  1. Holy cow! Dude can get to a crazy low octave! @Drew Dowdell can we add the WOW 😲 emoji to the quick list at the bottom right?!
  2. Hate the ones that think they need the left lane, but don't get going with the flow! It's far more dangerous than speeding if all cars are moving along and one moron who can't drive for sh!t decides to jump in the lane without adjusting their speed to the current lane speed! Doesn't happen when driving my full-size truck hardly at all, but if it does they see what HID's on high beam can do in their mirrors at night from a FS truck If you're going to hit the #1 general lane or HOV pay attention and get moving or just stay to the right.
  3. What?! No white or orange/brown interior this time?
  4. Just read about these big Ford recalls on the morning News feed. Especially concerning are the "brake" lines that break Backup camera issue sounds like it's more of an electrical voltage drop issue than just the cameras' too.
  5. @Drew Dowdell You got the 300C you've been wanting! Shhh...nobody tell Albert I like the two tone interior when the lighter colors aren't overdone and the dash isn't a light color. A light colored dash reflects up on the windshield when it's sunny creating a distraction, and once you notice it it will drive you crazy, so a black or dark colored dash is the way to go. Congrats!
  6. I just saw one of these Hyundai Sonata's on the road. It was coming towards me down a main thoroughfare and honestly from a couple of blocks away it looked like a car that had just been in an accident. I didn't know what it was until it was across the intersection from me. The strange front-end looks all droopy like it was parked too close to a structure fire and it melted the grille and headlights, and the way they ran the LED light piping up the hood looks really out of place, just plain ugly in person. I thought to myself man they must have gotten a screamin' deal because they definitely didn't buy it for the looks 🤣
  7. Ugh that polarizing front-end and grille, every time I see it it looks worse. The back quarter view and rear end definitely have that Lincoln Continental vibe. Such a basic cheap looking steering wheel for a luxury car. I can't see them moving many of these here in the U.S.
  8. Meant "pedal". That was a David'ism. Ha!
  9. ...and Fred Flintstone's trap door in the floorboard to peddle it if you don't want the 4.3 propulsion system.
  10. Right, David already mentioned many other OEM's who've used them so added my actual experience with Bimmer. Speaks to the quality of the 'ole GM Hydramatic trans. Except Toyota is the Hybrid king, fully against EV's and BEV's. They still think Hybrid is the way today and are fully vested in it.
  11. GM's Ultium Drive powertrain seems like it's going to be a game changer for sure. Pretty awesome they are building all of it in house at GM Powertrain. Afterall, the powertrain is the heart of the car and should be built by the actual manufacturer of the car...looking at you Toyota Z err Supra and FR-S err 86 and all Infiniti SUV's with MB powertrain's 🖕🏼 Even BMW used the GM 5 speed 5L40/50e Hydramatic AT in the late 90's early 00's, my parents owned a couple of 540i with the 4.4L V8 (a '98 and '02) with the 5L40e, that had super smooth, crisp shifts, awesome cars, horrible A/C systems. GM used them in Cadillac, Pontiac and Holden cars among others. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_5L40-E_transmission
  12. Yep. And the gauges are functional actual readout gauges with engine temp. 0 - 260 F, oil pressure 0 - 80 psi (big one) and actual voltage 0 - 18 volts, not idiot gauges like the competition uses with C - H and L - H, really like how GM has always used them in their trucks and SUV's and continues to. It's the detail oriented part of me that likes it I guess
  13. Oh, see I like the 2" lift, it's a perfect stance for the truck and you can clear 33x12.50's with no body or bumper mods on a K2, and since I'm 6'3" and have long legs it doesn't bother me getting in and out without steps or running boards
  14. Looks like the aircraft style cockpit and controls are here (C8 Vette) and others that might be finally coming after seeing the Cadillac IQ line and other manf's. BEV concepts and future interiors. Only needs a yoke style steering wheel when you're hardly going to need it. Looks and sounds disastrous! Especially for 60's tech. Ha
  15. That's common for Jeeps I hear LOL!! My cousin has a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I mean like @balthazar stated it's the same model. It's hard to change too much on a layout engineers have worked on perfecting for decades. What do you want the steering wheel in the middle of the dash?!
  16. It really isn't, if you sat in both back to back you'd see the obvious differences. The dash layout is different, the center stack is more spread out in the '19 - current T1XX and it's slightly taller with a longer, flatter front. It also has new buttons, dials and switches and totally new steering wheel. I prefer the center stack of my '18 K2XX right now. It'll all grow on me, but it is noticeably different.
  17. Very true. The Silverado LTZ they chrome the bumper and lower trim as well as the grille...WAY too much chrome. I agree, GMC does it right with the Denali, the in your face chrome grille works because they have the bumper the body color. Body color bumpers or all black like the TB are the way to go. Sierra AT4 for me, body color bumpers and black chrome grille, looks sick.
  18. Yeah, the 6.6L Dmax package includes the Allison trans. as well though. I'm seeing different pricing on the I-6 Dmax here as well. On the sticker an LTZ and HC with the Dmax is $995 option, but an RST Dmax is $2,390 option...THEN an LT RWD Dmax is $3,890. Looks like there's def. some padding in the higher trims. But, THEN you look at the RST, LTZ, HC even LT TB with 6.2L option and it's $2,495 across the board. WTH?!
  19. GM and other automakers do not market their EV's much at all, maybe that will change. I think GM's marketing dept. is told to push to the masses what moves on the lots even though that seems counter intuitive, no real need to market them as much if they are selling well. That was the biggest reason for the Volt's demise and the ELR as well, a horrible marketing campaign, even though the ELR was also priced too high for it's class. The Voltec powertrain was great and really the best technology for the current "fueling" infrastructure we have. We shall see what The General comes up with for the marketing campaign of the new Cadillac IQ line of BEV's and what they do with the Silverado/Sierra e trucks in the coming months or years. They have more skin in the game now, so it should be a much different show.
