  1. That is my feeling too that while the building has some great classic lines, I question just how much it will cost to clean the site up, then bring it up to code and is it in an area that can actually drive business? Will it be apartments, retail, what? What is in the surrounding area that could benefit from this becoming an updated building? The area seems to be a dead area and sometimes you have to make the tough choices to put it in the history books and clean up the land for new uses, parks, modern business building, etc.
  2. My family has the following colors: Escalade ESV Platinum is White Diamond. Was the only one available when I went to buy. So no choice. Trailblazer SS AWD is Garnet Red, CPO so was limited on choices, other two on the lot was a silver one and black one. Took the Red one. GMC Suburban SLE - Teal color, bought new, picked that color and love it. 99 Durango Silver, was CPO so no other choices at the time I bought it. Grand Cherokee, Rhino color, bought new. I take the Ford mantra in the opposite, I want my auto in any color other than Black or White!
  3. BEST SOLUTION EVER! https://jalopnik.com/dominos-is-fixing-americas-crappy-roads-for-pizza-safet-1826736405 If dominos can do this and cities are willing to let them patch and tag it for advertising. I say open up the roads to other companies to pay for patching and tagging. Love this story of the top 11 auto's at the concourse. http://www.automobilemag.com/news/eleven-favorite-cars-2018-concorso-deleganza-villa-deste/ My favorite is
  4. I want to play this, Indianapolis 500 in Mario Kart 8. I love this, it would be a fun 4hr play time with lots of Pizza, bananas and everything else that would be fun. http://www.thedrive.com/video/21077/we-recreated-the-indianapolis-500-in-mario-kart-8-and-simon-pagenaud-approved
  5. ouch 4 days before the reveal of the new BMW 8 series, a BMW engineer giving his girlfriends mom a ride in the prototype crashes and she dies. Sad. http://www.thedrive.com/news/21451/passenger-killed-after-bmw-8-series-prototype-crashes-in-germany-days-before-official-debut Another reason Unions need to change and stop protecting long term employees that have criminal records. This guy should have been fired for his driving while drunk, instead due to seniority, after his assault and DUI in 2016 he gets to keep his job and assault people again 2 years later. http://www.thedrive.com/news/21443/brooklyn-garbage-truck-driver-totals-at-least-9-cars-while-drunk
  6. Seems to be getting uglier, Mercedes-benz has One Million Diesel auto's of Euro Spec 6 the latest Diesel emission regulation that have cheating software on them and now it seems Audi's leadership is clearly being investigated for Deceptive marketing and selling of Cheat enabled Diesel auto's. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/06/11/audi-ceo-suspect-german-diesel-emissions/ This is going to truly kill off Personal Diesel auto's I think. I honestly do not see Diesel surviving except in Trucks / SUVs that are used to haul trailers. The cost has been negated by superior petro engines.
  7. R34 is a lovely Skyline as well: R33 was a nice version too have to say that while the 72 & 73 are very nice, or what is known as R30 and R31. The R33 was nice but too rounded for me and the R34 just nails it with the right angles and roundness. Then the R35 is just R32 and R35 are my least favorite Skylines with the R35 being the ugliest. R32
  8. Would be awesome to find an old one and restore it or even make it a pure AWD EV powertrain. I have seen some of these that have had a modern Skyline powertrain put into them. We need to get auto's back to having some individual style. Right now like @balthazar has stated we have a very stale stable of auto design right now.
  9. Love this 1972 Nissan Skyline GT-R
  10. I agree, I really like the solid black rim. Wish they would do a Black Chrome as well as a Matte Black Powder coated rim. I think both of those have been under utilized.
  11. One Auto I always wanted to own and thought looked great was the 2 door Yukon GT. I think GM needs to bring it back.
  12. How about a 2 door Escalade. I like this. Guess others were thinking along the same line according to New Auto Car Preview.
  13. Two colors I am so tired of, why not have a rich Burgundy, Deep Forest Green or if they want to go on the wild side give us a 60's era Candy apple red or green. This is a special package, give it some special colors not just more of the lemming Black or White.
  14. @balthazar Please tell me what you think of this 55 Chevy. Is it the nicest in the world? http://www.automobilemag.com/news/watch-ten-reasons-might-worlds-nicest-55-chevy/
  15. These signs crack me up, amazing what governments to common people post to inform others! http://www.hyperactivz.com/signs-that-are-just-too-hilarious-to-take-seriously?utm_campaign=Clever Signs *MSN Safe* Fun V101.1 LiEN BG - Desktop USA&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=msn-msn-home&utm_term=Clever+Signs+That+Prove+That+Sarcasm+Is+Alive+And+Healthy&utm_content=https%3A%2F%2Fprod-pubplus-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fab521aef-58dc-4310-a949-b2b77849e757.png
  16. History is great and we learn from it, but I see little value in saving every old building. Society moves forward and you have to eventually say enough is enough and leave it in the pictures of history books. I really question what is gained by spending millions on renovating a building that has no use in today's business or personal society. I am sure better things can be done with the land than renovate it and try to make it some sort of tourist destination.?
  17. Totally agree as the Coupe thing is so over now.
  18. Seems to have a functional EQA running around Italy. I wonder how much of the lighting affect will make it into the final auto?
  19. Clearly Buck-o you not only did not read Bills write up nor any other web site as people are coming in asking for the V6 and V8 Hybrid system called eTorque and they are nowhere to be found. FCA is late to the delivery of this system. Per Bills write up: The 3.6L V6 and 5.7L HEMI V8 with the 48-volt mild hybrid system are nowhere to be seen. "I have customers looking for them and asking about them every week," said an unnamed Ram dealer in Michigan.
  20. Sweet package, this is so nice. Wish it had some other colors as I am not a fan of white or black. Dark sky metallic is just blah. Where are the rich lovely maroons, dark forest greens and other shades that have a ton of metallic.
  21. Interesting, the autocar link is no good and searching their site seems to have pulled their own story, but here are a few more links covering this too. https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/the-porsche-cayenne-coup-has-finally-been-confirmed-ar181451.html http://www.thedrive.com/news/21409/porsche-cayenne-coupe-reportedly-confirmed-for-2019 https://www.topspeed.com/cars/porsche/2019-porsche-cayenne-coupe-ar163949.html Weird in rereading all the links above, I see they all quote the same Autocar report that is now pulled from the web site. Wonder what is going on with the story? ?
  22. @ccap41 @Cubical-aka-Moltar Yes Ram's eTorque system is their 48 volt hybrid system based on all my reading at other sites and from FCA own news releases. http://media.fcanorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=18753&fIId=18758 Or if you cannot get to the website here is the PDF version to read. 2019_Ram_1500_-_Powertrain.pdf Comparison including pricing by FCA against Ford and Chevy. http://media.fcanorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=18914 Like Bill wrote in the story, people are going to the Dealerships and asking for the Hybrid truck. One would think if you announce it, state you are building and shipping the trucks that they would show up on the lots then.
  23. @balthazar This is getting some service work done at the shop I have used in the past. Saw it and thought of you.
  24. A little bit different as when Ford and GM announce they are building their 2019 products and shipping them they actually do. FCA announces building and the start of shipping and then very little has actually shown up. FCA might need to get a bit more control on actual delivery. Tesla approach does not work for them.
