Frontier: the next Suzuki. Well, one of them anyway.

Number 2 of Japan's Big 3 is pairing up with Japan's biggest little car maker. This collaboration will involve Suzuki providing Nissan with minicars in Japan and Europe while Nissan gives Suzuki their Frontier midsize pickup to play with in the States.

Should do better than the Dakota/Raider. Oof.

Isn't Suzuki still under the GM umbrella?

What's the story there?

GM has sold most, if not all, of their holdings in Suzuki. In any case, their peak holdings in Suzuki was only 20%.

I think they still own something like 1.3%. It's really not much anymore, but they didn't sell all 20% IIRC.
