  1. Hey buddy! Hope all is well. Keep posint your work. :)
  2. Wow, great post. :) My eventual '59 LeSabre/Invicta/Electra will have a "valve-in-head" V8. B)
  3. I KNEW there had to be a freekin explanation/excuse for my Datsun purchase. :P All joking aside the Japanese are still at war with us, it's not a war fought on a battlefield, this one is fought in the corporate & economic realm.
  4. One of the few compact cars that owes no one any apologies about its transverse mounted engine of FWD. It invented the FWD hatchback as we know it in 1959 and it's still the best. The Honda 600, VW Rabbit, GM J-cars, Citoren DS, Toyota Tercel/FWD Corollas, Chrysler K-cars, Ford Focus, Honda Civic.... and every other POS transverse mounted compact car with a four banger and FWD owes it's existance to Issigonis and his Austin Mini. Just like the GTO, the original trend setter is still the best of the breed! :)
  5. The last time I saw that Cheese Wedge (Subaru XT) was when I was flipping through the channels and noticed "BIG" (wiht Tom Hanks) was on TV about a year ago. They're nonexistant now in N.E.
  6. Balthazar: Why did you leave out Mitsubishi, Honda, Acura, Scion and Saturn? Yes I said Saturn. I;d sacrafice Saturn, Hummer and SAAB just to bring back ONE of the aforementioned: esp. Plymouth, Olds or DeSoto.
  7. If only Plymouth had gotten the TP-Cruiser and then held out untill the current RWD-LX cars (rebadged MB E-series) hit the streets they could already have a Belvedire/Sport Fury/Cuda lineup selling like Hotcakes. It's a freeking Crying shame Plymouth is gone... Olds had plenty of lame products in the 70s, 80s and 90s but I wouldn't ever try to say "good at least someone put the out of their misery!" How could anyone be happy about a nameplate like Plymouth getting euthenized. <_< What about LaSalle, Pierce Arrow, Studebaker, Packard & Deusenberg... those deserve to die too?
  8. Nick: He-he... you caught me. While I love the looks of the new BMW 5-er I have not been paying attention to BMW for about 3 years now. It's hard enough for me to concentrate on anything new these days... all I think about is how as soon as the spring comes around I'll be selling ym Camaro and looking for a '59 Buick hardtop of some sort.
  9. Wow. Nuff said. B)
  10. Wow! That's effin Funny! Love it NOS, thanks for sharing. 20 4th Gen F-bodys versus ONE Fox body Stang... that's like every gangster in Goodfellas against Bambi. Kewl! :metal:
  11. Pretty crazy but I like it. I forgot to mention that the CTS-V would be my obvious choice but I think that's obvious. I love the C6 Vette but I'm all about Cadillac these days and besides, the CTS-V is such a sleeper. Still if the Z06 was not over the $50K budget I would have said that. :)
  12. GM - CTS-V: probably in stealth gray, maybe black raven Ford - Loaded up Mustang GT ragtop in yellow Chrysler - Charger SRT in black and black ONLY! Euro - BMW M3 in blue or yellow Asian - I'm assuming you meant new but I'll go with the last gen. Skyline GTR
  13. Never had luck getting more than a dirty look whe I go inot a dealership to grab a brochure. "What's your problem Cockhead? Just cause I drive an '86 Cadillac does not automatically mean I can't afford a 2005 BMW 540i, take yourdirty look and shove it!"
  14. That Troy McClure poster is awsome! :P
  15. My feedback is 478 as of a few days ago... 100% positive. Which is why I had the ability to sell a 1969 Camaro for $15,000 on there for my buddy Sean this summer. When it's time to buy something I look or sellers wiht an excellent reptation. If not 100% then at least 97%. That being said give this guy a chance, everyone starts off wiht a feedback of Zero, doesn't automatically mean he should not be trusted. 95 % of the tmie sellnig my experience has been great. I've never gotten a bad feedback but I had one punk Asshole give me a "Neutral" beacuse he felt he payed too much for S&H. He bought a used Honda emblem off of me (hood "H" off a ealry 90s civic) for $1.99. I charge a minimum of $3.99 for S&H on emblems. He received the emblem in a timely fashion with no damage (like 7 days later) sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard in a regular envelope. His comment to me about the Neutral Feedback was this: "Item not in Mint condition. More like very good. Seller didn't resolve, but nice" (copied & pasted taht right off My eBay) Dude, you payed $1.99... Next time buy a new one from a Honda dealer for like $27.99
  16. Well spoken Balthazar! Makes me think of my old Sig. :( I'll have to rework it and stuff a TRUE AMC in there in place of the Talon.
  17. I know I posted this photo a dozen times in the past year but it's on eof my favorites. Another oldie but goodie. That '95? Aurora at Hollnds Junkyard I mentioned to Fly... still have not had a chance to go back and see if there are any salvagable parts on it. And last but not least... the Datsun.
  18. It's like I'm wearing nothing at all... nothing at all... nothing AT ALL! STUPID SEXY FLANDERS! BTW Paolino: It was the "Electaurus" and the last line it has in that episode is "Help, it burns, it BURNS" as the saltwater starts to imemdiately cause rust-thru. It was obviously illustrated as an EV1. :)
  19. Most probable concluson. I LOVED my 1991 Blazer S10. This thread inspired my to finally post it in the Reader's Ride section today. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...st=0#entry49089
  20. Since I've never told the whole story of my beloved S10 Blazer I thought it was about time I do so. Esp. with all the S10 hatin' going on around here as of late. :P It was a cool truck... gunmetal gray metallic, 4.3 liter V6, 2dr, loaded, 4x4 on the floor with 104,000 miles when I got it. If it had been an automatic I never would have looked twice at it. I was in the market for a truck, but I wanted a BEATER truck. I wanted someones scummy throwaway beater S10, the ONLY requirement was that it would be a 5-speed. My buddy John Morris was going to sell me his 280,000 mile 88 S-10 P/U. It was a 4-cylinder (iron duke) extra-cab longbed with a manual transmission. It had freekin gloss black Ladder racks on it, the whole truck was done up in primer gray with Camaro IROC-Z Rims that had chewed up a few curbstones over the years. $200. for the whole kit and caboodle. According to John the valvecover had never even been off the freeking truck. A testimate to Chevy/GM durrability. Anyway A few days after I talked John into selling the S10 to me he trades in this gray Blazer in from a customer who buys a used 2000/1/2 Monte Carlo. He drives it up to me and says: screw it, you buy my truck and I'll buy this bad boy! I'm like "eh, its nice but I have to have a 5-speed in my next vehicle so I'd rahter have your pickup." John pints to the shifter knob sticking out of the trany tunnel and I'm like WHAAAAAT??? All of a sudden I WANT this thing bad... John's like I knew you'd be all hot and horny over this pile so have at it. $600 dollars and a few days later I gassed that bitch up with Sunoco 94 and having JUST bought it drove it throught the biggest mud puddle in town. I drove that truck for like 24,000 miles, beat the crap out of it every day, installed those amber fog lights I'm so smitten with and sold it for $1000 off my front lawn the first day I put it out for sale. Asking price $1300, the guy offered $900 and I was like NO way am Igoing less than $1000 and my CD player is not a pert of the deal unless you pay $1100. Sold. I miss that little guy. Of all the off roading I did in it and all the dumb crap I pulled behind the wheel of that truck my best memory of it was cleaning about 7" of snow off of it at Emerson Hospital on the morning of January 12, 2004. The day my little Sofia came into the world.
  21. Actaully all those look great... GM1s Olds, Grand Am and the Cobalt all look awsome! Good photography people! :)
  22. Just thogught I'd share some funny Simpsons pics. I got this Sticker for Marcia a couple years back. :)
