  1. If it is meant to replace the GP why would it be V8 only and priced to replace the Bonnie???
  2. Cool. Not a bad concept... until you have to replace a $1300 turbocharger, $800 supercharger & $400 clutch in ONE service visit... and labor adds up to about $1800 on te job. Complication is like a cancer that is spreading in all new cars. More and more & MORE we buy cars that the wet dream of Murphey's Law, This car, along with the Prius will litter junkyards in a few years like Mopar Kias & Hyundais do today.
  3. Pork, it's what's for dinner!
  4. California is NOT the state with the most elaborate system of highways... all clogged with Priuses and movig 12mph... Not.
  5. That's what 99% of you guys said when I used to go on tangents about how eventually an all new 5th gen. Camaro was going to be a reality and it would be 1st gen. retro. :AH-HA_wink: Okay so maybe Chieftan is archane and non-P.C. but it's still better than "G8" what the hell is a G8? Prototype Mac computer? There's plenty of awsome Pontiac names they could resurect. How about Catalina? Or Tempest, LeMan, Granville, Parissanne?
  6. It's a body bag... someone poured sugar in Northstar's fuel.
  7. I'm not exactly goo-goo & ga-ga about New England but I think California sucks even more. There are two AWSOME things about California for me: 1. Rust free classic cars on every corner, people using 1951 Chevrolets & 1947 Buicks as daily drivers. 2. Those crazy dragway style blinking lights on the two lane on-ramps. Every time you get on the highway it's like a drapg race w/ the guy in the next lane!
  8. Fu&%in' awsome! If this replaces the GP and not Bonneville then that means that we'll probably see a LWB version as a Bonneville replacemenet. Perhaps "Catalina" or "Chieftan"
  9. Just switch to Mobil 1. Safe & smart decision.

  11. THANK YOU! No that THAT has been addressed, how is the Lancer going to be worth anything? It will be the service/durablitity/reliability nightmare that every MisuBITCHY seems to be!
  12. Dude, I'll slap a new fuel pump in her and driver her out to ya for... say.... $500.
  13. You guys are nuts..... & gross too. Camino: Space Truck II still a possibility?
  14. FYI: It gets 18mpg if driven like it's stolen but the Northstar takes Premium. I guess if you added a quart ofm oil every week you could get another couple years out of it.... the heated seats & all power options work, I installed a new trunk pull down and two new wheel bearings last year. The CD changer is F*** thiough. If you seriously wanted it I'd sell it to you for $1500, but it's probably better that I part it out for like $3000.
  15. You do not want the STS. Trust me. You can have it for $1800 complete if you realy want but it needs a lot of work. It needs a windshield, tires, a battery, intake gasket & some other odds & ends. I bought the "Arnott" air-ride suspension/struts/shock replacement kit for all four corners but it needs to be installed so the ass is draggin' right now. The car will do 129mph on the highway all day long (not kidding either) but it also has a nasty oil leak, you gotta add like a quart per 150 miles. Some jackass switched from synthetic to regular motor oil and f@#ked the car before I ever bought it... it has 147,000 on it. In the last 18 months I have driven it less than 200 miles. You saw it in the car port right behind the Datusn at the "T.W. meeting" remember? It's emerald green. It's in the car port next to the Super 88. Here's a VERY flattering picture of it with my fleet as of June 2005.
  16. wow... I wish I could help you or give advice, but I got not idea WTF that's all about. Sounds like there's something serious going on however. My dad had a early 1980s VW Rabbit 5-speed back in the day and his shifter got all jammed up in Neutral when some rubber gasket came out of place. He told me this story when I was like 12 years old though so my details might be a bit innacurate.
  17. I did almost buy a Datsun P/U about three months ago. Looked just like this one but lemon yellow.
  18. Why bother with pics.... videos are more fun!
  19. Truth is stranger than fiction!!! Astronaut charged with kidnap attempt http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070206/ap_on_...ronaut_arrested
  20. WMJ: Honestly: It's a datsun and it's got 158,000 miles on it, so yeah there's plenty wrong. The clutch will need to be done soon, the rocker panels need some welding and the fuel pump went about two weks ago. When I get it running I still need to finish up the rear brake job... (4whl disk brakes, remember) because XP and I snapped a shim in half due to the slide pin being rusted solid. Actually one of our buddies at Autozone did the breakage but it was under my request to free up the pin, even with about 2 bottles of PB blaster it would not let go and just snapped like a twig when the big guy put his shoulder into it on the vice. Honestly Joe, if you want it and promisse not to ever crush it or demolition derby it you can have it for half of what I paid for it, in other words, I'll sell it to you (or who ever else would be a loving owner) for $150 IF you promisse to try your best to restify/preserve it. But I digress and I'm pretty sure you're just kidding. My Super 88's ebay auction closed at $1750 (reserve not met) So basically, like Fly said... some beat to F*** old low rider '64 chevy is worth $7000 with a destroyed interior and gucci rims but my original beauty is worth less than the average asking price for a '92 Corolla? I need to pul $4000 out of thin air so I can buy that 1959 Buick, that will be my daily driver while I rebuild my Olds. Unless someoen off ebay actually offers $4000 or damn close to it.
  21. You love the Scion BoX but the Mini Cooper & Astrovan are ugly?
