    Yay, you found a talent!
  3. The suspension and accompanying packaging issues will hold the T900s back. Why GM didn't upgrade that is just beyond me. I've noticed a trend with these comparisons: When it's Tahoe v. Expedition, Expedition wins on account of the 3rd row. When it's Suburban v. Expedition EL, Suburban wins.
  4. I don't think buildings with peeling paint exist in Newport...so I'll concur on San Jose.
  5. Do you really think the old figures will be that impressive?
  6. Ummmmmm I drove the Lucerne with the 3.8 and found power to be lacking as well as it being a pretty thrashy, unrefined engine. If you have sentimental value towards that hoary old pushrod I cannot help you...but compared to the competition the 3.8 is very lacking. As for the Enclave, it just LOOKS like plastic. And since it's in a place most GMs (and all Buicks) cheap out on, and given that its platform mates have plastic there...yea I'm calling plastic. At the very least it's a problem since it LOOKS like plastic. If it's a higher grade material, it shouldn't look like plastic. If you want to nit-pick my opinion, whatever, the BIG PICTURE is that I feel the interior was cheapened too much from the concept, especially since Lutz said the leather dash/stack would stay. And that sure doesn't look like a leather dash/stack!
  7. Dude, grow up.
  8. Around the controls is all metallic-look plastic...but it is designed in a way that the dash itself and the sides of the console are squishy, not the hard plastic GM uses.
  9. Yea, gotta agree with Fly here...that was a really low, uncalled-for blow. Shame!
  10. I can always tell the difference...and again, GM should make a no-excuses vehicle. This one is 80% there and I like it a lot, but not enough to call it "truly world-class."
  11. I'd have it priced competitively with the RX330 and MDX. They have real wood and squishy center stacks. And yes, the Enclave has the same plastic as the other Lambdas. Why else would it have the same seam as the Outlook at the base of the stack/front of console? It looks fine and all, but compared to the concept it's a definite downgrade. And as for wood...the 2001 Aurora had real wood and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Enclave is a luxury vehicle...therefore it needs real wood.
  12. It won't happen anytime soon...
  13. Have you seen it in person? Nope, didn't think so... PS I voted 4 too, but for a reason with substance: The center stack downgrade from leather and real wood to plastic and plood is unacceptable. GM should have made the stack squishy.
  14. The government just doesn't get it...
  15. Ven, is that speculation, or do you have insider knowledge to back that up? I thought Pontiac's future was looking more secure...
  16. I know several mainstream Christian sects that hold speaking in tongues to be valid, though most congregations do not speak in tongues. I don't know if one can say most Christians believe it stopped, since a good majority of mainstream Christians probably haven't given it much thought in the first place.
  17. No, because anyone with a passing knowledge of the Catechism of the Catholic Church would know that one can BE gay and Catholic, just asked to remain celibate. That's the doctrine, and it dates back to the 1970s.
  18. Bout time they figured out how to make the interior not look like $h!...
  19. For truth and emphasis.
  20. I guess Saturn would get the trucklet if to compete with Honda, but I'd really rather see this go to GMC.
  21. razoredge, you make some interesting points. The only one I will comment on is your #3: My old friend Erika is a lesbian, and she says she's been attracted to girls since Kindergarten. She used to wanna pet and play with all the other girls' hair and would always get scolded over it...yet says she never really understood why her teacher said it was wrong because it felt so natural to her. It happens at young ages...
  22. Where did it blame it all on Christianity? I remember it equally blaming all religions. The only times she even mentions Christianity is in a song title "Onward Christian Soldiers" and when she says O'Reilly wants children to go to church and be Christians...and I think that claim would be hard to dispute. Eh...I don't really see it. It isn't like they are gaining anything from her video. Frankly, I see this as no different than a child picking up on any parents' views and spouting them off.I thought I was a Republican until college because my family was. I think Clinton was one of the greatest Presidents of the 20th century, but back in 1998 I could have given a very convincing argument of why he should have been removed from office...because I heard it from my dad. Heck, even in preschool I could go on for minutes as to why Debbie Gibson was better than Tiffany because I overheard my dad talking about it to one of his friends back in 1989!! I was THREE! The most obvious example I could use is stuff like from Jesus Camp, but I would prefer to avoid the religious indoctrination aspect of parents shaping children's opinions.
  23. There's some band I just heard of called Dangerous Muse...if you like The Killers, Depeche Mode or New Order you'll love these guys. Great synthesizers...
