All nasty, but the last two are especially foul things to do to someone.

Just wondering, since I seem to see a lot of Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, and BMW fans here mixed in with us GM guys. I also wonder what draws some of the non-GM types here.

I've shagged up chicks in every car I've had from the back of the Integra to rented Corollas. The best type of car IMO is a full-size with bench seats front and rear....great datemobile. Makes me mad the LeMans can't move and that I have to sell it, because that was ideal for intercourse and especuially other things.

Looks like a human would just ooze into the various crevices of that thing. You may as well jump right of a cliff with no parachute.

I don't think Chevy, and to a further extent GM's top brass, gives a crap about stepping on the toes of the other divisions. Chevy is the star division at GM, the everything division, and it feels it needs to shine at the expense of all others, now including Opel and Vauxhall...
 Bigger? ...If bigger than the Legacy means bigger than the current G6, I disagree. Width and track would be fine, however. But the G6 is the perfect size as it is.
When you become a grown man, you'll see what I'm talking about. It doesn't have to be a full-fledged big car, just given a couple of more inches to actually become something meaty. It's more important that the roofline is broken out and different shaped front seatbacks are used moreso than actually making a longer car. No Pontiac has to be a family car, but it should be able to seat four six-footers comfortably.
I think a 170-190hp I4 as a base with a turbocharged version optional. However, this is only if it loses weight. At it's current 3500lbs... a non-turbo I4 is unacceptable. Above those engines should be the 2.8L turbo V6 as well as a 3.6L turbo V6.
I think it's time to leave the fours to compacts.
Leave the roofline alone.
As addressed earlier, the roofline is part of the room problem.
No wagon... I'm not against wagons, but leave it for a larger or smaller vehicle.
The intermediate segment is as good a place as any for a wagon.
And fastback sedan? What the hell does that mean? Compared to most sedans, the current sedan isn't very notchback like... and I like it just the way it is. It's perfect. So if you mean fastback like the coupe... I'm going to have to disagree. Even the coupe is way too fastback like, IMO.
I mean a 5-door. And I also think this current coupoe could have been a 3-door with that shape. BTW, if the G6 is so perfect, is that the car you want right now?
Standard? ...Okay, I can deal with that, but I think it may be a bit expensive.
Doesn't seem to cost that much at Subaru.
If you mean that the GTO would get it's own styling and stays RWD... Maybe.
If you mean "own styling," as in a touch of something else added here and there like the M3 or the GTOs of yesterday, that's my idea. A completely different stand-alone car doesn't say GTO, it says exotic, and that kind of car may as well get a different name. It also says higher insurance rates.
As for the name... No, no, no, no, no. Grand Am. I'm already pissed enough about it not being on the G6. And you can't bring up its image since LeMans is an Opel/Deawoo hatchback and Tempest is Corsica sedan. So don't bother.[post="16874"][/post]
They could call it Beaumont or Acadian for all I give a crap, as long as they get it right.

 Only in Canada....

Sometimes, differentiation is good. Especially with too many folks thinking of Chevy versions as the basis of everything else GM makes. Pontiac, for one, should definitely want to get away from that.

This topic is gettin' work this morning.
-
You seem like too much of a Chrysler guy to be on a GM site.
-
Yeah, the main problem is the acronym is simply clumsy to pronounce...and probably was better saved for a sports car of some sort.
-
Yeah, maybe they could change it to, oh, I don't know, REGAL?!? I know they simply felt the need to consolidate Regal and Century. But Regal has long been a great car, and the last GS was the best since the Grand National, which itself was the best since the 76 model.
-
When i was at the dealer yesterday, I definitely got to see where this coupe has its sexy profiles. But to clean up the back, it definitely could use a racier spoiler. It's too sedate in the back, as if they're trying to be the next secretaries' car.

Is GM like Ford, in which a division has the option to deviate away from what the rest of the company is using platformwise? Like when Ford USA stuck to using C170 out here instead of switching to the new Focus chassis used under the Mazda3 and Volvo S40....or Chevy never using the H-body, instead using the W-body for the Impala. My thought was that Pontiac should use worldwide partner Subaru's Legacy platform for the G6's replacement, if the Epsilon II doesn't get the promised AWD. But of course, unlike the Saab 9-2X's use of the WRX's whole body aft of the nose, Pontiac would style its own body, and maybe even be a bit bigger. Is there flexibility for longitudinal engine mounting, and/or to use a V- or straight-configured piston engine instead of the flat-4 used in Subarus? I think this next Pontiac should use the HF or Atlas 5 for its base, instead of fours of any kind. The roofline should be pulled up and back enough to clear adult back seat passengers. There should be a wagon, coupe, and fastback sedan instead of the typical notchback 4-door. The AWD should be standard (satisfying snobs of both drivelines). This should be the carline the GTO moves into, where it belongs, so for the musclecar snobs, the V-8 engine capability should be engineered in. Beyond that, the car itself can be called G6, Tempest, or LeMans. Flame away, because I know someone's not going to like the idea.

I'm gonna keep this in the thread, and hopes it gets the answer attention, while not being taken the wrong way: Seriously...how did so many gay guys end up on the same car forum? Is it simply that gay guys like cars more than hets would think? Or are gay guys recommending this site to other gay guys? Is liking cars homoerotic (half-joking)? Is there anything about the car hobby a gay man finds virtue in, or is it simply a matter of liking cars and happening to be gay? Like I said, it's not a joke and I hope it's not taken the wrong way....just wanting to learn here.

Shouldn't this be in the Chevy section? I stopped at the dealer yesterday....it looks as if you can get the SS-SC's wing on base models (but not the front end of course, and that's good for SS-SC owners) One thing needs to be said however: They bettr have the '09 redesign already ready already, as well as the '07 mid-cycle refresh....because the current design packs potential to get old and become the next Cavalier in a lot faster time.

Like I said in another thread, the level of hate on the board overall has gotten pretty heavy in general...
-
I wouldn't sweat it, Croc, as it seems like many on this board have turned the hate volume up pretty high since the new board came online.
-
Yeah, that song got me a little more into Paul Wall, when I simply didn't know who he even was, let alone feel him.
-
That's just ugly, stupid, and ridiculous. Why not build a car to actually fit everything under its body? You should see the ones built by those who take their Hondas more sriously.
-
Los Angeles isn't that much of a white trash city...but I was just thinking Taurus, because it was the closest I could get to a big-enough family car that's cheap, able to be fixed anywhere, and could otherwise be treated like crap. If it was on the list, I'd have way quicker said front-drive A-body. But really, white people out here, trash or not, drive pretty much anything. I guess I just don't analyze whites very well anymore (besides seeing their youngstas liking to wear tight, grungy skater stuff)
-
The PT Cruiser isn't even MARKETED to youth...most of who I see driving it skew the age of a 90s CBS watcher
-
You know why? The Civic is really sedate compared to the Astras, 206es, Golfs, and Meganes they have to choose from. Plus youngstas would likely buy even smaller cars or something older. Honda is an old man's brand out there. Even in Japan, the tuner crowd will more likely grip a Toyota or Nissan....Honda's boy racer image came from thin air in this country.
-
Buick and Olds in general just screamed senior citizen's brand in these days and times. It's like the car you grip when a Cadillac is too expensive or obnoxious. Before the '92 came out (where it then just became a woman's car), the Camry to me was a Korean parent's car, because I saw so many family-age Koreans driving them.....
