  1. While I agree the Mazda & Nissan resemble the Ion, the Ion is not exactly a trendy or hip design. I think the Ion's rear 1/4s and tail lights are hideous. Gross to be honest.
  2. Some dude in Tyngsboro has a International CXT, it's all over the place. Not including that one I've seen about 5 of them.
  3. Someday when we're all driving Government issued Corolla Hybrids all you cna preach to me about the THEORETICAL improved side impact protection of a 1.5" wide B-pillar made of 1/16th inch of steel with a fixed (glued in) piece of glass. It's a free country. I think people with good taste would prefer a true hardtop. Make fun all you like, I'm passionate about cars. I think 99% of the populaton considers the Camry a decent, acceptable car, but that does NOT mean I do not expect more of GM. Honestly the longer I live the more I am disgusted with the lack of effort in today's car industry. First it's no two door hardtops, then it's no four door hardtops, then it's no RWD, then we are told that even Grand Prixs do not sell well enough in two door (sedans) to make a business case for a coupe. Then we are told no one wants manual transmissions anymore. I'm sick of modern cars being 95% compromise in the name of cost savings, the stupidity of the general public & safety "advancements". But hey, laugh it up. People with no standards never get upset about their expectations being too high. And as they say: a pessimist is never dissapointed, right?
  4. Back to 2007 MY cars... I'm with Camino on this one. I think that a Scion anything, Civic or Corolla along with most compact cars are about as much "car" as the a tupperware container is a sailboat.
  5. From 1979 to 1987 I lived in Slovakia (Eastern Europe) From 1987 to present I've been in mASSachusetts.
  6. Mass Murderer
  7. Someone who parks in front pf the Massachusetts State House has a "1" vanity plate on his/her Nissan Altima. I think it might be Ted "Lake Chapatiqua" Kennedy.
  8. Solstice GXP, cause it's not oly Domestic but also GM and it kicks arse. Zetas. Mainstream RWD is a beautiful thing. Redline & Greenline versions. Agressive marketing to the Camry & Accord crowd. Play dirty if you have to. RWD. No doubt.
  9. Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili
  10. Wow... awsome roadtrip. I love this kind of thread. f@#k arguing about cars and nit-picking some new 2007 models that I do not care about. This is what the car hobby is all about. Fill up an old GM boat that breaths through a quadrajet, hit the road & be liberal with a digital camera. I can not wait to take my Buick to Tulsa, OK. That will be the highlight of my decade. If I break down it'll be interesting to see what happens and if I drive the 3500 or so miles without incident then I'll be ecstatic.
  11. Cool. I'll probably never buy one but if I have to stare at these things at least it looks better than most Toyotas/Hondas & it is RWD. Maybe if I see one in the want ad for $300 fifteen years from now I'll get it for a winter beater so my 1961 Cadillac & 1959 Buick don;t see the salt but I can still go drifting durring blizzards.
  12. Excellent point. I assumed the cars had to be 2007 MY. If that was NOT the case my top five would actually be close to that. Perhaps like: - 1969 Chevrolet Camaro COPO ZL1, 4-speed - 1968 Pontiac Firebird OHC I-6, 4-speed - 1961 Oldsmobile Cutlass Wagon, 3-speed (or a 1962 Buick Special) - 1969 Chevrolet Corvair Yenko Stinger 4-speed - 1964 Plymoouth Barracuda 4-speed
  13. I fu**ing hate PCs. Wish I had the $$$ for an Apple.
  14. Jesus you guys are funny with some of your lists. I'd only consider some Mariner or Sebring a "spot" if it was shinny side up, on fire or post-explosion. That's the one. She's a sexy bitch! I'd love to own this car. The only modification I'd ever do would be a 4-spd. I even love the white walls out, they work well with the white interior imho.
  15. Cool thread. In 5 years I hope me & Marcia have one more baby, buy a house & I hope to be in business for myself... doing something automotive related. In 10 years I hope to own at least TWO 1959 Buicks, one of them a flattop & the otehr one a bubbletop. In 40 years, by the time I retire I hope to own at least one V16 Cadillac. That's my dream car now. The only car that's cooler than a Duesenberg to me.
  16. Solstice Redline Sky GXP Astra Cobalt SS/SC Rabbit
  17. 1. In Stephen King's Pet Sematary (or however it's mis-spelled) the wife gets a ride off a trucker in an 18-wheeler, what number is painted under the door of the truck as she steps out in front of the house? (just after her "Aries K" goes into a ditch) What make is the truck? 2. In Jeepers Creepers, what is the approx M.Y. & make of the truck driven by the antagonist, & what M.Y./make car does the protagonist drive? What makes the car a somewhat "rare" model? 3. In the original "Friday the 13th" what old school COE is featured when the new sexy councelor is trying to get to Camp Crystal Lake? This is NOT a part of Question #59 of T.W.T.T. which IS coming soon. Consider it a warm-up.
  18. Always wanted to do it... never pulled the trigger. I think the Datsun would be the logical choice but even more fun would be to do it in a '73 Cadillac Deville powred by a 500.
  19. Here's some goreous cars: http://www.vccc.com/galleries/1930-1945/pics1930-1945.htm
  20. That Eclipse style ricer nose is horrible.
  21. 1967 Pontiac Firebird, 326-auto. Blue with a white interior... great condition, $12,995 obo.
  22. Viagra
  23. Too bad you got rid of that deVille, if only for sentimental reasons.
  24. 1,000,000th 1977 Oldsmobile. That's exactly 1,000,000 more than they made in 2006.
