  1. Sounds great for the short term. I can see this hurting them in the long run though since they were a money maker

    2007 BMW V5

Similar, especially the front end, but nothing more than many cars these days. If you would have posted it with a Vibe to compare, I never would have thought it looked like one. The bimmer is 10X hotter though IMO
  3. They use the term “running XXX model car” pretty f@#king loosely. The only thing that associates a NASCRAP car to a production vehicle is the name and engine block supplier
  4. But if CR is willing to use data they know is biased (which I believe to be a safe assumption), then its fair say that they are biased as well
  5. true. but if they would have waited, they could have timed it too come out at the same time as F&F 3
  6. Is it just me or is it sad that the only one at GM with the balls to stand up to CR is Lori Queen?
  7. MKZ and MK X..oi thats bad. Almost as bad as Ford cars starting with F, SUV start with E, etc Do they have an amnesiac 5 year old coming up with their names now?
  8. what are you trying to point out here?

    ....

I'll wait for the SRT version
  11. i have yet too see one. Might be a good time to go in and see how badly Mitsu wants to get rid of their trucks. EDIT: We don't have them up here, which moots both my points. DOH!
  12. no. last thing GM wants is people thinking of a $h!ty movie when they think of the Buick flagship
  13. there was alos a lot more market share to go around back then. In today's automotive climate, I think the best we can expect is 2 of the 3. Pontiac having 2 performance coupes just isn’t realistic IMO when you already have the Camaro and Solstice GM stable. Not to mention the higher priced Vette, XLR, etc.
  14. thats cutting off yoru nose to spite your face. It just doesn't make sense. Unions are one of the big reasons (along with corporate mismanagement) GM and the auto sector in general is in this mess.
  15. even if GM does declare bankruptcy, they arent' just going to disappear. GM will probably be around, in one form or another, longer than any of us will
  16. Sure it migth be fun, but it doens't make business sense. I’d bet that a large majority (over 90%) of the people who buy the Yaris could care less about having that much power. The number of sales a larger engine might attract wouldn’t be worth it compared to the added engineering it would require IMO
  17. You guys gotta remember, the Yaris isn't targeted at car guys like us. Its targeted to people who want a cute little car, ie. my girlfriend who loves it inside and out. Personally, the exterior is pretty good compared to what else in its segment. The interior is a bit Spartan for my tastes, but its functional.
  18. it looks to be the same colour as the the camo Z on the sides so I think/hope it won't be there in final production
  19. You guys see cheap and lazy, I see efficient and cheaper, something GM could use. Fact is you’ve got to look away from the road to see your gauges anyway. Having to look down and to the side makes little to know difference. The couple of times I’ve had to drive cars with centered IC’s, once I got used to looking in a different spot, I was never bothered by the location

    Some Zeta Bits

wouldn't there be a Buick zeta in there too? I’d imagine the one big reason why they wouldn’t build them under one facility is that the Camaro should be built in the USA, can’t let Ford have the only US built muscle car afterall. It would be a great marketing tool as well. While most car buyers don’t care where a car is built, muscle car owners tend to be more willing to buy a car based on its build location.
  21. Huh? Up until the Solstice and GTO, I haven’t been excited about a Pontiac in ??? years. The Solstice doesn’t count cause it hasn’t been around for years. The GTO, while a great performer, was pretty bland looking. And The Grand Prix’s/Grand Am’s weren’t anything to write home about, performance or looks wise. Frankly, I like the look of the new gen Camry (with the grill) better than that of the current GP.
  22. I can hardly wait for the NASCRAP package
  23. So that’s whats goin in next door. A contractor I was chatting with told me that Toyota had asked him to do some setup work for a second plant which had be for a while
