Name: Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible (1965)

Date Added: 02 June 2011 - 4:30 PM

Owner: Mjdecker

Short Description: Figured it was time to finally get a car that would be a fun project to learn off of and take out for a cruise on a nice sunny day and also something that's not too commonly seen. 283 with Powerglide.

Nice Find!

My dad's first car was a 1965 Impala SS vert with the 283/Powerglide combo as well... except his was Candy Apple Red, black interior and top.

Cool Mr. Decker! Mine was a red/red/black top '66, non-SS with 283/PG. I only kept it a short while and never registered it, drove it up and down the country roads a bit, tinkered on it, but ultimately realized it was too much of a project for me and sold it. I hope your story is more positive, best of luck with it.
