Devil's night

Featured Replies

Mindless hooliganism. I remember seeing the burning houses on the news every year when I lived in Michigan.

On Long Island (and likely everywhere else), the hooligans would just egg, TP, and spray shaving cream on Halloween night, rather than the night before. And they don't pick any target in particular, either.

By comparison, Devil's Night sounds rather mundane.

Of all the crazy stuff people do around the world on

this night the Quebecians are the craziest and most

violant... those insane French-canadians. :P

In parts of Quebec, it is known as Mat Night, as stealing doormats was a common prank in earlier times.

In Detroit they set fire to houses.

Granted, that's pretty bad. I meant that egging "the house of the bully you hated" at least has some minute level of justification to it, rather than using the eggs for the purpose of bullying.
