    I see voting up or down as one way to agree or disagree with a persons comments. In civil society, most people who up vote might or might not make a comment and move on and people accept this. We all like to feel good. In civil society, when you downvote, it is expected that you would also post your thoughts on why it is a down vote and not just vote down. As stated by others this is seen as vote trolling. We here at C&G encourage all forms of discussion and debate and only ask that if you are going to downvote someone, then post why you disagree with them. Fairness and integrity is all that is being asked of posters to this forum and that you at least respect even if you disagree with what people post. We will never always agree on everything but we can agree to disagree seeing each others views and still move forward. This is civil society and what I expect and I imagine many others here expect also. Sounds like a more civil way to debate.

    Crazy when what ever you want to call what happened in Venezuela be it socialism, dictatorship, communism, etc. has made life harder on the citizens and stopped to the point of rusting mess on infrastructure projects that would have brought a better way of life to them. Case in point is the rotting dam left after American companies pulled out when the Socialist leader took over the oil companies and started to make state owned everything else. This led to loss of thousands of jobs, not to mention the lack of electricity that would have been generated and available to the people.

    Makes one wonder just how fast we will change over from an ICE to an EV culture once people have test drove an EV. Since Torque is 100% from Zero, the smoothness that you experience is just amazing. Anyone that has driven a Tesla, Bolt, Leaf knows this and realizes, HP is a piece of the puzzle that moves an auto. Torque is the more important piece and allows one to have a truly satisfying experience of silky smooth motion. I agree with you that I would take the smoothness of the older V6 over the 4 banger.

According to this NBC NEWS Story: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/general-motors-says-venezuelan-officials-illegally-seize-plant-n748741 GM has called it quits, but is being far more honorable than other companies and especially the political environment. GM is going to pay their employees Separation benefits as they are forced to stop all productions and sales in the country due to the illegal seizure by the government. GM hopes that once they run the courts in addressing this illegal act, the can come back to be the leader once again in the market with jobs and products. This shows how great the GM CEO is in dealing with world wide issues. She could just walk away and pretty much no one would blame her, but she wants to continue to take care of the workers and hopes to be back in the market asap. Mary you rock!

    Totally agree! Awesome new profile Pic Drew!!! @oldshurst442 I get what your saying but I think a nod to the heritage of the Fin can and should be done via the tail lights. Cadillac has done a very respectable job on the current taillights that acknowledge the tail fin history.

    Agreed, they could use this 420hp, 560 lb-ft of torque racing ev motor and have an awesome car that enthusiast would love. This AM Racing motor is based on the very proven Remy 250-90 cartridge rotor using their HVH technology. As I posted in this thread, Which I also posted about Jeeps 3 row Plugin Hybrid SUV, I have to wonder what GM's plan is long term for EVs. They really need to communicate better. Yes they have been investing long term, but we have seen very little for the so called long term investment and it would help them to market their long term thinking of how they plan to capitalize on the Volt and Bolt Systems.

    GM stopped building the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade Hybrid and you rarely see them on the used market as they are excellent products. The first year was great, but GM then after the initial first marketing blitz did what they always do, stop advertising and of course the dealers do not advertise so the product dried up and sales went to next to nothing as only hard core people were following it and knew about it. Sadly GM could have really ramped this up if they focused on refining it and continued to advertise the benefits, yet cheap gas also contributed to them not wanting to invest in a more expensive product compared to profits of an ICE version only. Only now are more and more people asking about this.

    Awesome info, Stuart Johnson should be fully protected against any and all prosecution as the whistle blower and I bet the Executives including the board did know about the cheat code. Hope others also do the right thing in exposing corruption at corporation levels.

    True, Yet GM needs a PlugIn Hybrid and I see no reason not to use the VOLT system on a Terrain or Equinox. Better yet, increase the size of everything and do this to the Acadia and Traverse.

Autoblog story International Business Story While in America we got the Hellcat and Demo, China show had a Jeep Answer to the Honda Pilot and Volkswagen Atlas. Pictures I grabbed from the story.     Interesting statements. I pose that after thousands of years, if god existed, he has enough proof of wrong and write to take humanity to a new system of purity if this so called god existed. Since this has not happened, I propose the next logical best thing. A intelligent species that is capable of interstellar travel visited this backwater world when Humans were just starting to evolve and as such the ignorance of man mad them a god or gods. This is why places like Venezuela have dropped to self destruction and steal companies property like what has happened to GM. Some so called leader / dictator is now thinking he knows best for the people of the country and is in reality just another idiot trying to steal the wealth while suppressing the people. Too bad GM did not have a way to defend their properties around the world.

    Interesting question that comes up with your 911 comment is that yes, it could be a plugin hybrid, electric motors on both front and rear axle with a generator in the back. Will Porsche be willing to build them in china? This way they get credit for a plugin hybrid as anything built outside of China is not considered a hybrid even when it is.

This is based on the simple research of what autos are on the road still based on age and how many miles they have. End result came down to buying a truck or SUV is a solid investment for long life use with a few exceptions. As the research found out, the top 14 autos ended up being those that were over 200,000 miles and exclusivly made by General Motors, Ford and Toyota. Seems no one else in the US has auto's with high miles still on the road registered and running. The story goes on to say that the top seven autos, all SUVs are driven an average of 14,407 miles per year. 14% more than the average vehicle in the US.
