The car isn't that bad minus the headlights, at least for what it is. They're trying TOOOO hard with that video, I mean they really went over the top. I can't tell if they're trying to market this vehicle to normal people or fashion models. Typical Toyota marketting, they're all about fads and it really pisses me off. I'm 21, I snowboard, I play guitar, and I listen to rock, alternative, and hip hop, and I wouldn't be caught dead in that car (although I don't own an iBook and iPod, maybe that's why?). I would take a 01-05 Civic Si over that POS anyday.

I agree with you on the marketing...they look like A&F models and the whole techie / yuppy image that they're trying to sell looks like something straight out of The Real World. They're trying too hard to be chic and contemporary to the point where it's annoying.

As for the car, I wouldn't be caught dead in it either. Subcompacts are not and never will be cool, no matter how many laptop / iPod fondling A&F models you put in there.

Most yuppies wouldn't be caught dead in a Toyota, but I don't think the techies would mind. I can understand the Yaris's appeal to The Real World-type people, but not A&F...

You don't get it? The joke was that yuppies drive Lexuses, even though it was funny briefly, it is kind of streotypical, cause I'm not a yuppie. I'm suprised our dickhead friend Swallowit hasn't replied to this thread.

Anyways, I think I'll agree with the consensus that Lexii ( :P ) are the only Toyotas a yuppie would drive. It just so happens I have a far off cousin to fit that description. I think she's living in NY or Philly. I forget. She has an IS. Fun car to drive, btw... but, yeah, she's someone I would call a yuppie. She's full of typical biased views and ignorance. You know the kind... However, her car really is fun to drive. I love previous IS's... :D
