  1. Holy crap. I guess I take living in a small town for granted. I've got this terrible habit of leaving the keys i the ignition and running into a 7-Eleven or inot the Sunoco station while the car si running to grab an Arizona Green Tea. One of these days I'l probably get a rude awakening. I have never had a car stolen. Minor vandalism yes but not stolen. Did I mention on here that I had the STS at Sean's house for a while and the windshield got smashed with a crow bar? I mean some serious BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA!
  2. W T F ? ? ? All I have to say is: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:
  3. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean Autoweek is usually right on with their "scoops" and I'm thrilled that we'll be using the Kappa+ chasssis. This means lightweight but sturdy mechanicals and low cost. FKUCING YES! :metal:
  4. Damnit that's a great idea!!! I agree 100%. The Barracuda was a bettter looking car, wiht a better, longer and more rich & colorful history. Plus it could wear the Clipper ship as an homage to poor deceased Plymouth. Perhaps if the Challenger does well the Cuda will follow under the Chrysler banner? :)

Different Strokes for different folks. :) The '95-'99 Riviera and lastr gen. Park Ave both get a big A+ from me. Styling wise they were both AWSOME! Esp after the portholes. I did not mind them being FWD all that much because they were launched in an era when we had optimism that big RWD cars from GM were just around the corner. That perhaps the B-bodies were right on the cusp of returning. Now years later they do a complete redesign and launch a brand new optimistic (full) size car from Buick and it's a midsize front driver? Leaves me colder than a Witch's Teet. The LaCrosse is way too Camry with a Lexus Nose. :( BTW: there are people out there that hate the styling of the '66 Toronado? Prescription Glasses is all I can recomend.
  6. I hate Japanese cars because most of them are over rated turd buckets. The whole economic benefit to buying American is just icing on top of the cake. For what it's worth I think there's a better GM car for the price when anyone ever talks about any Japanese car value. For Instance: I love the Infiniti G35 but I'm not spending $30 for a nice RWD V6 car when I can have a Bitchin Pontiac GTO for the money with a V8. Most Japanese over priced four cylinder cars (Corollas, Civics, Sentras, Lancer etc.) are not as cool looking as the Cobalt. The Mazda RX8 is wicked cool and kind of exotic, but the Rotary engine is not worth all the extra money over a Solstice, and if money is no object then a Corvette embarasses anything the Japanese or Europeans can cook up. The Tahoe/Suburban and the rest of the GM full size SUVs are still the best value for the money IMHO. As far as pickup trucks go we all know the Japanese are still not runnig on all eight cylinders. Te point is if the typical person stopped assuming that GM cars suck and just gave them a chance they'd buy GM for a lot of reasons, the least of which being the economy.
  7. I still hate that name. Like I have said a million times, wiht the heretige Buick has they should use some of theuir classic car names, but on their cars. As far as these SUVs/Minivans/Crossovers I'm glad they're not tarnishing any old manes but for god's sake WTF call it Enclave? As far as the Lucerne it SHOULD have been called something else, not to mention it's Wrong Wheel Drive. *sigh*
  8. Wow, TED's got great taste! :) NIck: that blue customised widebody Pantera is awsome!
  9. BV: If I was going to import a JDM car and go through all taht B.S. & red tape it wouild have to be a Skyline GTR. Any Skyline GTR from the last 30 years or so. :) LA: You've good good taste. Alpine, Ford/Cosworth RS200 B) Nick: My parent's neighbor was selling a gorgeous early 90s 850 for like $33,000 and that was in 2000.

Anyone else see the snowflake commercial for the Lucerne? "windshield washer fluid heated to 147 degrees..." Wildcat: I appreciate your enthusiasm but how can the Lucerne even compare to this? Not even close, just its styling alone is in a whole other league.
  11. Sorry Josh, I just think sometimes we all collectively need a reminder that somewhere out there guys and girls who are not even old enough to buy alcohol are dying for their country. I did not mean to belittle Fischer's brush with death. That sucks, I'm only a fan of one sport: Hockey, and it stinks when this kind of thing happens. Hope he's okay.
  12. There's a wee bit of rust here and there but what saved this car was the spray-in sealant in the rocker panels and undercoateing. MOre often than not it did more harm then good. Remember that Rust Jones crap from the late 80s? But in this case they did it up right. :)
  13. Someone give this guy a job at GM and NOW!!!! :)
  14. Happy Birthday Buddy. Good luck with that G6. Maybe Santa will strong arm the appropriate people so you're driving it by New Year's eve. Just in time to have a plow/sander spray the front fascia and put 145,000 tiny rock chips in the paint. :P
  15. Wacky but still better than the real BuLl$h!.
  16. Wow, I hope all ends well. I hate to hear tragedy like this. Mean time dozens of our people are getting killed in Iraq every month. :(
  17. An old school Sunoco sticker? YES SIR, thatnkyou mayIhaveanother!? I'd love it, why don;t you PM me wiht your mailing address and I'll mail you a pre paid envelope and and a few silly trinkets in return. :)
  18. I loved this car as a kid, LOVED IT! One of the first 1:18th scale cars I ever bought was a Burgundy 850. These days I still admire them but I'm not obsessed anymore. The idea of a Hardtop form the 1990s does have me salvinating though. It was such a cool hardtop too... sleek and shark like. :)
  19. I like the 60, like the bullets on the 59's tailfins even more but love the double knife edge fins on the '61 & '62 the best. :)
  20. That's effin awsome!!!
  21. Yeah, I liked the action shot but the front was primer gray so I tinted it blue, let's just say it was less than effective.
  22. Sheme on you all for not including these two. :P http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/solstice06_09_1024.jpg
  23. Look at her sig. A SAAB 9000 with every damn Bell and whistle they make. Turbocharged engines are a whole other ball of wax. The Evo8, WRX-Sti, Lotus Elise and Neon SRT4 are cars that have four cylinder engines but are worth every penny to the enthusiast. (evenn though I'm not a huge fan of the Evo8's front wheel biased AWD system)
  24. So what Grand Ams are so pathetic that peole laugh at them? WTF si that supposed to mean? The Grand Am was an awsome car, esp. the last gen. I have owned a couple and sold a brand new 2002 GT1 to my parents when the rebates were really awsome. They got a really sleek looking Grand Am GT wiht 16" "chrome" rims and a big torquey V6 for less than a typical 4-cylinder Accord. The media never gave the Grand Am a chance and the "Ribs" were always ridiculed by the rags but I never thought a Bonneville fan would dump on ther Grand Am. <_< I certainly like the Alero too but to say one is different than the other is like saying the Sunbird GT is so much better than the Cavalier Z24. It's laughable.
