  1. Happy Birthday guys!!!
  2. Inverted C-pillars are cool on 1960s Mopars, but if they're 20" thick and on a hatchback econobox it's prettty lame. That dashboard is ATROCIOUS the the shifter looks quite a bit "Fisher Price"! Still it's better looking than the xA, from every angle.
  3. Trekie
  4. Honda is all about cheap, easy to make cars, it's their marketing dept. that work overtime. Otherwise why the hell would they base a pickup truck on a damn minivan, go to McPherson Struts on Civics after years of preaching double whishbones and all the other hypocritical B.S. that HondAcura gets away with. Racing in Formula 1 is nice but try making a PRODUCTION car that does not suck for a change. do you really think a TRUE enthusiast will buy a FWD Sedan like the "European-Accord" TSX over a car like the Cadillac CTS, BMW 3 series or even the Lexus IS300? I'll just stop here because I do not need to remind anyone how I hate FWD. FWD is for economy cars, esp. if the motor is mounted sideways (transversely) like a sewing machine. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. Moltar: I understand packaging and crash worthyness benefits to the V6 but c'mon, this is not the Camry or even Maxima we're talking about... it's a legendary super-car that has always cast practicality aside for the sake of performance & design purity. The inherant smoothness of a inline-6 coupled with the ease of maintenance is why I will never like V6s very much but I LOVe inline-6s. That's what makes a V12 so very smooth is that it's basically two I6 fused at the crank, but then again I'd even love to own a I8 powered Buick someday.
  6. Good... it's the slippery slope. I'm glad GM is instead telling them to screw. First it was the C6 Vette Jumpin' Jack Flash ad, now this. It's a freekin' ROBOT! take your damn balls out of your wife's purse!
  7. @ Fly! Is that as it pertains to Oldsmobile Aurors Ownership or GMs in general...? I know my No* powered STS made me feel this way quite a bit when it was still on the road.
  8. O.B. are you really dissapointed... I mean it COULD be better but I think it's still a very good looking car IMHO. I love it and think it wil do well in the USA as a poor man's BMW 5-series.
  9. Wow... sorry to hear that Dude, $282 is a lot of cake. Still at least it's fixed, right? Seems liek Toyotas with high milage often have "broken seat" problems, going on friend's past experience. Then again the average Japanese person is quite a bit shorter and lighter than us Americans, but still that's no excuse, if you're going to sell cars here make them hold up to an Average American buyer. I've got an appt. for the Infiniti to get a diagnostic check next wed. because it stalls out at times since the new fuel pump. it's usually at an intersection when slowing down to a near stop. The service advosor said most likely it's the Mass Air Flow sensor from how I described it but the MAF was replaced last May under our warranty from the dealerhisp we bought it from. Which might mean they installed a generic one and now we're F***ed.
  10. Very cool. Too bad it's a Vee-6 and not an INLINE six just like every other GTR. WTF is the world coming to? The Jeep Wragler went to a V6 after years of I6s... Mercedes pu$$ied out a while back and replaced the I6 with a V. Porsche 911s are H2) cooled.... For every new GOOD innovation we get in the 21st century a few old school, tried & true, time tested innovations/benefits are thrown in the dumpster like yesterday's newspaper.
  11. Well, at least we agree on ONE thing.... FWD is cheaper, end of story. If a BOF car with RWD was the cheapest way to build a car Honda would make a 3/4 size Crown Victoria with a balsa wood frame & paper-mache driveshaft for the sake of fuel economy. Still, as much as I hate cheap cars with thin sheetmetal, boring styling and comuter-car-oriented mechanicals if Honda made a RWD Accord/Civic for $18,000 that did NOT looks as fugly as most of the current product, (the TSX is pretty good looking) then I'd have a lot les things to despise Honda for. They will not though. They're too busy enginnering the shared chassis of their FWD MINIVAN & "PICKUP".
  12. I tried Firefox about a year back based on what I heard about it here. After about a week I switched back because I did not prefer Firefox.
  13. Not any time soon... even if they manage to pull of dealership networks if their cars are that horrible in crahs tests they CAN NOT sell them in the USA. We have the most stringent safety standards in the world. Nissan still made 4-door hardtops in the mid-1980s for sale in Australia & Japan.... not that there's anything wrong with that technically but they did not even make a very ridgid B-post, it was the same unibody tin-can that my Datsun Maxima is based on. Safety considerations are still at or below USA's 1950s levels in many parts of the world, in some ways worse because they think airbags will make up for $h!ty design.
  14. American LaFrance Firetruck... (1956)
  15. It gets about 24 with me driving it pretty hard, but it also needs work too. The way things are going I might have to drive that again for the time being, it's still registered & insured.
  16. Funny stuff... http://blog.abovetopsecret.com/wecomeinpea...good_itl_1.html
  17. That's my point. You know who Pol-Pot was right? Cambodian equivelant of Hiitler. A manipulative, evil, power-hungry mass-murderer. but someday justy like the Japanese, Cambodia just might make a car that gets exported here to the USA, someone will buy it and at the same time preach about how evil GM. As far as my ridiculous desription it will be very similar to many of today's Chinese car manufacturer's logos. Look around on Google.
  18. It's just like the old one but rotated 360 degrees.
  19. I thought the same thing Toni... for a sec. there I thought that WAS the new Forester.
  20. Balthazar: Your friend's LeSabre that you were refering to is the closest to the car I'm looking at out of everything on the net. You're right BTW, very rare to see a 2dr LeSabre & more often than not the brightwork on the door/greenhouse is NOT present when it comes to 2dr posts, I talked to Mr. L last night it seems I've got a few weeks to come up with the money.... so Keeping the Super 88 and buying the B-59 might be what I end up doing, I need a quick way to come up with $3800. I'm considering throwing the Datsun on Craigslist (WMJ still want it?) & even selling some of my car "junk" off. Better still maybe I should keep my crap and get a part time job at nights doing something midless. My daytime job is stressfull enough.
  21. Just becuase I'm totally nuts I'd love to have one of these with a 572 & M22. Still even if you drop a 283 between the fenders, it will be a fun cruiser!
  22. Skyline sedan w/ trialer hitch... LOL Crazy Japanese Rednecks!
  23. What a dumb f*%k. GM is crap but Ford has "QUALITY"? This kid is probably like 11 years old & has yet to ride in a car outside of his Mommy's Windstar, nevermind drive.
  24. stud
  25. Looking at it for like the 7th time... really annalyzing every line & compound curve... I LOVE IT!!!
