  1. An idea for a "What's My Line?" (was a TV game show) occupation: Great White shark tagger

  2. This one is a rat bastard to change. There isn't enough clearance to get the housing out because you bump the thermostat housing. I have to almost take the carb off (4 bolts plus choke heater) to slide it back enough to remove the fuel filter housing. I had to replace the housing because the threads were damaged on the old one and I needed new gaskets. The whole kit was like $18.

  4. Idiot47 is bragging about his Japan Trade Deal and yet we go from 10% tariffs to 15% tariffs as Japan avoids the 25% tariff Idiot47 threatened and yet his win is an increase in taxation against Americans having to pay more for the Auto's they will export to the US. https://www.cnn.com/2025/07/22/business/japan-trade-agreement-us https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-japan-trade-deal-1.7591682 Reaction to US trade deal with Japan | Reuters So we get Japan made auto's with 15% tariffs and our own auto companies have to pay 25% for parts / autos from Canada and Mexico and us Americans have to pay 15% tariff on anything from Japan versus the original 10% that was in place. Plus Idiot47 says Japan will open up their market to our US autos. Hello McFly, thay already had it open to us, but our auto's are too big for the roads in Japan and especially the cities. There is a reason they have Micro Trucks and cars. Japan needs Kei Trucks, not 1 ton dually American Trucks.

  6. That's where your Windows Updates are being stored. If you're going from 10 to 11, Windows just treats that like a really huge Windows update. 11 sucked when it first came out, but for the last year they've fixed it up enough that it runs better than 10 now.

  9. Yeah, I was changing the fuel filter on the toronado along with the fuel filter housing (the bright new brass piece) and the wrench slipped and I snapped the old brass tubing.

  10. Right now many companies are eating the tariff which is just stupid, they need to accept this tax and pass it on showing that Idiot47 is the moron and the other countries are NOT the ones paying this tax. This on the car?

  11. The S sedan has attractive lines, though long in the tooth. All their other products are not attractive. Tesla aficionados and apologists are also much like a cult.

  12. Yep, and not going to change. I live near the largest auto auction house in Ohio, see a bunch going in on car carriers. Dealers must be wholesaling them out and off the lot.

  13. I am not bothered by it. The cockroaches in the corner by the booth I am in, pee all over the bathroom floor, and bland food usually are a turn off. I like small independent restaurants, but trying them is like playing the lottery. The short answer is yes, I can answer that in one word. "YES" Having been to Japan twice, I agree.

  14. One big irritant is when you go into a folksy diner and they ask you, "What are you drinking?" before your butt is on a chair and before you've been handed a menu. Usually, when this happens, the staff is also rough around the edges.

  15. Check this out as they were spot on during the first administration and I worry for all about this fall and going into next year. I suspect things are going to get very ugly as the incompetance of the current administration will show. The BOOMERS will get their golden age of destruction. Tallying the two channels of job losses from tariffs | Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis I could not tell anyone unless they just had to buy an auto to buy right now, I suspect that by the end of the year we will see everyone much cheaper due to the incompetence and job losses that are happening now. Hertz screwed me over about 10 years ago or so and it was such a mess, that by the time they made it right, I had sworn off them. I now use Enterprise and have never had the problems Hertz gives.
