    PSA Next-Generation Models Are Being Enginnered With the U.S. In Mind

      It appears PSA Group taking the next step into their U.S. plans

    As PSA Group - parent company of Citroen, DS, and Peugeot - gradually makes moves into possibly selling vehicles into the U.S., they are taking the next step by engineering their next-generation vehicles to meet U.S. regulations.

    "That means that from three years down the road we'll be able to push the button, if we decide to do so, in terms of product compliance vis-a-vis the U.S. regulations," said PSA Group CEO Carlos Tavares to Automotive News.

    Tavares also said PSA has decided which of three brands will be the first appeared in the U.S., but it isn't ready to announce which one.

    They'll probably go with DS, but I wish they'd go with Citroen. 

    They won't go with either of the actual names because Americans can't be bothered to learn how to spell them or say them.   See also: Suzuki Kizashi.

    I really hope they learn some US design language as I find the Citroen, DS and Peugeot design language to be butt ugly! None of their auto's inspire me to want to own them. The picture above is just a Hideous CUV.

    The DS7 Crossback reminds me a bit of the previous Lexus RX...better front, though.

    I like the funky DS5 hatchback also.

    If they come, I hope they keep their funky French design language and don't dumb it down for Americans.  French cars are supposed to be quirky, strange w/ incomprehensible interior controls.

    To me both the DS Egg above the the Lincoln MKC Egg below are butt ugly and a waste of time. Been in the Lincoln and it is pathetic. What I see online is not much better. The DS7 looks like another generic CUV that we already have but with a weird to me interior.

    So pass, see much better options than those product lines are offering.

    This is what I LOVE about French cars.

    They do it their own way!

    I celebrate with 3 French songs that are funky! Just like their cars.

      Took a look at the details in the recommended setup from PSE (Puget Sound Energy) and they say the typical house uses 20 to 40 kW over night and then having a battery pack equal too plus 10% for EV charging. PSE is recommending a 150 kW battery pack of storage so that I would not pull from the grid. Tesla FAILURE, Promise, Promise, Promise, and never deliver. Roadster 2.0 with huge deposits and still no car. Tesla promised a Roadster with 0 - 60mph in 2.4 seconds. BYD, sexy as hell as they deliver this roadster sexy monster! 0-60mph under 2 seconds.       The 2009 Buick Lucerne is an absolute SLEEPER car, but $18,000 is a bit much. A better price for one of those bad boys is about $3,500-$9,000. The super is also a MUCH better package as it has everything a cxl has, but with a 290 hp v8

      It sounds like it all depends how big the storage is and how much you need to charge. It is possible you wouldn't have to pull from the grid though.

      I'm 14 and looking for a good year round car to drive that still has potential to go sideways when I floor it. I'm thinking something like a 2009 Buick lucerne super that I can turn into my own little project car. Does that sound like a good starter car? If not, any suggestions?
