  1. What the hell do you even check for, is what I wonder....what do you actually notice? You don't see one 50s or 60s or 70s vehicle? No sports cars? Not one top line piece or a Euro something something? Do people drive nothing but Grand Ams, Impalas, Camcords, and F-150s in that town? Where is Brookville anyway, is that in the dead middle of the state? Not here to bust your balls or start the next great C&G beef, it's just somethign I've wondered for a long time...
  2. Aint that much to talk about anywhere online. I just check forums I already subscribed to (when I get the E-mail) and those of interest to me. Beyond that, I've exhausted most of my car talk. How some of you got to 1000 posts so quick is beyond me.
  3. BTW, for those that like underground music, peep the stuff on my man's site and appreciate my taste. http://www.rappersiknow.com/media It's not all rap, but it's definitely all soulful. I recommend cuts by J. Sands, John Robinson, J-Davey, Flow Factory, Deloach, and Oddisee, among others.... As far as my tastes, I'm Hip-Hop, soul, 80s anything, SOME rock, and a little electronica....
  4. Yeah, if its ONLY good is for when the chicks hit the dancefloor, chances are it's a song I don't feel outside of such a scenario. I'll acknowledge the broads going ape in that setting, but listening to it in the whip or at home isn't gonna happen...
  5. This post is simply to note that Morgan I saw on Sunday.

    So...

Kinda reminds you of "some of my best friends are Black"...
  7. Nice to know the review that disses the car is the one everyone responds to....in agreement at that.

    So...

I think this comes from folks around here believing the only sixes that should go in cars are V-6es. Though I also think many forget the Atlases even exist, let alone that they're worth using beyond the Colorado and Trailblazer.
  9. Really though....for me, it's bad enough I saw a lot of you guys' faces in that Pictures thread....
  10. Same problems right now with the GTO, 68....

  12. You mean right to left. Here in the U.S., we drive our left hand drive cars on the right side of the road. Countries with British influence drive their right hand drive cars on the left side of the road. Driving on the right side of the road is supposed to be French influenced.
  13. So what do YOU guys think?

    So...

For the record, the buying public at large could give two S'es about chassis construction, drive wheels, how much horsepower it makes, and the like. They care about size, looks, image, fuel economy, and creature comforts. A BMW could be a 120-horse carburetted BOF retro-mobile and they'd buy it because the roundel is on the hood, whereas Kia could build a 400-horse GT priced under 30K with the highest quality of any car ever built and a Pininfarina styled body, and people would still pass just because it's a Kia. Really, only nerds like us really care or know the deal. And as long as I ain't involved, I could give two turds who doesn't get along.....

    So...

Gotta remember, Nick, in the eyes of some of our panel, it don't count if it ain't American.... Add the Mercedes CL to the list as well...
  16. Ditto. But yeah, if she just threw the number at you like that, Shan, just take it as some thru-the-week draws that are yours to lose. Just keep a box of jim hats ready and at worst you got a one night stand, at best a buddy for until you pull wifey (which you're more likely to find at school, church, on the commute, or shopping)
  17. BTW, you should see the length of the R's hood....definitely nothing you'd find on a minivan, not even that long on many cars of today.
  18. I sat in one today. There's nothing minivan about it, and I know minivan is derogatory term these days. I look at it more like a companion to the S-class. I think the bling-cruiser crowd will get on this quite heavily, as well as a lot of rich parents. This is more what the average person needs, certainly way quicker than an SUV...in my mind, if Cadillac offered a lowered SRX, you'd have the R's competitor. Buick should build something like it too. But for the price, I'd drive one in a heartbeat...thsi could easily be a hit.
  19. Probably did what they had to for safety regulations.
  20. -Maybach 62 -Mercury Montclair (the sedan with the slide-down rear window (I wonder if that meant the windows of the rear doors couldn't roll down?) -quite a few CTS-Vs.

    So...

BTW, Fly, I think the 58-60 Lincoln could make for a decent cruiser. Enough weird elements in the body to try different things with, plus big cars are always great for shaggin' chicks.

    So...

Nice to know someone agrees. Maybe as a Buick.
  23. I hate that generation of Riv. The first one was only OK because the electronics were thrown in it. Give me a 63-65 or 67 with luxury Recaros (in the consoled cars, that is), 20s, airbag suspension, and then we're talkin' a great cruiser. 77-78 might be acceptable with me too...
  24. I'm only concerned with the fastest Pontiac car, not the fastest Pontiac-ENGINED car. There's only three or four divisions that seem to have their name on engines anymore, if all of them aren't now simply plain old GM engines. Whether or not it had a Pontiac engine matters with me only on pre-1981 cars. Why did GM take engine development away from the divisions anyway? (I really hope this question doesn't take away from us debating the fastest Pontiac car)
  25. Altimas are rear-drive now?
