Veloster sold 10K units in the US in 2018. Golf/ Golf GTI/ GOlf R32 only sold 41K. Camaro sold 51K. Do you think hyundai is pondering enlarging the Veloster, adding a V8 from the genesis, increasing the starting price by $8K and hope to get closer to the Camaro in sales? Or are they just "wondering why"?2 points

^ Well, they've already made the investment in the FE architecture - it certainly wouldn't need a complete re-engineering. IF Chevy is going only with the ME version I agree; it will lose a cornerstone of it's iconic image (not that it 'looks furrin'). IF the C8 is only ME, I guarantee sales will settle out markedly lower than currently. There's just not a lot of appeal in ME cars. - - - - - Much tighter overhang than typical for the genre :2 points

we needed a shakeup in Corvette land. This is going to stir the pot for awhile! Dfelt is right, it should help push C7 values up. Fence sitters, step up and get it or don't cry when its gone. I'm not always a fan of GM's ways under Mary, but I have a lot of respect for her, and just sayin, she's also ----attractive----. That'd be a hoot to co drive a new C8 together. WOOT GM needs this kind of shakeup, the Corvette is a great way to shake it up. I like the looks of it. This also opens up showroom space for the Camaro, which let's face it, is a front engine 2 seater anyways. what's the engine?????2 points

According to our DP, there is a Genesis AWD coupe coming. We just signed on to be the only Genesis dealer in SE PA, and he's seen it.1 point

Love how you are mixing the numbers up again as I talk US and you go to World Wide sales to attempt to Justify the numbers. US Sales Numbers C-Class 2018 sold 60,410 down from the 77,446 in 2017. http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/mercedes-benz/mercedes-benz-c-class/ CLA 2018 sold 22,556 up from 20,669 in 2017. http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/mercedes-benz/mercedes-benz-cla/ GLA 2018 sold 24,136 up from 24,104 in 2017 but just barely, stagnate most would say. http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/mercedes-benz/mercedes-benz-gla/ A-class 2018 sold ZERO in the US. Will be first year for this model in 2019. BUICK CUV's out sell the GLA each one beats it, seems plenty of other nice cars beat the C & A too. Toyota seems to have no problem doing this at those price points.1 point

I like the GLS styling..evolutionary, not revolutionary. Clean, uncluttered. Nice interior. They have G-class for those that want a bling wagen.1 point

Still hoping that the Sonic is just being transformed into a larger Cruze replacement. It has been profitable due to UAW arrangements in tiered wages. Probably the number one reason it wasn't canceled.. not to mention that it exists with several very profitable and desirable platform-mates called Trax and Encore. Personally I never understood why the EFF Chevy needed a Sonic sedan and a Cruze.1 point

That would be a different car, different architecture...I doubt if GM would be investing in two different Corvette architectures at once. It sounds like they are going all-in on mid-rear. It's a risky move. I'm sure they will lose a lot of long time customers that don't like mid-rear cars...but gain new customers. I can imagine a lot of the old farts griping that it looks like a 'fancy furrin' car''..1 point

Not much a departure from the current, but I think that is good. The interior is a big upgrade, that is where the current model seems dated. I like the sport front facia more than the standard, overall I think the exterior looks good, familiar but more modern. The interior with the back seat upgrade looks more the like S-class of SUVs. I assume the 48 volt I-6 is standard and the 4.0 V8 is optional. Who picked that green paint? They aren't going to sell many of those. Fun fact, they have another 3-row SUV debuting next week.1 point

I'm hoping it will be powered by either a two or four-rotor Wankel engine.1 point

Wish Cadillac would realize that not everyone wants normal chrome. Just think of a Platinum edition Escalade all in Black Chrome.1 point
