  1. As an 80's kid born in the mid 70's witnessing the sh!tbox wagons on the road with faded or peeling paint with the diesel engine belching clouds of black soot into the air...yeah I remember the French cars that were once sold here...told myself and my buddies that's one car I would never own. The gutless, rust bucket '85 505 GL diesel with 95 hp and 150 lb.-ft. is Peugeot's image to most Americans' who were around here when they were...good luck Groupe PSA.
  2. Yep. Hmmm, I got like 11 mpg running E in mine too. I know what you've been doing because I know how I drove mine! 🙌🏻 Actually, my avg. would drop into single digits because I lived up a steep hill and the loud pedal would be smashed for about 20 sec straight on the daily, had to try to improve my avg. time of course 😂
  3. It's known to corrode the aluminum internals, but that's only with long term use when it's all you're running. Better to mix or switch off like Drew is doing. Interesting fact, on cold start up the fumes smell a lot like rubbing alcohol 😄
  4. AKA cleaning out the carbon! Haha E85 gives her a few more ponies too, but watch the mpg's drop a few. I used to do the same with my '09 Silvy CC that was a Flexfuel. Runs richer on E85 bcus it's not as volatile as gasoline, but does burn much cleaner.
  5. Yep, similar to my Airaid CAI system on my truck, thick ABS plastic tube as well, that's what you want 👌🏻Wait until you stand on it the first time after install, sounds pretty good, like an old 4 barrel Quadrajet carb when the huge secondaries open 💪🏻😁👍🏻🇺🇸
  6. Nothing about that comment has anything to do with my childhood ya weirdo. I had a great childhood, how about you? Oh that's right you don't get a long with your parents like I do. So I guess it makes sense you'd go there. It must be the lack of oxygen up in Seattle with you and the stinky hippy anarchists you live around
  7. Knew that was coming! 😁👍🏼🍻
  8. Even more sinister looking is this Coupe version with new LED headlights that add a scowling kind of glare look to the front, 2021 Alfa GTV. 👍🏼 https://www.caranddriver.com/alfa-romeo/gtv
  9. De La Hoya (D@mnit Olds you just beat my reply! 😜
  10. Or for $80k...C8 for me! https://www.caranddriver.com/features/columns/a33633294/the-dollar80000-would-you-rather-c8-corvette-or-f-350-tremor/
  11. Anybody else notice that the Genesis emblems are NOT consistent at all. From the back of the car to the steering wheel they are not even close. Obviously, the ones on the outside of the car will be larger, but it looks nothing like the steering wheel emblem that has flatter wings and is slimmer and looks more like a Chrysler emblem, even the emblem on the window sticker is different from the others. Word to Hyundai Corp., get all your graphics guys together and use the same d@mn emblem if you want to have brand recognition at all. Good thing it still spells out "Genesis" for the non car people out there. You're welcome, HMC.
  12. Fiat? Oh, yeah, no thanks. Now, if by Fiat you mean an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio, we're back on the same page. Yes, we all know they're known to be unreliable, but what a sweet, distinctive looking ride inside and out. Definitely a Ferrari feel with the interior design and the same red Start/Stop button on the steering wheel. Sat in one at our last Auto show, she was a gem.
  13. Install CAI and buy a Hypertech MaxEnergy handheld tuner. It really helps throttle response and you can disable the AFM V-4 crap that eventually destroys the engine, run a reg. or premium fuel tune, adjust for tire size etc... I can attest to the fact that it's totally worth it and it works well. I've also found over the years that Magnaflow has some of the best sound and build quality for AM exhaust with their flow through design it lets her breath, but it doesn't have that obnoxious drone sound that develops in the cab like some other brands.
  14. A lot of History and Engineering going on here: "The Pilot Sport 4S ZP is Michelin's Max Performance Summer run-flat tire developed in conjunction with some of the most demanding vehicle manufacturers. The asymmetric tread pattern of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP features side-by-side, 24 Hours of Le Mans-derived compounds. The low-void outer shoulder utilizes a new dry-focused hybrid tread rubber for improved dry handling and braking over the previous generation tire, while the center ribs and inboard shoulder feature a silica-infused wet compound designed to increase wet braking performance. The computer-modeled Variable Contact Patch 3.0 optimizes pressure distribution across the contact patch through turns, reducing hot spots and improving tire life during aggressive use. Internal construction of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP features twin steel belts reinforced by a spirally wound hybrid reinforcement ply. This hybrid aramid and nylon belt offers a lightweight, high-strength reinforcement above the steel belts to enhance high-speed handling, wear and durability. Specifically tuning the application of the cord filament provides Michelin engineers the ability to balance tension and strength, and a single-ply, polyester cord casing balances trade-offs between ride quality and responsive handling." Come on David, you know Drew has a lead foot!
  15. Hard to go wrong with Michelin. I put a new set of the Pilot Sport 4S ZP on the C5 last Summer and she rides better, quieter and handles so much better than the Goodyear Eagle RF's. To be fair the Goodyear's were older, but it never hooked up during "spirited driving" (GM legal counsel language that cracks me up) even when they were new like the Michelin's do. They are getting great wear as well, Michelin's rubber compound chemistry is pretty amazing.
  16. CL ad - "She's a little thirsty, but man she runs good" 😂
  17. Miata has that cult following for sure, like the RX7 clubs that are still alive. I know a guy in my hometown with a couple of very clean RX7's who's in a big club in the PNW. Rotary or Die for those guys✋🏻😐
