  1. Good! At least they don't like it, and I hate what this thing looks like.
  2. And of course Chrysler is going to be confident in their minivans. They invented the segment, and have dominated it since. Provided a decent interior and superior dynamics are part of the package as well as innovations (and more comfortable Stow n' Go seating) then Chrysler should do well enough. They did it first, they did it right. They ought to get it right again, it's only logical.
  3. Lol. That would end up quite amusing, but it looks smaller than a Pacifica to me.
  4. The new shifter looks like it would break if a draught ever came into the car. Too tiny and fragile in appearance. What's wrong with a sturdy, beefy lever?
  5. Depending on what it LOOKS like, I may be interested. I am just not a fan of BMWs in general. They don't (and never did to me) look that good especially in comparison with most Audis. The idea of a compact, rear-drive four cylinder car is almost a revelation in this day and age, and truly great if brought to practical result. I agree that Pontiac should definitely be on this playing field. If it looks anything like the G6 or GTO even, I would definitely go for it.
  6. Murder the 3 how exactly? No competitor launched yet has made serious inroads against the BMW to dethrone it from the "top" or whatever its sitting upon. If it murders anything, it'll be the Lexus IS or Infiniti G35. The IS is a weakling engine coupled with a manual or powerhouse plus automatic and doddering electronic overload, and the Infiniti, is well, a bit coarse yet and was quite close to being an "ideal" Japanese 3, but not quite. I am looking forward to see how this dynamic new (and admittedly bold of course) CTS plays against the other big boys from Bavaria (A4, C-Class) as well as those listed from the Land of the Rising Sun and of course the others like the Acura TL, SAAB 9-3 (haha- let's not go into RWD vs FWD in cars from the same mother ship), Volvo S60, and whatever else may exist.
  7. Thank you. I agree, driven normally, a diesel would probably beat a hybrid over half of the time. But, if it's a diesel hybrid involved, then that's another (and much rosier) story. *Edited to correctly capitalize "I" at the beginning of the second sentence.
  8. Great car bud! Just make sure to change oil frequently/keep an eye on it or use a synthetic. Don't want to have a sludge problem!
  9. Civic for reliability during those years, but I would go for the Neon because I hold a preference for Chryslers, and come on, they're so darn cute and chuckable.

  11. Naah. It's much better than the Aztek which once stumbled forth to make GM look silly.
  12. There is no back and forth. It all goes to the "D" unfortunately. Hopefully Chrysler facelifts/cans all of the recently introduced ugly quasis just introduced and gets back in form with cars of world-class beauty and presence. The Firepower makes so much more sense than something like the ME412.
  13. I was impressed though not surprised when I viewed this in the Detroit Free Press this afternoon.
  14. The grille alone is ugly. Badge size is okay. Headlamps and attention to detail are awesome. Gives me the same reaction as the current CTS, thanks, but I'll pass and take the STS with its better looking front end.
  15. I hope that the rest of the divisions and line ups shine more brightly and soon. Regarding the LX cars being untouchable, good.
  16. There's a 1980-something Mercedes-Benz 300SD at my local Chrysler dealership for around $4,000. I'd get it just because it's a turbodiesel.
  17. Bold is good, but beauty is better. Though more than likely, this will possess neither based on Chrysler's most recent introductions. But, I hold out hope.
  18. Is it not shaped like a partly chunked-to-bits-brick??? I'll sing the praises of Chrysler if they make it look good outside, and in. I don't care about the materials so much as it looking great.
  19. That is a good update on the front. I like it! Hopefully Chrysler will soon facelift the Sebring and kill the Compass.
  20. Definitely need more manual transmissions across the board. American automakers in general seem to shy away from them, when others continue to offer the choice. The black pic is better, but I can't wait to see it next month.
  21. Hehe. The only thing I associate hoary with is frost... as in hoar frost. This comes from my elementary years being fascinated with weather.
  22. Numbing.
  23. Alias.
  24. Pervert.
  25. Sadistic.
