We considered a couple condos, but ended up buying a house.

Still in Missouri, or did you move out of state?

Yeah, a house. The pros outweighed the cons, plus its only a couple miles from GMU's Arlington campus. Not really a suburb per se, but definitely not urban.

Way, way out of state. Arlington, VA, and moving halfway across the country is a huge pain in the ass. We both have professional obligations here that are dragging on, so its going to be a wicked game of back and forth. I'm going to drive my wifes car out there Tuesday and spend a couple of days alone in an empty house. She's going to finish whatever it is she has to do at work and fly out Thursday, the movers are going to be at the house Friday. Then Sunday I'm flying back to Springfield, giving a presentation on Monday then Tuesday driving my car out there. 10 days from now I'm going to wish I were dead.

Arlington, VA is a beautiful, expensive location. Welcome to the east coast! You'll like it, I'm sure.

Hahahaha oh man I can see so many future posts writing themselves, mocking the DC crowd. This is perfect!
