  1. I've moved into "Hot Daddy" status according to all the young gays. Oh well.... I'll take it.

  2. For both, it highly depends on which plant they come out of. VW's Chattanooga plant seems to do good work, every Passat I've driven has been very solid and well built. Their plant in Mexico, not as much.

  4. Nah, G-wagens are for going to Dairy Queen in Scottsdale. (True story--I was in the Dairy Queen drive thru in Scottsdale a few years ago---G-wagen AMG in front of me, one behind me with an SL AMG behind it...)

  5. When I was at Porsche Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca in 2011 and 2014 I recall many of the racecar haulers being Suburbans and Escalades. Same thing at the San Diego Coronado Festival of Speed (those were really fun events)...

  6. Same Model and year as my escalade but this is a very common site around the PNW.

  8. I have definitely seen Escalades and Navigators with car trailers at tracks. I would wager interior space is close to the top of the list. and 0-60 being a tenth or three is also low on the list. They're all quick enough to make passing a breeze.

  11. The AMG has a 7500 lb tow rating. So in fact, a GLS63 could probably tow a Navigator and go 0-60 faster than a Navigator can get itself from 0-60. As far as what ballers drive, it is this because it has side pipe exhaust: And it is body on frame and tows more than a Navigator. Some other towing capacities: Mercedes GLE: 7200 lbs Cadillac XT5: 3500 lbs Lincoln Nautilis: 3000 lbs Why are Lincoln and Cadillac so far behind if they are so focused on towing needs of Americans?

  12. GM is calling for Leadership in Zero Emissions Vehicles in the 21st century. https://www.gm.com/masthead-story/its-time-for-american-leadership-in-zero-emissions-vehicles.html Nice video, clearly GM is wanting to buck the trends of the oil companies and lead the auto industry into the future. To quote: We have a historic opportunity to make personal mobility safer, better and more sustainable. GM is calling for a National Zero Emission Vehicle program to move our country towards an all-electric, zero emissions future. Our ideas will conserve energy, reduce emissions and preserve the freedom that drives American innovation and industrial strength.

  13. This totally rocks, WOW, I actually like the chimes that are in the Aviator from the Detroit Symphony. 28 second into the video you hear one of the many different chimes that will be in this new CUV.

  14. I’m split on that. Because Ford cars do decent in Europe and Ford is well differentiated from VW. The Polo is simply not a Fiesta. The Focus is far more fun than the Golf. The Golf is more, Golf. The Transit is the best or nothing in terms of cargo vans. Electric vehicles I think Ford has the edge here too. They don’t have to produce nearly as many for compliance, and they have 300 mile plus crossovers in mind from the very beginning . I think Ford is eyeing Porsche’s 800KW charging tech.

  15. You show your ignorance with this section. The Escalade holds it's own, it does handle off road with no problems. I have taken in places most would never consider and still got back to paved city streets. .1 second is not noticeable by everyone. If the GLS is so superior it would outsell the Escalade. Yet this body on frame true full size SUV does hold its own and surpasses in that category you always point at. Sales!

  16. Shocker, SMK doesn't think a vehicle will do well that isn't German or Mercedes.
