  1. Keep 'em out. The last thing this country needs are more producuts that increase our trade deficit to China. Though, in honesty, I don't know a single person who would even want a Chinese car...at least right now. The same was said about the Japanese and Koreans.
  2. I've been around, but I'm posting more frequently lately.
  3. "Pontiac is car!" "The Fit is go!" "My tank is fight!" "I am America (and so can you)!" God help me, I love ridiculous word-play.
  4. el oh eh @ Whitey. Makes me wish I weren't Irish. Almost.
  5. Chevettes. My mom had one when I was just a little kid, but I have fond memories of it.
  6. Whatever, I don't care what happens to the Hummer brand as a whole anyway. They can cut the whole pointless gas-sucking line for all I care. Set up Pontiac with the offroaders to legitamately compete with Jeep. Its supposed to be the performance brand, might as well make it the offroading brand too. Hell, doing that might keep it around a little longer. The way things are going, that entire brand is probably going to see a massive sales drop off long before 2014.
  7. And if the Earth does become an uninhabitable wasteland devoid of human life, it'll be thanks to people like you with that mindset.
  8. I started playing trombone when I was in 6th grade and drums when I was in 8th grade. Kept up with both through high school, but I kind of quit trombone since I graduated and my drumset is currently in limbo...I decided to strip all the color off and stain the shells, sold all my older, more beginner-oriented equipment and now need at least $2,000 more to finish rebuilding it. Mainly for more cymbals ...those things are expensive.
  9. Not bad, but it reinforces my belief that GM should've killed the Outlook, put Traverse production over at Delta Township and used Spring Hill for something entirely different.
  10. Oh, hooray...another cheap grey interior from the Chrysler Corporation.
  11. FWD? Chery platform? Its like they're not even trying. This news makes me want to skip class this morning, drive down to Auburn Hills and let them know that everything they're doing right now is bad.
  12. I'm never going to a bar in Missouri if this gets passed, I guess. I can't imagine how staid and depressing those bars are going to become with all the fun sucked out of them. I have a friend in St. Louis, too. I wonder what he makes of this...?
  13. That's just inane. Its too big. WAY too big. I can't even imagine ever wanting a television that big.
  14. 1. Theoretical Ideal Candidate 2. Alan Augustson (69%) 3. Dennis Kucinich (69%) 4. Barack Obama (68%) Neat.
  15. Its actually disgusting how much people are paying attention to this.
  16. There's always a bad attitude about you whenever it comes to me. And yeah, you're right. The executive should've done what he was told, regardless of what I said. Of course, something like the width of the panel gaps really should have been taken care of during the product development. If all the bases weren't covered then, there are serious problems that need to be addressed. As far as the union members who don't do whatever until they're asked...in any job, especially one that would need a union, how much does the management bash the "do only what you're told and never question it" mantra into your head? Every job I've had (and I've never been in a union), has had that mentality to some extent, and I know the feeling exactly. Is it a good thing to do? Of course not, but I've felt that way before and so has every worker everywhere at some point. The feeling isn't just delegated to union members. And your claim that unions "frown" upon independant thinking based on "doing what they're told"...let me ask you this: Do you do what your told at YOUR job or do you just do whatever the hell you please? Because I know what would happen to me if I started doing what I wanted when I wanted at my job.
  17. "Gaps that are no more than 3MM wide," Lutz replied. "OK. I can do that," the executive replied. "Well, why didn't you do it before?" Lutz said. "Nobody asked." Really? Someone actually needed to be told "Hey, how's about trying to make it NOT look like crap"?
  18. Saw that coming from a mile away. My question is: is GM going to give Flint another product since that plant runs two production lines, or are they just going to shut the f@#king thing down like everything else in Flint? But judging by GM's recent track record, that factory will be closed as quickly as possible, sadly enough.
  19. Will someone please remind me why Saab's existance is justified?
  20. Looks a LOT like a Saab. It still looks good, probably better than the concept...but there's more than just a fleeting resemblance to Saab here.
  21. I was hoping they'd change it a little more than that, but it still looks great.
  22. If GM never existed, I'd be buying Buicks because without GM there to merge all those companies together, Buick would still be operating out of Flint. Chevrolet probably would never have existed because without GM, there was nothing to drive Durant to start the company in the first place.
