Compared to cars of today? Of course they are not the best handling cars out there. Look how far technology has come in the past 35 years and it's not hard to see why. Why did GM stuff big blocks in the smaller cars?(Tempest, Nova, etc) Because there were already people taking big blocks from Impalas and Bonnevilles, and putting them in their Novas and Tempests. I wouldn't consider that someone looking for basic transportation, or compare them to Camry owners.

Well I said G5 because, I remember reading somewhere GM is expecting to sell 30,000-50,000 G5s per year. I believe if the G5 were RWD, it would easily match that. Also, the topic was not only sales, but image benefits, which I believe the car would definately have a better image if it were RWD. I'll go back to fantasyland now.

I live in Arizona, it has been 110 degrees for the past week, and probably wont go lower then 100 during the day until late October . I will still take a black car or truck over a red one anyday. I also have black leather interior in my car.

Sales are going to continue to fall, and I don't believe there really is a way to stop that. With the Malibu being updated, and now Saturn with the Aura, G6 sales will probably decline as well. GM has alot of divisions, and they cant all be volume divisions, unless they are all selling the same types of cars. Scion wouldn't be able to grow too much without cutting into Toyota's sales either. Pontiac and Buick need to find their niche and stick to it. Neither will ever be Chevy or Cadillac. Sales will drop, but whos to say they shouldn't have dropped already, and that they are artificially inflated by taking sales away from Chevy?

With my 2000 3.1L Malibu that I had before I got my Grand Prix, I averaged 34mpg on a 1000 mile trip to Texas. Though around the city I only got about 17mpg.

Yea, I think pretty much everyone agrees(except for BM) that there is no magic solution that will make all GM's problems go away overnight. GM's problems didn't appear overnight, and they wont go away overnight.

Actually they do have some drugs that might help, BM will just need to follow the men in white suits, they will find him a nice place to stay. He will only need to take a few pills a day. The only side effects will be that he will be shuffling his feet due to the pills.

When I'm easy on the gas I get about 25 combined. I guess thats not too bad for a car with 280hp since I did some work to it. I could probably get about 30 if it was all highway.

Yep, I live in a truck state so they are not too hard to find. I heard sales of new trucks haven't slowed even with gas at $3 a gallon.

I wish that were the case here. We have about 10 super walmarts, and a handful of regular walmarts. We used to have a Safeway about 200 ft from my house, but they closed. I wonder why?
