Absolutely. BTW: Camaros and Firebirds shared VERY litle mechanical in their 1st gen. Suspension tunning, motors, rear ends, wheels, trim, interiors... all different. Even the inline-6 variants. Remember the base motor in the Poncho was a very sophisticated Over-head Cam design that was WAY ahead it's time for the price. The 2nd gen. increased the homoginazation quite a bit and by the 3rd it was mostly emblems. But at least it never got as bad as the Mustang & Capri or Taurus & Sable. As far as the SHO both the 1st gen. V6 and 2nd gen./ V8 were made by Yamaha and they do in fact have the potential of revig to like 10K. 14K is definatelly a hugge exageration. The V12 in the Jaguar XJS was supposed to have 10K ability untill they cheaped out on some component in the heads. I forget but I want to say the camshaft & valve springs had to do with it. Valve float perhaps?

You think Nissan/Infiniti is bad? Try Toyo-Lex. Vinyl seat for a BASE 1995 Toyota Tercel. (non-power, non lumbar... non any-freeekin thing) $650. I laughed my ass off when I heard that.

I still think the "Fast" ads are stuuupid.... but these UNpimp My Ride spots are awsome!!! The best part is that a Mitsubishi & Honda got destroyed. Although the third car should have been a Toyota Matrix or Corolla or perhaps a Tiburon not a Ford Focus. The German Engineer cracks me up, this guy needs a REAL show where he can make fun of riceboys at the track.

Like I meantioned, I would LOVE a '94-'96 Fleetwood Brougham but the G/F will not even consider one. Her only objection is the "Grandma Styling". We wrote out a $1000 deposit check les than two hours ago on a car mentioned in this thread. I'm happy, she's happy & if all pans out with the financing we'll be picking it up tomorrow. Until then I'll leave you guys in suspense.... I wonder who will guess the right car I bought. Well, unlike the STS which was legaly mine in terms of finacing & reg. this new-used car will be in Marcia's name. So what do you guys think? Any guesses? Just one hint: I "sold out" to one evil while maintaining my strongly valued princliples in another aspect. Sound vague? it should.

Decent car, great rims, nice interior color and KUDOS on the manual trans. (SAAB is one of my least favorte GM brands but it beats the hell out of Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus)

If this was RWD it would be my #1 Choice right now. White-diamond has a way of making me all warm & fuzzy inside. Marcia thinks it's a little too "Gradmaish" for her but I think she should at least test drive it. I'm pretty sure the car is worth the money all day long. 1996 Cadillac Sedan Deville $ 8,995 Exterior Color Pearl White Mileage 68,700 Miles Engine 4.6 liter V8 - Northstar Transmission Automatic Super Cheap (even by my standards) & very tempting. I saw the "fast" ad with the cop the other day and told Marcia that VW owes me compensation for the brain cells that viewing that super-stupid ad killed. I'm not kidding when I say it is easily one of the worst VW ads of all time. Marica usually tells me to shut up and stop complaining when I bitch about Toyota/Honda/Lex/Acu/Kia/Ford ads but this time she just looked back at me & agreed that it was incredibly dumb! Other than that I have not seen the rest but have no desire to do so. I stopped paying attention to VW when (2002?) they illustrated subtly in one of their Brochures with corny photography that it outaccerelarts a 1970.5 Firebird/Trans Am. Yeah, keep dreaming guys.

Wow.... looks awsome. Much better than our Lacrosse or even Lucerne for that matter. Love the stand up hood ornament. It has some obious borrowed styling cues from Nissan, Infiniti & Acura but it still looks good.
