Nah, everything I read said the '95-97 first gen Neons had many problems, but all of these problems were ironed out for '98 and '99.

Friend's mother has a `00 Neon that has been problem free since she bought it in `01.

1st gen's i'd be iffy on though. I've heard horror stories from a different friend who used to have one before he bought a LeBaron. Dunno what year it was though.

They are fun to drive little cars. I test drove one when I was looking for my first car, but I'd never in a million years choose it over my Intrepid. :D

And the 98-99 were (somewhat )supposed to have avoided the headgasket isssue.....

Best running one I've seen so far was a 96....

The 00-02s can be fine if they are taken care of..but if slightly abused..well...

Though they are fun to drive...

Why stop when you can take a 40mph turn? :AH-HA_wink: :lol:
