  1. I'd take a 70's or 80's K5 or Jimmy. Have always liked the K5, love the square body years, miss my '86 3/4 ton 4x4 long bed Chev., never should have sold it was super clean. '55 Willys would be cool too. Built like these ones...
  2. "The 2.0L boxer-four isn't a great sounding to begin with, sounding like a bucket of bolts being shaken." That was good Maley, I got a good laugh out of that! It's true they are an odd sounding engine. I think the only thing these cars have going for them is the RWD driving dynamics, a lot of drifters like them. They definitely need some more pony's under the hood and to drop the MSRP at least $5k!
  3. Right?! I started having chest pain just looking at it too!! Way too big to ever be able to eat like a human, fork and knife burger for sure! 😂
  4. In the PNW Les Schwab Tires is one of the best places to buy with a decent warranty, free flat repair and air top offs, probably Discount Tire after that. I've heard Costco is a good place too with pretty good pricing and warranty, just never bought from them as of yet. Discount Tire here, although I bought my last set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers from the lift shop that installed my leveling lift kit, actually better pricing than Discount when I price checked them. Would have never purchased Nitto's 10 years ago and was always a BFG's guy, but I like the more aggressive side walls of the Nitto RG's and the quality increased significantly after they merged with Toyo Tire and Rubber Co., both made in the same factory in Georgia.
  5. Too true! So annoying! Especially when they look at you like you're speaking some foreign language. They need to cut some slits or drill some speak through holes in them at an avg. height. Costco is the worst, plexiglass panels all the way down the belt and counter side with no break in it at all and it's always busy and loud in there. Only cutout is where the CC machine takes your card so they can swiftly drain your bank account! Dangerous place! I have a feeling it's going to be the 2022 (was 2021, thanks again Vachina) Silverado 1500 front-end refresh with maybe a few small tweaks here and there. It does look nice, cleaner and meaner.
  6. ICYMI @Robert Hall Sierra AT4 has black leather with the Kalahari inserts and stitching so they're not only all black or gray interiors.
  7. Nice crop of Walla Walla sweets! Yeah, not surprised about the Ford EB V6 lawsuit. They DO NOT get good fuel mileage at all, no better than GM's 5.3L or 6.2L V8's, so what's the point? They sound like crap (Raptor) and it's a fact that those EB V6's and it's accompanying turbo have to work a lot harder than a NA V8 to move weight and keep it moving, like a heavy trailer or load of dirt or rock in the bed...hence the crappy mileage. I'll take my SBC V8 in my truck any day over a TTV6!
  8. I have a 2.25" TrailMaster leveling kit on the '18 K2 4x4 and it's perfect. Fits 33x12.50/18's perfectly, no cutting and no rubbing at all even at a full lock turn. Anything higher like I've had in the past is overboard and kills the handling, mpg's and causes unnecessary wear and tear on the chassis, ball joints, tie rod ends etc.
  9. break? Oh, brake lines with a break in them?!
  10. Just read that too. Pretty fitting IMO...
  11. AND the light color tans/cream or light gray leathers get stained from dark colored slacks or blue jeans rubbing off on them, even if you're careful not to slide too much on the seat when getting in or out. Very annoying!
  12. Yep, that's my next truck, Sierra AT4 in Satin Steel Met. Gray, 6.2L, 10AT, Carbon, M-Pro. I like the monochromatic look of the black chrome grille or like my current '18 K2XX Silvy Z71 Crew with the body color grille, bumpers, door handles and mirror caps. I'll pass on all the chrome, it was "cool" in HS, not now and I'm just fine with black leather interior, thank you I've had Cashmere leather interior (Cadillac's cream color) and medium gray they just get old, I get sick of looking at the tan or cream colors for sure. Dark gray interior I'm good with as well.
  13. Just had El Po Lo for lunch. Pretty good. Comparatively, I think Chipotle is fresher. Pretty funny how much we talk about food on this car blog. I think it's usually @oldshurst442 or @David fault!
  14. Congrats and welcome to the full-size Chevy truck club man! That's quite an upgrade and size increase over the Buick Encore, don't scrape the shiny wheels on a curb cutting corners, Gus needs much more room to turn in corners 👍🏼
  15. Oh I miss Taco Time. Only in PNW and N. Cal. My fav are the deep fried Crisp Bean Burrito or BOB as they call it as well as the berry empanada pie that's rolled in cinnamon and sugar, yes as good as it sounds and yes the tater tots are tasty as well. Much fresher Mexican/American fast food than Taco "Hell". They used to have a TT in the town I grew up in, but it closed down years ago. I miss the Saguaro cactus sign
  16. Yep and you'll be happy to know that a front-end mid-cycle refresh is coming at the same time, since we all know you've been losing sleep over the current one 😂 it's grown on me and it's much better in person, but I do prefer the current GMC Sierra over it.
