  1. Yeah the whole fine line between the A & G bodys always perplexed me.
  2. the clap
  3. A million concepts, clay models and sketches result in one or two designs. I'd love to say you can predict the future by looking at these deigns but the reality is that you're just looking at water over the damn as of 2006.
  4. ghetto
  5. I can not find HIS story... how do I go to Christopher Noel?
  6. One fo the best college professors I ever had said somthing very smart once: Being No.2 in an industry is sometimes the BEST place to be!
  7. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8...43133&hl=en Its rather stupid but I've never seen a couple of the clips... otherwise most of it is old stuff.
  8. You know me, I love the Corvette but I think that the C5 & C6 both have a very plastic looking and generic styling compared to the 5th gen. Camaro concept. The next Vette needs a bit of testosterone injected into it's fiberglass skin.
  9. A few years ago I bought a 1979 Ford Granada 2-door for $35. I drove it around a bit, & I was getting ready to demolition derby the beast, I saw no redeming value in it. Even the BOF & RWD did not make it appealing to me. It was one of the worst handeling cars I've ever owned, My full size 1959 Buick, 1964 Olds & 195,000 miles 1968 Camaro all felt like BMWs with track tunned suspension compared to that old POS Ford. Anyway I ended up frying my MSD box on the Camaro about a month before the burnout contest (Worcester Summer Nats) so I decided to take the Granada instead. The car commited suicide on the way to Worcester, at 70mph it was screaming for dear life on Rt.290 and the oil pump ended up $h!ting the bed. That old stright six basically put a gun in its mouth. I pulled off after the car stalled, popped the hood and as I undid the wingnut for the telltale white noxious smoke poured out of the intake & carb. I ended up driving my other beater, the 1983 Firebird with a crate 350 meant for a truck, and doing the burnout contest in that instead. (sold the Firebird that night for $700) Still have the hood ornament & jack off that ugly old Granada. I sold to a guy who had it impounded and it was crushed. Too bad in a way, it really would have made for a good demolition derby car, not meant to be I guess.
  10. The title of this thread sounds like the begining of a Microsoft/PC joke/Bill Gates joke.
  11. Damn broad was a dead giveaway.
  12. Just as ugly as the regular one.
  13. On the one hand I agree BUT my camerawork is like that when it comes to my cars, esp. classics.
  14. burn
  15. Alright, yes I know it seems I've been slacking on getting the last and final trivia question posted... between buying my '59 Buick, getting going on the valvejob on my Super 88, dropped the heads off at the machine shop just this after noon, & trying to get my eBay store going again after dropping the ball for about a year.... Anyway the point is here's something I whipped up today for you guys, it's pretty easy for the Mopar fans here... so I think. Which one of these cars is NOT a product of the Chrysler Corporation? Only one of these cars is NOT a Mopar, if only by name.
  16. tightwad
  17. Bobo: Are you serious? A Trabant in the USA? Isn't that like taking a John Deere into space. Just a few minutes ago I saw a GORGEOUS 1971 Monte Carlo in LeMans Blue with a white interior and a white vinyl roof. Looked awsome!
  18. Cool, nice review. Marcia rented a 3.5 powered 300 Touring last summer. I returned it for her sunday night, but not before XP & I did some "wheelspin testing" in it after turning off the traction control. Let's just say it did very well. We added about 2 miles on the car's odometer without actually moving an inch.
  19. I agree Raven... asking to get an estimate on your car without having it present is pretty much like asking to pick out a counterfit $100 bill from 3 miles away using a pair og binoculars. You could take a dozen photos of each body panel including inside the trunk, inner wheel well & inside the trunk and the body man will still tell you he needs to SEE the car in person. Either way it will be worth the money you invest, that's one gorgeous hardtop right there. Still I think you may find it will be cheaper to get a rear skin or 1/4 panel instead of repairing your damaged one.
  20. Congrats on the new car. The Lumina GT is not one of my favorites though... (P.S. they stopped making Monte Carlos in 1988)
  21. rain & sleet
  22. I was hoping for a more vertical grille. The PT Cruiser & HHR have the same problem: their noses have horizontal grilles, the PT especially would benefit from a late '30s style grille with a more tall & narrow grille. Think 1938 Buick or 1936 Chevrolet.
  23. Hand Painted Antique China
  24. The dude's name is Wolfgang.
  25. Stupidity all around. GM should be ashamed of themselves... 11 years we've waited for a replacement for the B-bodys and now after all the waiting & the back-n-forth B.S. and anti-RWD stupidity we finally had a 100% solid and competetive product lineup and and now THIS? F#@&ing BULL$H1T! Communist China gets better GM vehicles than we do?
