Still very cool what GM has created with their versatile battery cells. I am also curious to see what else they have done with the redesigned Bolt / Bolt EUV.3 points

You might have a point except for one simple little fact. The fact is that it could look like the most ground breaking design ever and you would still take a dump on it because of its power train. And we are just talking about a silhouette here and a CUV on top of that. ALL CUVs have that same basic profile much like how all pick ups basically have the same damn profile. It’s literally by design. How much more “groundbreaking” could it possibly be? Again, the design wouldn’t really matter anyway. You will never accept it. Stop trying to act like you are giving some kind of “objective” opinion here when your history suggests otherwise. Oh and I don’t know what you are talking about in regards to the stupid “tag team” remark. I don’t care what someone else does here and I am not bound by any of their posts, votes, or anything else for that matter. Stop being so thin skinned. And you missed that point by a mile. It wasn’t just about the Bolt. It’s your general disdain for EVs, even when they are AMERICAN companies. You bash them at every chance yet will bitch on other threads about buying American and America first. ’F” that.2 points

You mean the same design language used by just about everyone these days? Seriously, it is sad how someone always talks about "America first" and "buy American" when its convenient to them yet slams it at every turn because, oh my god, EVs. Troll somewhere the F else for once.2 points

All I know is, some ppl aren't complete morons. They know their colors. Green is the color of the diesel fuel filler nozzle.2 points

You've made your anti-diesel stance clear, but as far as the Silverado goes, the TD has significant build rate, out-producing both the 310 HP 2.7L I4 and the base 285HP 4.3L V6. It's on pace with the 5.3L V8, but the 5.3L DFM far outsells all of those others. Still, the 'baby DuraMax' has made significant inroads into the segment, even tho it's a brand new engine. I suspect, with higher ATPs and possibly more hauling than the SIlverado, that the Tahoe/Suburban might see even higher take rates. It gets leading edge mileage (23/30 in the Silvie), something appealing to long-haulers.2 points

Yeah, this was served by Enterprise though I rented through National. I always rented National because I was their super executive elite top tier renter since I typically had 50-60 rentals a year. I've always found Enterprise's customer service to be terrible, even here in the states, while National has always been exceptional and done everything possible to keep my business. My last rental with National back in March I had reserved a Malibu... I ended up in a brand new loaded X3 for the same price. Drove it to Florida and back for $260~. They lost money on that one.2 points

Interesting how someone will preach about buy America, bitch about an American company and yet also has bought multiple non-American auto's including his mother's auto. So much for supporting America.1 point

Pocket dialing is the pits. I've had a few random strange episodes with it. Perfect stuff for "Candid Camera" type skits, as in looking at your phone and thinking "WTF."1 point

Seen on Saturday ... what a treat to see one of these. I'm guessing this is a Thunderbird of 1994 to 1997 vintage, more or less. Not too shabby for a 25 year old car. A friend of mine had one in silver (with the V6) and a girl I knew had one in that metallic color that looked like a grapefruit (with a V8) that also had a sunroof. If I recall, these Thunderbirds came with a lot of standard equipment (almost all power options) and had a base model MSRP of around $17 K or thereabouts. They offered a good value. Ford used these aluminum alloy wheels for quite a while. Would this be pin striping ... or pimp striping? Regardless, you don't see it much anymore. Attractive rear tail lamp set up You rarely see comfortable cloth bucket seats like this anymore This generation of Thunderbird had the two big sweeps in the dash dialed ... and it looked good. I got to drive one of these one. It may have also been silver. It had the 4.6 SOHC V8. I had it on a trip to Vancouver, Canada. It performed beautifully, with enough power and plenty of smoothness, and was fairly good on gas. Who'd have thunk the 4.6 V8 would have powered FoMoCo's flagship cars going forward for quite a long time?1 point

Huh. Despite having fully 20" more wheelbase and being an EV, the R1T is WAY down on interior dimensions vs. a '20 Tahoe; 2" LESS head room 3.3" LESS leg room 6" LESS hip room What's the excuse there, I wonder?1 point

I don't think so, Tim. 5.3L is DOWN on power vs. the 3.0L : 383 TRQ vs. 460. 6.2L equals the TRQ, but requires premium and is only rated at 15/19 vs 23/30. Even tho the 3.0TD costs more up front, over the long run it'll save you money, it's equals the top engine's power, gets much better MPG and likely holds it's value better over time.1 point

Thought you all would like this Chevrolet Video release of a walk around of the all new 2021 Tahoe and Suburban. Great inside and out, they have really stepped up their game. I do wonder how many will go for the diesel, Thinking this is too little too late for diesel now. https://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/home.html 2021-Chevrolet-Tahoe-and-Suburban-Walkaround.mp41 point

Just double-checked, I have 21,480 miles on my truck now. Got it middle of July, 2019.1 point

I absolutely hated the C3 I had as a rental in South of France two years ago. It was manual transmission and not a diesel. Absolutely gutless and arduous to drive, especially in the mountains. No gear was ever the right gear. The interior was plasticy and felt very cheaply built. I was extra salty about it because I had reserved an Insignia, but they gave that away right before I got there and a C3 was a substantial downgrade. National/Enterprise ended up refunding $750+ dollars because I kicked up such a fuss. Sure I got most of my money back, but I still would have liked to have had a comfortable car for driving through the French Alps instead of that shitbox.1 point

Do not know who Tim is, but David is here. Yes, 5.3 is DOWN, but after market can boost it over and still be cheaper than the cost of diesel. 6.2 equals, yes and has the cost of Premium fuel. With the bulk of people NOT paying attention to details or learning about things, I really do not think Diesel and the added maintenance, cost and awareness will happen. I suspect we will see an up tick at first, but that will be about it. I also expect plenty of people to mess up and put regular gas into the diesel messing it up as they will not pay attention, same with the rest of the added maintenance of the Diesel. People want to do less not more in regards to their auto. Diesel fans will get what they want, but I do not expect it to win over regular gas users.-1 points

Saw GM's silhouette teaser photo of the Bolt EUV today. Utterly forgettable. Wait, what was I saying?-3 points

Are you guys becoming the new tag team to replace Fap Turbo and Blake Noble in here? Exactly. Which proves my point... it is dumber on Chevy's part to copy the silhouette of an obsolete Hyundai on a product that Barra wants SO BADLY to sell well, despite all odds against it!-3 points

How about... "F" no. If I want GM to be more than everyone else, I will say so. This silhouette photo is not the least bit groundbreaking, new, or remotely interesting. It is derivative, lazy, and copycat. Not a good look after all the empty promises Barra's made recently.-3 points
