  1. Before discounts LTZ with I-6 Dmax is $58k, HC with Dmax $60k-$62k and fully loaded HC with 6.2L and everything are pushing $67K. Remember the I-6 Dmax is a $2,500 option. I know it's crazy!
  2. "Mud & Sand"...more like "Water & Puddles" for city dwellers
  3. Dude, that's a pretty well equipped new truck though. So $50k+ that isn't bad when the new Sierra Denali's are $68k-$75k. 22's are still spendy wheels and if factory 22's you can basically double the price of aftermarket ones.
  4. Right now, fossil fuels, namely gasoline and diesel, are still the easiest, quickest way to fuel up your vehicle. Comparably sized ICE vehicles are still much less expensive up front than a BEV counterpart. Li-ion battery technology has gotten much better and costs continue to come down, but they still need some work. EVSE Infrastructure is also still not where it needs to be and it hasn't changed a whole lot from 5 years ago when I was with Blink Network (an EVSE Manf. and Distributor based in Phoenix) back in 2015. It still just doesn't pencil out for most people as a daily driver, here in the U.S. as least. Until you own and live with one like I did you don't know what it means to make the move to an EV. It's a totally different life and you often have to schedule your day around your EV and charging station locations, so there's always going to be range anxiety for a BEV daily driver. It's really a necessity, similar to how a private pilot plots their flight plan for fuel stops at airports along a given route. On the other hand, GM's Ultium batteries use a high level of nickel, an obvious expensive precious metal and I'm curious to see if they found a way to quickly charge the batteries with a higher level of nickel content that maybe extends the battery life. GM also just released "Ultium Drive" their in house EV drive division. It's not surprising why Honda Motor Co. and Nikola Corp. are partnering up with GM for their Ultium product line. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2020/09/16/gm-introduces-ultium-drive/5814405002/
  5. I watched this episode when it originally aired. Pretty badass Power Wagon!
  6. Budget cuts in R&D are definitely showing at NMC. This is if they don't go bankrupt first.
  7. Two same year, same model pickups that are also very different, but beauties all the same. I'd take either in a heartbeat. '56 Chevrolet 3100 4x4 NapCo '56 Chevrolet 3100
  8. Vaccine (no thanks...I'm good)
  9. An airdam that probably only saves 0.25 mpg. Took the one off of my '17 Colorado Z71 that I had right away, it does look MUCH better and gives it a lot better front-end ground clearance. It has approx. 15 or 16 freakin' screws in it that screw in from the top down so it's kind of a b!tch to get your hands and arms up in there from a creeper on the floor, but it pays off in the end.
  10. Some of you just need to relax and have fun on here. It's a car blog not everybody is going to agree on everything all the time. There are a couple of you on here who find the need to berate others because they don't state something that you agree with or don't agree with what you state on here...you know who you are. We've all most likely been a part of it and it's really unnecessary. Go take out your anger on something else. I think @Drew Dowdell and others would agree. Take a couple of DEEP breaths and think about it before you go off. Cheers! 🍻
  11. My Father once told me that as teens he and his buddies would jack up the front of their Chevelle's and stuff wood blocks in the springs to make the weight transfer to the back for better traction off the line when drag racing...it worked too. Highly dangerous and not recommended of course. Kids will be kids.
  12. Funny how they're bouncing it off the rev limiter the whole time. Throttle House rocks! Said to be the new "Top Gear" just need one more guy. Thomas and James are hilarious and good at it. When they tested the Camaro ZL1 1LE, Dodge Challenger Hellcat SP, Ford Shelby GT500 TP video they had Jason Cammisa on to drive the Chally. That would be an even greater show with Cammisa who's also really good and hilarious, he has his own shows ISSIMI and The Carmudgeon Show, good stuff. I'm subscribed to the channel and watch pretty much all of their videos. Always screw with each other like brothers would. It's great!
  13. Grew up on a farm too, driving John Deere tractors, riding lawn mowers and farm trucks in the field when bucking hay and all, also would sneak onto the road near the house once in a while I love to drive, it makes a big difference getting behind the wheel and learning everything about driving at a young age too.
  14. Jaw dropping?...nah. Hard pass, the exterior is fugly and the interior is nothing special...ugh those Hyundai/Genesis steering wheels are the worst. And if you can't park you shouldn't be driving for sh!t sake. I learned how to drive in a '91 Suburban and paralleled that b!tch like a pro for my driving test, can parallel and get that perfect distance from the curb no matter what I'm driving to this day.
  15. Only VDubs know how to Roll Coal!
  16. 23 pipes to make ya understand! The Golden Goddess Benzo! The newest German Tank added to the fleet...
  17. This is a great pic too with FDNY Rescue in the background 💪🏼👍🏼
