain if she remains in my life. If I do one crazy thing this year, other than buying a certain '70s Datsun "Happy-Fun-Deluxe" RV it will be to elope with this girl. She's been in my life since the 20th century and I do not know if there is another peroson who understands me better on a non- car related plane. My parents and their disapproval of my break-up with Marcia is both humorous (since they hated her for years) & is adding to my stress emensely. Mean time I've been doing my best to trim the fleet of cars in my driveway down from the 6 it was a week ago to the TWO it will be by the end of this upcoming week end. Hopefully. That's assuming the 1997 STS and 1984 Datsun are both SOLD. At that point I can get that particular Nipponese RV that we've talked about and then replace the B-body Estate with another Cadillac. Fly's got the details on that. Anyway if anyone is interested, here's the Craig's listings for my two $h!boxes. http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/car/362752449.html and http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/pts/362740547.html ......
