  1. Thanks to Automobile Magazine This is a coupe version of the FWD Altima, and nothing more. I do like it. The styling and general presentation, but for some reason I don't care for the nameplate "Nissan". I'd rather have something like the Honda Accord Coupe, Pontiac G6 Coupe, or Chrysler Sebring Coupe simply because I like their names, or at least the appearance of said names when written better.
  2. That was hilarious. Without an owner's manual, I guarantee that I would probably be using more four letter words than that. What a great video!
  3. Except for the seats, I think this is quite radical and interesting.
  4. Well, then I retract the second half of my statement, but I still say it's average. I have no idea what is so great about this new Malibu. I'm far from crazy in my statement anyway. The Accord, Passat, Aura, and even the Camry have a better overall style. The new Passat's is modern and stylish, this Malibu is like they're trying too hard. I'll have to see it in person. Sure colours seem to have a bit to do with it, but to me, this looks just like the current Malibu's interior but with more cut lines, better vents, and the new black tie radio. Whoopty-do. Then my final judgement shall be laid down.
  5. Ugh. A Chinese automaker is the farthest thing from what Chrysler needs right now.
  6. Average. And this is a show car. The Aura show car had a great interior, but it was dumbed down just a bit for production reasons, and this Malibu will be no different.
  7. Thank goodness.
  8. Yuck. That car is so ugly. I would take the Sebring over this ANY day. That's saying a lot.
  9. I like the Nassau. It looks like it should be pretty good. Hopefully the production version is a shortened LX/LY and not the next 300. That'd be a good thing. Even if it was the next 300, it still looks good, but Chrysler could use more good looking, interesting, and bold products.
  10. Amen to that!
  11. Hmm. I didn't think this was actually coming yet. Last I knew, it was still rumoured. And, yuck. No thanks. I'll take a Caliber or something else.
  12. If this is for general retail (the public) then it's interesting. It could be that GM is planning to push DTS upmarket for the next generation. Either that, or it's a response of some sort to the LWB Chrysler 300's.
  13. Not only hints of Kia, but the centre stack of the Captive sure reminds me of the updated one in the Cadillac SRX regarding the shapes of things. And, did anyone notice the tone of the green illumination? That green IS very Korean, or Ford, if you like. American Chevrolets have more of an aqua green illumination combined with white/whitish numerals in the IP.
  14. You know Raven, the amazing thing is that you're right. Journalists complained that the last Sebring was "boring". I didn't think so. It was quite attractive (especially before the facelift). It was mainly the interior that let it down. The (relatively) low rear seat, but especially the interior materials. Not much better to possibly worse than the Cirrus/Stratus/Breeze triplets. The worse aspect of it for me were the plain door panels, hard, hollow sounding dash, and the way there was no effort to make the front door panels' design align and integrate with that of the dash itself. One of the things I definitely perferred in the first generation was the firmer ride along with the much weightier steering. I have driven both, and aside from great NVH in the first generation, I prefer them over the second generation cars. The convertible should prove to be interesting. This pastiche of design cues, and the choices of hard and soft tops, yikes. It may be quite frightening.
  15. Aleros seem to be quite popular with the young people in my area for on ereason or another. My friend John (whom I sometimes like to refer to as the first of two members of "The Fan Club") has a white sedan.
  16. That's just sick.
  17. Gee, I was planning on attending the "fitness activities area" at my college (CCS in Detroit) because it would be good for me, but, I seem to attract enough "unwanted attention" from BOTH parties, if you catch my drift.
  18. off the feet
  19. pickup truck
  20. As long as there is the engineering, design, and basic philosophies of Trollhatten, then SAAB is Swedish.
  21. I can't wait till we get this! And, I just discovered this on my own, but why is the Chevrolet Vectra the Astra sedan while the Opel Vectra is the Epsilon? That's so confusing!!!
  22. How in God's name could the Epsilons be too narrow for anyone other than a fat ass? Seems plenty wide to me, but I consider myself to be of the perfect size- 5'10", and 127 lbs.
  23. Hey Chrysler, fix the cars you've already got out there and coming. And, if you do an Imperial, make sure it doesn't look like this. It's God-awful. Nothing about it is attractive other than the name itself. Note to Chrysler: Build the Airflite or a 3-door PT before this terrible mess.
  24. Especially not when considering Chrysler's current state of sad affairs.
  25. If Chrysler had made the new Sebring cohesive, I'd like it more. Especially if it bore NO resemblance at all to the Airflite, and then Chrysler made THE Airflite. Now that's what Chrysler should have done. Made the real Airflite itself in addition to a very different Sebring.
