  1. I missed part 1, out of simply forgetting it was on. But it's in Lost's time slot anyway, and nothing overtakes a new episode of that. Networks should know better than to schedule shows against appointment hits, even if we are in a DVR world.
  2. I mean, hey, they did it before with the zillion full-size Chevys used in Live And Let Die...
  3. Damn.....poor DeSoto went away from what made them famous....I was looking at a pic on allpar with a DeSoto Cab Dakota, and there was a car that had nothing Chrysler about its roofline sitting next to it (seemed quite Camcordish)... But I didn't expect anyone to have gone to the LXes yet, because those things are pretty expensive for fleet duty....
  4. (still) up for the LA Auto Show meet...who's in so far? reply to the post with this quote and say "me"
  5. Packed afternoon... -first Mazdaspeed6 -first Lincoln Zephyr -interesting Lancia coupe -Vega FB -75 Bonneville 2-door sedan -80 Datsun 510 5-door -83 LeSabre 2-door -76 MC -76 Cutlass Supreme -2 Ridgelines -orange 73 Satellite -67 Nova coupe -82 Imperial -05 Montego -72 Gran Torino 4-door
  6. -G6 coupe in green (driven by an old lady, no less) -Cobalt SS -51 Chevy truck -80s M6 -periwinkle New Beetle with a "circle-53" sticker on the hood like Herbie -G6 4-door with panoramic roof.
  7. If you can afford European maintenance, how about a Corrado? Dare I suggest a Probe GT? Beautiful body, real throaty V-6, quite fun. Prelude and Integra are good choices also. You don't seem too interested in passengers, so I'll stop there.
  8. Saw my first 06 Grand Vitara.....looks VERY Japanese...
  9. Does San Francisco's DeSoto Cab company use LXes up there? Magnum, Charger, 300, anything? Or are they still pushing old Dynasties and early Intrepids?
  10. Probably some great parts chilling in those cars...though I can imagine the engine-related stuff has long seized.
  11. Make it lower and kill the (heavy- and obvious-looking) eyelids and I'd feel it...it's clean though.
  12. Well, I guess it's a mater of perception with me....one model can lift the whole line...two defenitely keeps one from saying the whole range is crap. Because hell, following your logic, one could say base F-bodies and Mustangs kill the whole line... BTW, I wasn't saying I liked the name Sentra.
  13. Looks like a 6000 SUX.... More to the point, it seems to have been the inspiraton for the first Valiant.
  14. I've all but sworn off hard stuff for good....the taste and feel of it going down is just too much for me. Perfect Rob Roys, Long Islands, and a good martini are all still the business, if they're free...but for my money, beer or sweet wine is straight with me. Back when I could blaze, I was more of a weed person myself....nothing gets a group of folks together like having a gang of spliffs rolled at the coffee table while the playoffs are on...
  15. WEHT the advertiser search? Even if it takes those "flick the roach, win a free PSP" things to take that burden off you, I'd figure it's worth it.
  16. Now, hold on, man....are you that full of not liking anything that isn't your Olds Aurora to gloss over the existence of the Evolution versions? Hell, I even like the RalliArt models. I'll tell you what does fit this list, however....the name/cars Lancer replaced here (the throwaway Mirage)...those and Sentras were downright tinny compacts.
  17. It's been a long time since I've seen an Audi GT coupe.
  18. Unless she sounded completely serious when she answered your last part with the question, she easily might have figured you were going on a cruise.
  19. Yeah, modern alloy wheels don't work with vinyl tops or whitewall tires.
  20. Do you mean the X/H cars of the 70s, or the 80s X/J's?
  21. Even worse, the car itself was ruined for North Americans by being assembled in Korea, as opposed to Europe where it originated.
  22. People who use that kind of slang actually WOULDN'T like that car....
  23. Only in the city are most things within walking distance (like, uh, ladies)....and you can do things like go to live tapings of national TV shows! But really, you guys sound like some sociopaths talking about smashing cars and shooting up stuff....
  24. Except for the idiots who work at auto related businesses, one can't really fault folks who aren't absolute car nuts for not knowing cars....people were born not to know.
  25. It's for oldsters, pimps, and those who can't let go of the 70s.... Why does Cadillac have to get saddled with people making the cars look like this? This is probably what stays Caddy's hand from building any 2-door coupes.
