  1. yeah, I have a very slight stutter. I record all of it in one take, but if I stutter during a paragraph I pause and reread/rerecord that paragraph until I get it right. So I'll have 2 or 3 tries at a paragraph in the recording. Then I go into Audacity and edit the audio to take out the pauses and bad paragraphs. There's definitely room for improvement, but I am happy with it as a first try.

  2. I ignored the cars. They're not my style. However, I like and am getting used to the new skyline of Lower Manhattan. Sooner than later, I want to go to the observatory at the top. I've gone to the upper level of the previous WTC twice - in 1984 and 1996. I've never been to the Empire State Building, but I've walked past it. The WTC site has a much nicer position, with views of the harbor, other boroughs, and more of the bridges. Also, downtown Manhattan can be really cool on an off-peak Sunday because it was surprisingly quiet. I've actually parked my Cutlass on or near Wall Street for free, walked to Battery Park, and boarded the Staten Island ferry, which is a great adventure in and of itself. It was also a relief from being at the house of my eccentric but brilliant NYU schooled chemist uncle, where the lodging was free. I've always found that NYers are goofier, funnier, more direct, and friendlier than one might think. OTOH, Chicagoans are defensive about their city and area to the point of coming across as insecure. You can have the Windy City. I got my hands on a National Geographic when I was a kid, and saw how all the boroughs are laid out, on islands, with water all around, and with topography and knew this city and metro area were a gem. Four out of five of NYC's boroughs are on islands. Only the Bronx is attached to the very bottom part of New York state.

  3. I, like you have never run out of gas, yet my daughter did all the time when in Highschool and college. Lucky me she has outgrown that, but your right we all know someone, a family member, friend, co-worker, etc. that to this day still runs out of gas for one reason or another. This is nothing to do as @surreal1272 pointed out about the powertrain, but responsibility in paying attention to when you need to refuel either ICE or EV.

  4. My first real attempt at this. Please be kind, but I can take constructive criticism. Youtube is still processing the HD4k version of this, so it will look pixelated until that process is done.

  5. I should have taken a picture I saw this morning of a stranded Trailblazer and a man behind it holding a gas can. True story. I am so sick and tired of the troll articles and posts about EVs running out of juice with a limited (overall) infrastructure support while gas powered cars still run out of gas literally across the street from a gas station (again, true story). Both are the result of simple driver error and have squat to do with the means of propulsion underneath the hood.

  6. The 2024 Ford Mustang is possibly the last new V8 powered American car. While Ford is still moving firmly into the EV age, they are bringing out what is possibly the last new V8-powered American car with the 2024 Ford Mustang. The Mustang's primary competition, the Challenger and Camaro, are likely going electric in the next iteration, while the Charger and 300C are the only sedans left with a V8 option under $90,000, and 2023 is their final model year. The Most Powerful Naturally Aspirated Coyote V8 Ever Recognizing that, Ford has made the Mustang GT's 5.0-liter V8 more powerful than ever. Horsepower numbers weren't released as of this writing, but Ford claims that it Coyote will be the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever in a Mustang. And it may just be your last chance to buy a new V8 car. The Mustang Ecoboost will also be offered with an all-new 2.3-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine for non-GT models. Again, Ford has not yet released power figures, but expect an increase over the 330 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque the current unit can produce on premium gas. Both engines can be paired with a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission regardless of the body style chosen. Both GT and Ecoboost models can be optioned with a Performance Pack that includes a front tower brace, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, and an additional optional MagneRide active suspension, wider tires and wheels, and larger Brembo brakes. Additionally, the GT Performance pack adds brake cooling ducts and an auxiliary engine oil cooler. Additional options for the GT Performance pack are available Recaro seats and active exhaust. When equipped with the manual transmission, the GT includes standard rev-matching that holds engine speed while the clutch is engaged to maintain peak torque between shifts. Drivers can now rev the engine without even being in their Mustang with a new Remote Rev feature on the keyfob. Flight Deck Interior The interior has been completely rethought with a new jet-fighter-inspired “flight deck”. The driver-oriented cockpit has two curved screen displays. Ford used video game 3D technology based on the Unreal Engine to develop the animation displays on the highly customizable 12.4-inch instrument cluster. The driver can optionally set the cluster to flow seamlessly into a 13.2-inch curved infotainment system featuring SYNC4. The new standard color theme inside is no longer the traditional light blue/light gray and has moved to a new copper theme. Settings can be adjusted by simply swiping and rotating the car on the display. Mustang EcoBoost comes standard with cloth seats with optional Micro Suede vinyl inserts. Premium models gain synth leather seats in several color options, while the GT gets leather inserts. Sync4 has Amazon Alexa built in, and is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Exterior Styling and Safety The 2024 Mustang will be available in 11 color options, three available wheel sizes and 3 colors of Brembo calipers when that option is selected. The EcoBoost and GT models each get unique front clips with the GT getting larger and more aggressive grille openings and hood vents. The Convertible body style remains with a compact top that can be activated with one touch. When stowed, the top leaves enough room in the trunk for two golf bags. All Mustang models come equipped with Ford Co-Pilot365, which includes Speed Sign Recognition, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Centering Assist, Evasive Steer Assist, and Reverse Brake Assist. Included in the Performance Package is Active Pothole Mitigation, which continuously monitors body inputs to soften the blow of a pothole. The all-new Mustang will be built in Ford's Flat Rock Assembly in Flat Rock, Michigan, and will go on sale Summer of 2023. 7. https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/ford-mustang-mach-e-sales-figures/ Year sold 2020 3 2021 27,140 2022 25,765 https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/ford-mustang-sales-figures/ Year sold 2005 160,975 2006 166,530 2007 134,626 2008 91,251 2009 66,623 2010 73,716 2011 70,438 2012 90,706 2013 77,186 2014 82,635 2015 122,349 2016 105,932 2017 81,866 2018 75,842 2019 72,489 2020 61,090 2021 52,384 2022 29,910 As one could see, in 2022, the EV version doesnt trail the coupe ICE version all that much. But all that is just useless talk. Truth be told. Its a WORLD WIDE THING. Electrics are being pushed by governments WORLD WIDE. NO automaker will be making ICE passed 2030 at the most. NONE of us HAVE a choice. The gasoline engine is gone. No, the gasoline engine wont even be available to be bought used probably after 2040 or something. You dont get it yet? WE DONT HAVE A CHOICE. Going to EVs is NON-NEGIOTABLE. WORLD WIDE DECISIONS But, as @David mentioned. Even though we and the automakers have no choice BUT to be all in EV, the market demand IS strong for EVs. Its just the anti-EV voice is loud and the same BS anti-EV rhetoric gets repeated over and over again and that is ALL we hear.

  8. This being the last of the combustion engined Mustangs, it would only make sense that Ford evolved the platform rather than give us an all new one. Let's be happy they actually spent money on heavily revising it rather than just mildly refreshing it. Knowing that no refreshes at all are on the table over at Dodge and Chevy for their last of the ICE pony cars before they go EV.

  9. Hence the black and white picture. It is from a village on a Greek island. @David mentioned living in thee woods. Im a city slicker so I dont like that lifestyle. However, I could give Greek island village a try. I have done it couple of months at a time when I was younger on vacay. I could eventually return to that kind of life IF it was like how my mom grew up. Which is not. Yeah, her growing up in that kind of poverty did suck and hence why many Greeks came over to North America, but her life had advantages that in 2022 we will NEVER see again. Clean air. Fresh fruit directly on the tree. etc.

  10. I posted that particular pic because of the contrast between the Freedom Tower, the surrounding buildings, the water and the cars. Not the brand of car, but the automobiles themselves. It was a nice picture to share. And like I said, the Freedom Tower on the day that I posted it was on the 12th. German cars have their place, obviously, but German cars are not my style either. Had I lived in Greece, a German car would probably be in my style to own and drive.

  11. I am on the exact same page. Initially, it comes off as more of a "Mid-cycle refreshed" vibe. Even the interior door handles and tunnel appear to be carryovers. The only real difference at first glance are vent shape changes and the large slab of screen across the dash, which is becoming par for the course. Not sure that design element works in a car like this but maybe seeing one in person will alter my thoughts on it.

  12. Nice Job Drew, your getting real good with the transitions and I only heard one glitch or noticeable catch in the audio change over between videos. Very informative and clear. Loved it. Thank you

  13. I watched this yesterday and I had to ask myself, whose voice is this? Is this your voice? Sorry for the awkward question, I've just never heard you talk! Hahaha. Just for the record, the voice wasn't bothersome in any way, I'm just curious. If I'm being picky, I'm not in love with the wing. Buuuuut, I do think I like everything else in this variation, especially that paint!

  14. That means it has to be north of 526hp, because of the GT350, right? I feel EXACTLY this. I'm just not sure but I'm leaking towards liking it..? While it doesn't exactly make any logical sense, I completely agree with you. It just "feels" like it should have an analog dash but, then again, the current mustang has an optional digital cluster already, doesn't it?

  16. The average gasoline car has a 300 mile range, and I don't know a single person that fills their tank every day, 7 days a week. And if you did, assuming a $70 fill up, 7 days a week, that's $490 a week, and $25,480 per year spent on gasoline, in which case it is all the more motivation to buy an EV.

  17. I gotta sit on this look for awhile. I dont know how I feel about it. Its butch. The face is very butch. Butch is usually good for muscle cars. I guess I got used to the more softer approach that Ford done with the Mustang since 2005. I honesty dont know how I feel. I kinda like it? Maybe? I dont like the rear. But I dont know how that makes me feel about it on this final V8 car that is the Mustang. Maybe I also like it? I dont like the TV screen dash, that is for sure. Hate it even. But knowing that the Coyote gets a very big boost in horses and in torques and the way it sounds, I could live with the TV screen dash.

  19. Ran out? Anyway... Those poor bastards. This is fun of talking about whataboutisms... I got my own... What about the Hellcat that outran the cops but ran out of gas? https://www.motorious.com/articles/news/hellcat-outruns-the-cops/ Not once, but twice... The article above happened in Michigan. The following video clip happened in Houston The baddies were forced to ditch the thirsty Kitty. At least the minors were able to push theirs to an outlet... Maybe instead of whining about it, doncha think its actually time to make the electrical infrastructure ready? What resource is this? Your tele-evangelical way of cryptic talk of being anti-EV aint working. It never did. But you go back at it bruh!

  20. @oldshurst442 Glad you like it, I have been once, more than enough for my lifetime. Not really a city person, so could care less if a second one ever gets built. Though with that statement, I would have to say that I have never understood the attraction to dense city living. Rather live in the woods, but the wife likes her shopping mall and so suburban living on a 1/3rd of an acre lot size is for me. At least I have space.

  21. LOL Im not invested in the Royals to give you an answer back. Oh....I do have rebuttals, but I dont give a shyte about them. I aint wasting my time for them. My country wants to make a national holiday to mourn the Queen's death on her burial to which I BEG that we dont have to. (Yeah....Id rather go to work, not sell a single french fry and lose money on that day than be forced to celebrate and mourn a royal.) The government wants all the Provinces to agree to that though. Thank the Lord I happen to live in Quebec and it wont matter if English Canada votes yes to a national mourn/holiday as Quebec doesnt give a shyte about British Royalty. It didnt have to be done better. It just had to be done. And be done quickly. And it was done quickly despite all the possible entities being involved that had their own agendas. And Im happy the Freedom Tower itself and the other WTC buildings didnt have ANY resemblance of remembering or commemorating the fallen Twin Towers like the first proposals. Im glad the Freedom Tower is a big block of pure American Skyscraper looking tall and solid like a big American athlete/boxer with its chest puffed up saying to all that were involved in those terrorist attacks, phoque you, I was down, but know Im up and stronger than before. And Im here to represent Liberty and Freedom that much louder! WTC 2 is yet to be decided upon and obviously built. But there is a skyscraper void in the skyline. I cant wait for it to rise up! The memorial is great that a building(s) built to remind us that twin towers once stood there would keep the skyline as a permanent visual scar and not propel New Yorkers and all Americans to stand proud and strong. Only to always see a scar and continue to weep. The triangular facets are very imposing and the sunlight highlights them when the rays hit them. Just my opinion. BTW, it took a decade plus, as I have read in some sources, before anybody and especially New Yorkers to warm up to the Twin Towers.

  22. Went to two concerts this weekend--The Fixx Friday night in Kent, and Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band in Pittsburgh last night. Great shows...lots of songs I grew up listening to in the 80s... Starr's band included Steve Luthaker of Toto (did 'Rosanna', 'Africa', 'All the Way'), Colin Hay of Men at Work (did 'Down Under, Overkill, Who Can it Be Now'), Edgar Winter, and others....lots of fun... lots of driving also. The gridlocked traffic after the show getting out of downtown Pittsburgh was tedious last night.
